AMatthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

AI have several medical issues and some very serious allergies to medications that can make treating me "interesting". Dr. E. has always kept those things in mind when he suggests a course of treatment. He asks not only about the reasons for the current visit but about how things turned out from the last visit - and he listens to the answers. He reviews any test results with me and makes sure I understand them. If I need a referral to a specialist he makes sure I get it. Besides being an M.D., he's a licensed Acupuncturist, with an extensive knowledge of herbs. His ability to blend allopathic and complimentary medicine is, I think, a great advantage to his patients. His modus operandi seems to be - if it works, use it - and he will quickly modify a course of treatment that doesn't seem to be getting sufficient results. He's conservative in his treatments, starting with the less radical and progressing as needed, monitoring all the while. He and his staff are friendly and compassionate, willing to extend extra time and attention if it's needed. (That's be the main reason he's often running a bit behind schedule.) His commitment to the treatment of the underlying causes, not just the symptoms, for my physical problems and his concern for my quality of life make him, in my opinion, not just a doctor, but a Healer.

AI have been dealing with a significant case of adult acne since approx. the age of 30. I thought that by 40 it would certainly clear up - no chance. Okay surely once I hit menopause it should be a thing of the past - nope, not even then. Through the years I have consulted with several dermatologists without results (the last one suggested acutane but the side effects terrify me) and I started to feel as if there was no hope of anything other than the slight improvement that time and maturity offered. Finally, at my wits' end I went to see Dr. Dana (who was by then practicing in Eureka). I didn't really expect that he could offer a solution either, but it was either try again or attempt to find a nice veil that I could wear anytime. But miracles of miracles he had a completely different approach and offered me a prescription for an old-time drug (with no bad side effects) that I had never heard of in spite of all of my Internet searches and doctor visits. He seemed so sure that this would solve my problem that he really inspired confidence. And lo and behold, within 10 days or so my complexion began clearing up wonderfully and I am no longer self-conscience about my appearance - and I am forever grateful to Dr. Dana.
In addition to his competent handling of my problem, I really appreciated the fact that he seemed to truly be concerned about me and how my feelings about my complexion affected me (rather than just seeing me as a paying client as many doctors do). The office was clean and pleasant and the office staff was friendly and professional. All in all I couldn't be happier with Dr. Dana and his practice.

AThe office was very professional and the Doctor (Rhonda Strunk) knew what she was doing. I got a full skin check and also had two moles biopsied.
My only issue was the cost. It was $450 for the two moles to be removed and biopsied (even with insurance).

AHe is an excellent doctor who listens to and takes the time to discuss things with you. You may wait awhile to see him but everyone understands why and doesn't mind the wait because they also want him to spend time with them. I wouldn't change doctors for anything outside of moving out of the area.

AMcCray, Dr. MichaelI have to go to a dermatologist annually for skin checks (I have had several moles removed in the past that were precancerous). I usually see the assistants, I haven't seen Dr McCray yet, but the assistants are very good, so it works out. They check me over well, and are always willing to look at other skin issues I have and answer questions. Last time I went in, I had some severely dry skin on my hands and she prescribed me a steroid cream medicine as well as recommended an over the counter hand cream to use (one that I could buy at Walgreens). That took care of the problem very well and I really like the hand cream she recommended - it works well and isn't very expensive. I like that they don't seem as focused on the cosmetic stuff, although I am sure they do those procedures. I have been to dermatologists in the past where I felt like I was just taking up their time with my skin cancer checks vs their cosmetic patients. You go in those places and there are large cabinets with fancy products they will try to sell you. Dr McCray's office seems to avoid those traps, which I like.- Sarah F.

APalo Alto Medical FoundationIt was easy to make an appointment. I actually had to reschedule my appointment once and the staff was very courteous in finding another date that worked for me. The front-desk check-in process was quick and easy, the receptionist very courteous, but I was disappointed that the front-desk staff was not able to provide me with any information regarding what my portion of the bill would be. I was called in for my appointment within 5 minutes of my appointment time, and seen by the dermatologist immediately. The appointment was quick, maybe 10 minutes. The MD was kind and efficient, but I felt a bit rushed. Nonetheless, it has been my experience that PAMF provides excellent service consistently.- Valerie F.
