    Blazer Septic Construction

Twenty years ago, under new construction of our home, we had a steel septic tank installed. I had read that your lucky if a steel tank would last 20 years. Ours should have been replaced 4 years ago. The top of the tank had so many small holes in it, it looked like rotten Swiss cheese. This tank was so decrepit, even the baffles had fallen off. So, in order to save our leach field from being corrupted, for 4 years, as we saved for a new tank, we hauled our "used" toilet paper to the landfill.

    4 years later:

In one day: Blazers came in and emptied our completely deteriorated steel septic tank. Then removed that old tank and later hauled it away. With a backhoe they expertly chipped away at the rock bed to make a level place to set the new concrete tank. The backhoe operator (the father), used his backhoe like a  surgeon uses a scalpel; he cut the rock out smooth and level and clean. The delivery truck with the new tank was there and waiting, as Blazers had preplanned. After the new tank was in place, they plumbed it to the sewer line and leach line. Then, after the Kern Count inspector sighed off on the job ticket, Blazers back filled and covered our new tank. And we are so happy.

The owners of Blazers Septic Construction, a father and son team, were the most honest contractors I have ever had on my property. They also were very polite and friendly and informative.

Seeing how difficult it was to cut out that hard rock, I had expected them to add on costs to their original bid. But they did not!

If you ever need septic work done, call Blazers. You'll be glad you did.

    Tehachapi Plumbing Company
This company was assigned by my home warranty company after the first plumber assigned failed to show up.  He was on time, answered all my questions, kept everything clean, did the job correctly and very quickly.  I am completely happy.  They were all friendly and made every effort to get the replacement quickly.  They actually seemed to care and want to make sure that we didn't go without hot water a second longer than we had to.

Alpha Omega Discount Plumbing & Drain Services
This company was chosen by my home warranty provider. They made an early morning appointment; promised to be there before 9am.  After 10am they still hadn't even called.  When I called them, the dispatcher made it perfectly clear that they couldn't care less.  They offered to get around to replacing my water heater sometime the following week.

First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation
I had two issues which required a plumber and an electrician.  They assigned companies who never showed to do the work.  I called to get a new plumber assigned and they just didn't bother.  I had to speak to five different people there and I still haven't seen a single workman.  some of the people I spoke to were nice and at least pretended to care, most made it plain that they didn't care and I have zero faith that they will honor the contract and get the repairs done.

    The Plumbing Company
He ended up making my garbage disposal leak after working with the pipes under the sink. I called the company and they said I was lying and trying to get extra service out of them for free. Everything worked perfectly before he did any work.

    Plumbing Doc
It went very well.  Plumber arrived on time.......went right to work figuring
out problem and did the job.  My pipes were tricky and the glue would not
set but he stayed on continued work until all was working properly.  He
continued to keep me updated on his progress and apologized for the
delay.  He completed the work and cleaned up area leaving things as he
    found them.
Very courteous and professional young man.  We are extremely pleased with
his service as well as the company

    Plumbing Doc
We have used the Plumbing Doc before and have always been very pleased with their services.  They have done extensive work for us including:  Snaking backed up plumbing twice, replacing poorly configured construction of the pipes out to the septic tank (i.e. replaced the 45 degree curves with wide sweeping curves), serviced our water heaters, replaced toilet components that we couldn't seem to get replaced/functional, and then today's event whereby the toilet paper roll fell into the toilet as it was flushing and it got stuck up in the throat of the toilet.
They have always been very responsive, professional, up front about pricing, offering discounts for repeat business, and always meeting the timeframe agreed upon (or they let us know if they are running late - we're not just stuck here wondering).
There are actually five or more local plumbers in this rural city, but we use Plumbing Doc, even though they come from 45 miles away and we know we're going to have a nominal travel charge to our bill.  But, when you've been through what we've been through, you learn that you save money (and hassle and nerves) by using someone you can trust, and that does a good, sound job.

Major Plumbing Service & Repair inc..
This seemed to be a difficult job, as the main water line was buried a couple feet below concrete. Jason had to jack-hammer out the concrete to get to the main, and work in a very small deep space. When finished, he poured new concrete to cover the hole. The "loop' was perfect for the water filter installation. He was on time, professional, and cleaned up any mess left over.

    A.S.A.P Plumbing
As this was an emergency he immediately scheduled an appointment. Our faucet had broken on the master bath shower and it caused a pipe to break. While scheduling we discussed price and the type of faucet to be replaced. I explained I wanted a certain handle on the faucet and he said I could purchase my own and he would install it.

I purchased the style I wanted and had it for him at the house for him to install. It was 1 1/2 hours past the appointment time and he called to say he was running late. When he finally arrived, he was 3 hours late and did not offer an apology. I gave him the faucet I had purchased and he went to work. He had previously explained that he would have to cut a hole in the wall to have access to the pipes. He failed to explain that he would not be repairing this hole and that I would have to hire someone else to fix it. As he was so late arriving, I had to leave for an appointment before he completed the repairs. When I returned home I went and checked his work. I was disappointed in the mess he had made and not cleaned up and when I checked the faucet, the was a gap from where the plate cover and the tile where you could see into the wall. Also, the wood frame he cut to access the faucet was not repaired, therefore the pipe and faucet was not secured and moved around when moving the faucet handle. I immediately called him with my concerns and he said " Well that would not have happened if you had used the faucets I have". I told him he did not inform me of this and if he had I would have used his faucet. I was extremely disappointed in his work and lack of professionalism. He was recommended by a co worker whom has never had a problem with his work.

Arrived on time for both the estimate and the job; cleaned up perfectly and explained exactly what and why they were doing the job. They're long time Tehachapi businessmen, and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a PRO!
