    Hunters Roofing
Bid on the contract, showed up on time for estimate.  Put everything in writing, answered all questions and were available by phone when needed.  They also used email to communicate.
We had one issue, where somewhere along the line during the demolition a piece of room fell to the ceiling and caused an indentation.  They did not feign ignorance or anything.  They reviewed the damage and they took care of it in about a day.  They patched it, sanded it, and matched the paint perfectly.  I can't even tell exactly where it was now.  Also, they did some attic fan wiring, which was great.  Overall, I can't be more satisfied with their work.

    Love Remodeling
I purchased a Big Deal for roof tune-up and inspection from Angies List on 10/16/2013. The service provider was Love Remodeling. Several days later, Mr. Nick Zislis and his colleague Ron  from Love Remodeling  came to perform the tune-up and inspection job. After spending some time inspecting the roof, we came to talk about the conditions of the roof.
My roof consists of two portions: At the central part, a raised, rectangular flat roof approx. 750 sqf, covered with non-metallic roof material, and the remainder are sloped roof covered with metallic tiles. The metallic tiles were rated to last a very long time. The flat roof material was rated to last 15 years, so it was due for replacement.
During talk about the roof conditions, Mr. Nick Zislis said that the previous contractor did not do a good job, because they did not remove the existing roof materials; they just laid the new materials on top of the old ones; and for Love Remodeling, that after removing the existing materials, if the roof deck was damaged, they will replace it with no extra charges. He also stated that they use only their own crew to do the job; they don't use day laborers, so the quality and craftsmanship of the work can be assured. This led me to think that they will do a good quality job. So after a brief discussion, I signed a contract with Love Remodeling for them to replace and repair the flat roof for $3,600.00. Comparing with my two neighbors who replaced and repaired their roof just recently, I knew I paid a higher price. However, I thought I was paying for a better quality job.
The key points of the contract are: (1) Remove and haul away all existing layers; (2) Replace damaged roof deck as needed; (3) Install base sheet underlayment; (4) Install new metal strip edge and metal flashings on all pipes and vents. (5) Install metal flashing around flat roof-slope (metal roof) approx. 100LFT. (5) Install torch system cap sheet rolls (gray color); (6) Clean up and haul away all work related debris. (7) Job includes labor and materials.
Several days later, two workers came to my house to work on the job. I was not at home when they arrived, so I did not have a chance to talk to them before they started the work. In late morning when I came home, I saw these two workers were already on the roof, part of the roof edges already tore down, and they started laying the sheet rolls without removing any existing layers. I told them they needed to remove the existing layers of material before laying on the new sheet roll. But the conversation was difficult. Also I saw these two workers drove a pick up truck to my house. The truck loaded with tools and materials, yet there was no big trash container to haul the removed materials. This led me to think that they did not plan or prepare to remove the existing materials as the contract specifies. I told them to stop the work and called Mr. Nick Zisllis. I told Nick the work being done, and said to him that was not complied with the contract stipulation. Nick said he would come right  over to check it.
Nick and Ron came to my house shortly, and Nick talked to his workers in Spanish for a while. Nick then said to me that the worker said that when they removed the existing layers, they found that there was an insulation layer, and if they removed the the existing layers, the insulation layer would be damaged; so they did not remove the existing materials, just laying the new ones on top of it. I said that removal of the existing layers was a key point of the contract; besides, the insulation layer was a layer of the roof, so just like the roof deck, if it was damaged, it was to be repaired or replaced. Nick argued that in the contract, there was no specific mentioning of insulation layer, therefore, if I wanted to remove the existing layers, they would do it, but then the new roof will have no insulation layer. I told him that was out of the question. The old roof had an insulation layer to provide good insulation, I certainly wanted the new roof to have insulation. The argument went back and forth for a while, then Mr. Nick zislis offered to reduce $200 from the original contract price to proceed the work, without removing the existing layers of the roof. I was quite upset, and I felt I was backed into a corner, because part of the roof edge was already tore down, I worried about rain coming; if the roof not fixed, I was going to have a leaking roof, and I had to leave home for an extended oversea trip shortly. I finally reluctantly agreed to proceed the work without removing the existing layers.
The work completed the next day. When I looked at the roof, the work was lousily done. The edges of my old flat roof originally were quite pretty; the replaced ones looked ugly. I called Mr. Zislis and asked him to come to look at the roof for himself. He came later, and he himself admitted that he was not satisfied with the work. He said he would ask his workers to rework it. After the rework, the problems were not corrected. And I had to leave home for the trip next day, Mr. Zislis promised that he would ask his workers to correct the problems while I was away from home, and asked me to pay for the work. I withheld $500. and paid the remaining amount.
After I returned from the trip, the problems were not all corrected. However, I felt that I just wasted my time to push further. I paid the final $500 to get this unhappy experience behind me.

We noticed water stain on our second floor ceiling and suspected a leaky roof. We called Skyline to set up an appointment for roof inspection. Jeff called back promptly and setting up an appointment was painless. He arrived at the house on time and proceeded to inspect the roof. As it turned out, the leak had to do with the debris that had accumulated and blocked the water flow when it rained. He recommended some minor trimming of the tiles to improve the water flow, and we set up the appointment for the day after. He again arrived on time and completed the work in about 45 minutes. The whole process was smooth with no fuss. We will definitely consider using Skyline's service again for future roofing needs.

    The Rain Gutter Specialists
Extremely satisfied.Spoke to Guy over the phone and set up appointment. He gave me an estimate on the costs over the phone using Google Maps/Streets.Based on that estimate range,Guy indicated that his crew could do the install based on my approval of the estimate(I was unable to be present as this is a home that I rent out and is  a little distance from where I live )which was very competitive.Due to an early cancellation he called me  and said he could take care of it within a day or so.I appreciated his follow up  thereby getting the installation done sooner than planned. After the job was completed by his crew they forwarded pics showing what had been done.I definitely will call them for future work on my rain gutters for my own home(the work was done on a rental home that I am fixing up)

Above & Beyond Rain Gutters Inc
Rick came out and gave us an estimate.
We discussed where the gutters would go, and where the downspouts would drain.
Rick's price was so good (to me) that I didn't bother with the Angie's coupon.
Rick's crew arrived today, a week later, and completed the job in 2 hours.  The gutters look great!  Just in time too.  Its supposed to rain tomorrow.
If you need gutters, at least have Rick out for an estimate.  For me, the contractors reputation is more important than getting another dollar off.

sRon was easy to work with.  He was very punctual in providing a quote and warranty information.  The estimate and completion time were reasonable.  Once the service date was set, his crew was on time if not a little early to start the job.  It took about two and a half days to complete the work.  The workmanship was very good and the foam roofing seems to keep the house a little cooler.  I would use his service again and recommend him to friends.

Everything went great! Paul came out and gave us an estimate that seemed fair for the number of wndows (about 32 plus two french doors) and the size of the house. The guys showed up right on time the day of the appointment. They got to work right away. There were 5 guys and each one did his thing. The gutter were cleaned out, the valleys on the roof were cleaned out, the house power washed (never had that done before and it really needed it), the screens were removed from the windows and power cleaned. The windows were washed first with the hose, then by hand. I didn't have the inside of the windows done, but I did request that the window sills be cleaned, and that was not a problem at all. Just to be on the safe side when the hose was used on the windows, a guy came in with a towel to catch any water that might come in. That was great. I was worried about that, but nothing went wrong. When it was necessary to come in the house, they took their shoes off and left no mess behind. Paul came out as well to see how things were going and if there were any concerns. I will definitely use them again, and this time I'll have them do the inside of the windows as well. The house looks great. I am very please with the workmanship and the results.

    John Day General Contractor
It went well.  I got my roof sealed so that I did not have to reroof for awhile.  It stopped the leaks when it rained recently.
As for how well the solar fan works to cool the attic and house I do not know yet because it was installed in the fall instead of during the hot summer months.

Update: 06/09/2014 Recently the fan stopped working and when another contractor went up on the roof it was not the fan that the big deal had stated.  He charged me full price for a lesser model.  Also, he was to seal the roof and it is now leaking, it was a preventaive measure and it is leaking anyway and I paid $100.00 for the sealant.  I am suggesting you check the product before he installs it to make sure it is the one he is charging you for.

I called Rick and he got back to me right away.  We made an appointment and he came out on the date and time scheduled.  We showed him the problem.  The gutters had worn out on two buildings on the same poperty.  Both buildings were two stories.  He explained to us since our gutters were the old style size (the building is at least 75 years old) he could not attach the new gutter to the old ones (the sizes did not match up).  He had to repalce the entire line front start to finish.  He measured both areas and gave us a reasonable price.  We explained that he would be able to come out in a couple of weeks, and that was fine with us because we were not ready quite yet.  He promised to call ahead of time when he would come out so we would be ready for him.  Sure enough, he called ahead and came out just as promised.  His guys did the work neatly, correctly, and it looks great.  Rick also came out while the work was being done to make sure all was going well.  We will definetely use Rick again.

    Rancho Rain Gutters
They gave me a whole schematic of what work needed to be done, what needed to be cleaned out, and the large giant big job they could do if we wanted fuller maintenance.  I just needed the one area repaired, and they were very willing to do that.  Rancho Rain Gutters did a wonderful job, and were very efficient.  Their prices were reasonable, and they seemed very professional. They took the time to know what our needs were.  They got back to me very quickly.  Oh yes, I would use them again.
