  • The first visit was free because the dog was adopted and they paid for the first visit. They got us in pretty quickly. They're a little pricey, but we'll probably keep going. On the responsiveness, hey followed up and everything, they were very good.

  • I brought my cat to the Valencia Veterinary Center.  I received a initial consultation by Dr. Baljit Greywall, then a estimated bill was quickly provided to me where I had to first pay 1/2 of the estimated cost which came to  $800. An itemized bill was provided to me,  and they admitted my cat.
Then I was required to pay 1/2 of the estimated charge which came to $400.
I was told it would take 3 hours to get the results from the X-Ray and Blood laboratory test.
I had arrived at 1030. by 1230 the Doctor had the lab reports back and he called and told me that my cat's
blood test did not look good and that the x-rays he was unsure of whether my cat had a blockage or mass and would need to perform a ultrasound  and possibly surgery. The Ultrasound was estimated from $350-$380.00 in addition to the $800.00
No estimated price was given for the surgery.
Dr Baljit Greywall was contacted by the cat's co-owner, who questioned the MD in detail, the MD disclosed that the cat's Xray revealed an enlargement of kidneys, and liver and that blood white count was not elevated but the cat's liver enzymes and, Bun and Creat ( Kidney test) where extremely high. Most like the cause was a mass/cancer
I returned to the clinic at approximately 1:pm the doctor told me my cat had started having difficulty breathing and was in-tubated and was given oxygen, and was on pain medication due to pain.
As a result of my cat's rapidly failing health status I reached a difficult decision to put by beloved cat to sleep.
I told the MD that the cat due to cancer would need to be put to sleep. I watched and stood by my cat and watched as the MD administer two small intravenous push medications in an intravenous line that was already in place. I  was charged  an additional $155.00. to have my cat Euthanized.
Only after I let the doctor know that I wanted to have my cat euthanized did Dr. Greywall tell me about the grave condition of my cat and the extreme toxic levels revealed in his blood work, or the abnormality of the liver shown in the x-ray and that his respiration had been off and on and that my cat had been place on a respirator, due to respiratory failure. This doctor was well aware of my cats grave status once he saw the x-rays and blood test, yet he worked to rack up additional charges on my cat who was terminal.
In no less that  3 hours the bill was $800.
The company final returned to me the charges for the urinalysis which was never performed. Refund was provided when they had no proof that they had performed the Urinalysis which cost approximately $40-50.00

  • Before we spent a lot of money for lab work, x-rays, etc. Dr. Hare chose to put our cat on antibiotics to see if it may be a simple bladder infection. It was a bladder infection and I'm glad Dr. Hare didn't insist on doing ALL the tests and an entire work-up that would have ended up being negative anyway.
Dill Veterinary Hospital has been in business for over 40 years. Dr. Hare (the current owner) began with Dr. Dill over 20 years ago. It's very clear that he cares deeply for animals, and empathizes deeply with concerned pet-parents.
The vet. tech. was great with Sophie and kept her calm and still in such a way that I wish he could bottle and sell it! I never look forward to putting her in a carrier, etc.
The office staff was friendly and pleasant as well.
I HIGHLY recommend this veterinary office if you live anywhere in the San Fernando Valley. They are right off the 118 freeway at San Fernando Road. You won't be disappointed!

  • They are friendly to us and took good care of our baby. I have been going to them for a very long time, probably eighteen years. I ve tried others, but Dr. Mackaar is the best. I would highly recommend them to others. Their pricing is better than average, and the quality of work is great.

  • Dr. Marting shows a lot of care and compassion towards the animals, they are very fair and honest. I've been going to this place for over 10 years and have never had any problems. Sometimes you have to wait but it is well worth it.
