  • I was very pleased with the service that I received. Especially the photos they took of my smile. Very professional.
    I returned to have the work perform that was recommended. Dr Howard did an excellent job. Very Efficient.
    I had fillings performed in two different teeth in addition  I had a new crown placed over a chipped tooth.
    Prices are expensive with cash the crown was $1600.00
  • There is a reason this gym has an F rating with BBB.  Beware and check your bank balance or just DONT JOIN.  I joined this gym in march 2015.  My first trainer flaked a couple of times then during our first session my toe was broken (I have since learned that he should have wrapped my toes and required me to wear special shoes before this type of training).  No apologies or interest of any sort from gym management when I told them.
    Jeff, who seems very sweet but has done absolutely nothing to help me, signed me up for an $85/month fee with a free training session once a month.  Then a few monhs in Dina told me this was a mistake and to get a trainer I had to pay $140/month plus pay the trainer on the side, what a rip off and scam.
    I cancelled my membership in person at the gym (still have a copy) but started receiving collection calls 9 days after I cancelled.  I called Dina who is the "manager" and she was rude, p***** off I left a bad Yelp review and hung up on me.  LOL she said I was slanderous.  If you look at the reviews everyone has the same complaints; no AC, outdated gym, old equipment, bad smell, dirty, no towel service, rude staff and BILLING PROBLEMS.  My review is my experience, thats how it works.
    Even though I cancelled in person AND called Dina I continued to be harassed by the billing company.  I had to change my bank account to get them to stop, then they somehow found the new account and continued to charge me.  After I cancelled they started charging me DOUBLE meaning they were charging me two separate membership fees ($85 & $140) each month along with late fees and no-pay fees.  I had to open a brand new account at bank.  I also found a random charge for $114 they STOLE from me for no reason and with no explanation.  Luckily Bank of America refunded the stolen amount after I filed a report with them as well.  
    I went to the Sheriffs department here in Valencia for help.  Before I finished my sentence the officer behind the desk knew what I was talking about.  He, and his elderly mother had also had the same problems as had many other sheriffs. They could not help me.
    I filed a report with the Better business Bureau  (complaint 445687) and the gym never responded to them or any of the other BBB complaints against them.  Its shocking to me to see this gym has screwed over so many people but its still standing. Hopefully this review will prevent this from happening to any more victims.

  • I am new to this area and chose Dr. Shields on the basis of his Angie's List listing and his website.  What appealed to me was his experience and the wide range of techniques he is skilled in.  I had been treated by another periodontist over a many-year period prior to moving here and despite two gum surgeries, there was little improvement.  I was assured all along the way that my case was severe and that maintenance was the best that could be hoped for. To my amazement, Dr. Shields changed all of that!  His goal is a total cure, (not an annuity provided by quarterly cleanings.)  My condition has dramatically improved through Dr. Shield's thorough, thoughtful, skillful treatment.  I started with many deep pockets everywhere, and there is now just one left.  Dr. Shields is very personable and approachable (he has great family stories), but also extremely serious about resolving his patients' problems.  I highly, highly recommend Dr. Shields.  I have been astonished at what he has accomplished and very satisfied.

  • I love going to Dr. Hamel's office. I have this deep rooted fear of going to the dentist from some horrible childhood experiences, but now I actually look forward to my appointments.
    When I moved back to the Burbank area in 2009, I hadn't been to a dentist in a while as I couldn't find someone where I'd feel comfortable.
    So, I asked a colleague for a recommendation and he suggested Ian Hamel; Im still so thankful for that introduction.
    Dr Hamel and his friendly staff have taken care of me ever since. And together we have resolved all my dental issues, so now I only have to go for check-ups and dental cleanings.
    I never felt like I was being "sold" to. They have worked with me, my budget and my insurance to schedule all necessary appointments to optimize my coverage while still medically prioritizing what I had to get done.
    I'm so happy with them and can only suggest their office.
    The atmosphere is positive and friendly. I'm very sensitive to pain related to dental work, but the treatments are great as I've told Dr. Hamel and he's very considerate in that regard. Every filling and such of his, has been a case of "set it and forget it" - never had any issues with his work later. And he's even had to remove a filling from a previous doctor that wasn't done right - no issues since he fixed it.

  • We see Maria, the dental hygienist there. The dentist accepts my insurance and doesn’t charge out of pocket expenses. They take the total payment from my insurance that I’m happy with. Their staff is real friendly. They have a coffee machine that you can get a coffee on your way out. I pay once a year. We have what they call open season to change dental plans. They helped me with the best dental plan that would best work for me and for the dental office. They did above and beyond. I’m very happy with them.

  • From the first phone call to the time I left the office it went very smoothly. I'm always in and out. Just like clock work. I work crazy hours and I can only go durning my lunch hour. It's so nice that they accommodate people late evenings on Mondays and Saturdays. I try to leave those times for people that really need it. I've been a long time patient and have referred many friends and family. I can only say good things about this office and the wonderful staff. My extended referrals have referred a number of patients.

  • The waiting room is clean and very nice. I always get in right away and have never had a problem with waiting. The staff is very friendly and compassionate. Dr. Beth Marcus is the doctor I see. She is very down to earth, and gets the job done. I really like her nurse practitioner who has an excellent bedside manner.

  • Outside of office was small and very shabby.  Inside was adequate and the staff was pleasant, however, I did not think the prices were competetive.  My previous orthodontist charged about 55% less for a retainer and no charge for follow-up and/or tightening.  This orthodontist wanted $75 for each follow-up and/or tightening.  I have returned to my previous orthodontist even though they are very far away and have fewer office hours.

  • This practice has multiple offices and the office I have seen her at is in Del Mar. The doctor, Dr Barba, does not really stand out. She was good, but not great and also not bad. I don't have too much to say about her. The office staff is really helpful. I have called to get prescriptions updated or changed and they are really responsive. They seem to care about you getting your stuff done fast. The doctor is just an average doctor, I guess. They are a little hard to get in to see.
