    Kaiser Permanente
We will see if it is a lasting and total fix, but so far my care has been wonderful and affordable. I love Altha Greenstone, and the hospital stay was much better than with SUtter Health. Kind and attentive nurses & staff, really concerned about managing pain, not waking you up every hour.

Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Medical Center
The neuro surgery floor had very professional, caring staff who made me comfortable and stable before the surgery and provided excellent post-operative care. My surgeon, Dr. Hou, had great bedside manners, took over an hour to explain the procedure to me and my family before the operation. He also prescibed functional and regular MRI's before the operation so that he could be sure to avoid areas in my brain that could cause problems. After surgery and a couple of days of recovery, the symptoms I had were greatly reduced. My neuro-oncologist, Dr. Piia Thomas, was in the same group as Dr. Hou. She was very compassionate and explained the treatment options in an understandable and clear manner and side effects that I could encounter during these treatments. The neuro-oncology group has also been very responsive to my questions via telephone and through Kaiser's messaging system.

    El Camino Hospital
Brought into the ER from my house by paramedics. In severe pain, the nurses and ER doc were responsive and tried to help me as best as they could. However, the wait for the ultrasound machine and the oncall specialists took many hours. This was all the while I was in a great deal of pain. The specialist I saw was a good clinician/surgeon but had awful bedside manner. However this hospital has a lot going for it. Ties to Stanford gives it access to top specialists who do attending physicians there. Very new facilities so comfortable for the patient. I spent two days there and I wold say the nurses there are significantly nicer and more caring than the ones at Stanford.

They are very good. All the nurses there have a very good bedside manner and they are very helpful. Everything that is going on there, they will tell you.

    Palo Alto Medical Foundation
They have been excellent. Their service is excellent. It is a very large medical group and a part of other health groups. It is gigantic. My wife goes there a lot.

    Good Samaritan Hospital
We have used Good Samaritan Hospital twice for child delivery and once for the emergency room. Every time, we have gone there, we have been so pleased with the service and the staff. The facilities and equipment all seem very new (second maybe only to several other hospitals). The OBGYN/Birthing area is very nice with spacious, private rooms. For child birthing, they allow and encourage family to stay with the mom for the entire duration, whether it be 5 hours or 36 hours. We used Good Sam hospital because that is what our OBGYN uses, but we were more than pleased with the service there. I have nothing negative to say. I cannot say anything about price since insurance covered nearly all of the expenses.

    Good Samaritan Hospital
I developed a rare condition that made me temporarily paralyzed. The initial diagnosis required me to be evaluated by a variety of physician specialists. The diagnosis was quick and the treatment started quickly, too. This fast diagnosis and treatment allowed me to walk again after about two months. The nurses in the ICU were great! Since I could not move, they did everything for me. They were a caring and compassionate group no matter if on the day or night shift.

    Palo Alto Medical Foundation
They are very well organized. It is a smooth organization. They are expensive, but we are insulated form that by insurance. Everything was done the way it was supposed to be.

    Palo Alto Medical Foundation
I recommend them very much. I have been going to them for a while. The whole atmosphere is good. All the physicians I have seen there, they all have been really good. The lab is easy to use. They are convenient. They are good.

    Palo Alto Medical Foundation
Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) is a medical group offering a variety of services at multiple locations in the Bay Area of CA. When we were new to the area, I needed a place to go for an annual exam. I found them on Angie's List. Due to a cancellation, I got an appointment promptly. The office was easy to find, wait time average (15 min.), and the staff was good. The Doctor was great, too. She spent time answering my questions. I left feeling like I received good care. There were no billing problems. I would use PAMF again, for any type of care. They have most specialties available. Also - I got my test results back in less than 48 hours, which I thought was great.
