    Abshire, Dr. Bret B
First, he was an hour late for the appt. He looked at (supposedly???) my MRI pics and said I have scoliosis. I attempted to ask questions TWICE and both times he sloughed me off and continued with what HE wanted to say. He recommended I learn to live with the pain because it wouldn't be an easy fix and pain could return later on. Wrote an order for me to have an exam at Eisenhower Clinic in Palm Desert only to change his mind a couple days later and asked me to cancel that appt!! Interestingly, the written portion of my MRI said "Normal curvature of the lumbar spine" so how he came up with 'curvature of the spine' is beyond me but when I tried to ASK for clarification, that's when he'd cut me off b/4 I even could. All done with this guy!

    Gisi, Dr. Sylvia A
After years of going to Dr. Gisi, the standard of care has dipped lower and lower. Office staff used to be a team and communication was excellent; nowadays her staff is comprised of externs and inexperienced "professionals". It was always a game of jumping through hoops to even be seen by the Dr, let alone get the proper medication when I was ill. I have since switched to another primary care provider.

    Brigid Freyne MD
This office is terrible! We waited over an hour for each appointment. The staff was rude, and listened to patient messages on speakerphone where the whole waiting room could hear. Dr. Freyne has no bedside manner at all. She hadn't even looked at our chart before she came in the office. She didn't listen to me or my daughter at all. I would rather drive an hour to go to another doctor than visit this office again.

    Rolando Atiga MD

After he cancelled the second time, which I learned of while in his lobby on a Friday, and after I took the morning off to attend my appointment, his staff said, "he is at a conference" and "I tried to contact you."  I asked how long he knew of the conference, as this was the second time he cancelled using the excuse, but she smirked as if to say she was covering for him, and then laughed when I became irritated. His staff literally laughed a person who is ailing, and concerned!

We all know, especially those of us in professions that require continued learning, conference are planned months and months in advance, and are heavily marketed so that if you receive a flyer for a conference, in May, it is likely for a conference in November, six months away.  There is no excuse for a doctor to cancel appointments that have been on the books for two weeks in order to attend a conference.  It is inexcusable.  It is also a clear sign that his attendance at a lack-luster sub par, unranked unaccredited school like Ross University, was not a fluke or a decision weighed against attending an American University, but was his only choice, because he does not possess the qualities of doctors who were accepted into real medical programs accredited by the LCME.

    Michael Felong MD,PHD
Dr. Michael Felong conducted a thorough review of blood test results and any change in my conditions during our annual review. Some reductions in medications were implemented because of improvements in results.  Retesting was scheduled for August to monitor the results. Dr. Felong's staff makes everything easy:  by anticipating blood work needed and arranging in advance of my appointment; they follow up routine questions by email which is very convenient and responsive to non-critical issues; and they prepare the Doctor in advance so that his and my time are optimized. His staff also was on top of my immunization records and made recommendations for boosters needed, which I implemented.   Dr. Felong is a knowledgeable and caring professional who ALWAYS makes enough time available to ask and answer questions.  He stays up to date on the latest developments and is careful to review my health status in light of any new developments.  He also has good knowledge of specialists I may need and refers me to them when needed.  This is a General Practice that is extremely good at what they do.  Reminiscent of 'old school country doctor' but in a modern practice.  I've been with him for 10 years since moving to the area.  Great experience.

    Rancho Family Medical Group
    UNRESPONSIVE, UNAVAILABLE, UNFRIENDLY, UGH!
Decent medical care in Temecula is impossible to find. Rancho Family Medical Group no exception. I woke with a bladder infection this morning. Knowing that these only get worse, I tried to reach an on-call doctor so I could get a prescription right away. The operator tried to reach the and quot;on calland quot; doctor's cell phone, home phone, back up phone... to no avail. Finally at 8:00 a.m. they put me in touch with a nurse at my primary care doctor's office. She told me MY doctor was unavailable that day, and that her back up doctor would not be available until after 10:00 a.m. I kept being told to just go to urgent care. The website claims urgent care opens at 8:30 a.m. The office operator told me it opens at 9:00 a.m. Several calls later I found out that urgent care wouldn't open today until 10:30 a.m!! How urgent is that?? Finally, after MANY phone calls, bladder pain, and frustration, I was able to get a doctor to reluctantly call in a prescription. While on hold, the friendly recording went on and on about the caring, compassionate service that the medical group prides itself on. What a complete misrepresentation. My experience was completely unsatisfactory.

    Gisi, Dr. Sylvia A
Doctor was more punctual than most, but also not particularly thorough. For a quick, run of the mill appointment, it was fine, and I will go back. I wasn't overly impressed, but I wasn't immediately turned off either, as I am by many doctors in the area. I will give her a second chance in the future.

Kaiser Permanente Medical Center - Fontana Depart
It went well all the way.  I like the accessibility, getting the appointment, getting in on time, getting out, getting things taking care of out of concerns, their thoroughness in trying to diagnose and finding out what's going on.

    Murrieta Family Medicine
She's excellent. I've been with her for years, does a lot in 6-8 minutes for me and am paying major medical premium to them. I recommend them. She's punctual. The staff is very nice. I got my daughter there and she's doing great.

    Curtiss Combs MD
Primary Care Provider. Ongoing excellent experience all around. Doctor Combs is knowledgeable, thorough and personable. Staff is available and responsive and provide superior customer service (they actually answer the phone, call you back and fax prescriptions). A welcome relief to the "cattle-call" approach of our last primary care provider with a staff that took pains to find ways to not communicate with or assist patients under their care. Would not now consider a primary care provider other than Dr. Curtis Combs.
