    Floor Maintenance Service & Handyman
When I called Arnold to get a quote, he said he could be at my house in an hour. That was a good beginning for me.  I thought his price was reasonable for the scope of the work, so we arranged a date for the job.
Arnold did a great job of stripping, cleaning and waxing my kitchen/laundry room/bathroom floor!  The floor is a white herringbone brick pattern with gray "grout" (that was beginning to look black!)  It had not been professionally cleaned in a few years, and there was a big build-up of dirt and old wax. He did two rounds of stripping plus scrubbing the "grout" with a wire brush by hand, followed by three coats of wax. This 34 year old floor (yes, 34 years!) looks pretty near new again! Thanks, Arnold!

Sureshine Marble And Stone Care & Restoration Services
I was really impressed with this company.  The actual OWNER of the company showed up (on time) with one additional worker and they did the entire job themselves.  I was supposed to move some of the small furniture, but I was having some back pain, so they moved everything and then moved everything back when they were finished.  They did a beautiful job and I would recommend this company to anyone interested in having their stone floors done.

    Ory's Hardwood Floor
Ory responded quickly to our request for an estimate.  At first I told him I had found someone else, and he was really nice about the rejection!  Then when that provider didn't work out I called Ory once again--he didn't say "I told you so," but graciously accepted the job.  It was a small section of flooring that had been unfinished because it was covered with an entertainment unit.  When the unit was removed, that section of flooring needed to be completed.  Ory and his team did that and the adjacent area, and it looks
beautiful.  He also told us he could come back and polish all of the wood flooring in the house without the need for any refinishing
(something we had been told we needed by his competitors but were postponing).  In short, Ory is trustworthy, professional,
and hardworking, and we will use him again.

    Leo's Holland Floor Maintenance
The tile and carping were pretty dirty from years of use.  Especially the group in the family room and kitchen.  Eric arrived and gave me an estimate, and because of his clear knowledge, friendly manner, and good price, I booked him for the job.  It was a big job, and he was fitting me me in to help me with my schedule, so his workers came in the afternoon over two concurrent days.  They even stayed late on the 2nd day to get the job done.  I couldn't believe the change in how the tile looked.  The carpets, too.  As a bonus, Eric had the crew clean and seal the granite and tile counters.  That was really nice.  I can't say enough great things about this company.  I have a lot of stone and tile in my new house.  I will be hiring them shortly to come here and clean and seal it all.

    Lynn's Flooring
He was nice, prompt in communicating, etc.. When he and his associate arrived (on time), I ask how much the extra bath floor tile would be, then the kitchen backsplash -- each about 35 sf. He told me $50 for each. I agreed, then he upsold me on doing the kitchen counter for another $50, too. (He then also offered to do the back patio flagstone for $300, which I declined.) I gave him payment for the agreed-upon extra work in advance, had to get to my own workplace, and said I would give him a fair review on Angie's List dependant upon work outcome. He would lock up when done. Before I left, I asked him if he had some paperwork, like an invoice or receipt, and he said the check I provided was sufficient.(?)
I arrived back home later  that evening and first felt that the work done was just okay. I wrote him about some areas that didn't seem very clean. He said the $99 offer didn't include stain removal. Two days later, I tested the grout lines after the sealer had properly dried. I wanted to see if water beaded up on the grout lines. It didn't as far as I could tell and I had tested it in three areas. Not sure if he used an inferior product or what.
All-in-all, not terrible, but disappointing. When the guy arrived to do the work, he told me that I wouldn't believe how mean some customers could be. I also assume his profit margin's not high, which is another part of the reason I didn't mind some of his upsell--so that he felt the job I had was worthwhile and hopefully be better motivated to perform quality work. I wish to be fair and say that the kitchen/family room floor definately look better overall, as well as the granite counter top. Maybe the bathroom floor and backsplash look better--am not really sure. But the deal/agreement included sealing grout, which clearly appears shoddy. And I have had another vendor do these floors before with a better outcome for $250. So the quality for the price wasn't there, largely due to the sealer issue, but also some non-stained areas just seemed less clean. Not being mean here, just honest.

Update: vendor says he's willing to come out to attend to things once we are both available within 2 weeks.

Further update: Harry sent Kevin to come out on May 27. Kevin was polite, further attended to about 150 sf per my direction, and definately made improvements, which I appreciate. I question his wanting to use dilluted muriatic acid on grout lines. In my quick research, there is a lot of controversy about using this, especially without first wetting the grout joint as it can weaken it. He didn't know about this in his "12 years of experience," but he respectfully honored my request not to use the dilluted acid. After scrubbing with some other cleaner and allowing it to dry, he used a spray bottle to coat the area with sealer--not just over grout lines, but over tiles--borrowing my Swiffer to spread the sealer across the floor with a paper towel. (In the past, I've seen sealer application only to grout lines, not to tiles unless they are natural stone.) I am very pleased that Kevin was sent out, he worked hard over the hour and a half, and he made great inroads in improving the look. The sealer is possibly better in some grout lines, but a mist of water is absorbed in other grout areas I just now tested, so that was marginally corrected.

    JJ Marble Restoration
It looks very good. I did not want to go through the expense and project of replacing tile, plus I just like my retro tile and wanted it to look renewed.  I realized it would not look brand new, and I did not expect it to, but I am really happy with it. There was one small problem that I did not notice until after they left, and they were very quick to respond and returned to fix it within a couple of days.
They are coming next month to clean, regrout, and seal my kitchen counter tile.  Jimmy and his helper were also pleasant to deal with.

Very professional and quick, the work was done in a half day.  Everything looks great, they were able to remove stains and acid etch marks from the floors and counters.  Gave us some tips on how to maintain the marble and how to get some iron stain out. Great price versus other estimates we received.

    Clean Touch Carpet Cleaning
We had a great experience with this company. They were professional from start to finish, the carpet looks great and their price was very reasonable. In fact, their price was low compared to some of the other ads that I saw. The next time we need carpet cleaning, they will be our first choice.

    Leo's Holland Floor Maintenance
Eric and his workers were terrific. I thought I might have to replace my hardwood floors, but after using Leo's Hardwood Floor Co, I don't need to. He did exactly what he said he would do. The company was on-time and finished as they said they would. I would recommend them and use them again without hesitation.

    Valley Carpet Cleaning
I always use Valley Carpet.  They have quick, clean, courteous and professional crews.  I was especially pleased with the work they did on our kitchen floor which has white tile and white grout.  The grout has gotten quite dirty over time and they cleaned it to look like new.
