    CANINE SHOWCASE
They charged $5 for toenails which only took a few minutes but I paid them more. They don't take credit cards. They are careful, kind and consistently do a good job. They can't use a blower to dry my dog because he doesn't like noise so they let him air dry. They are on the corner of Wolfe and El Camino but it is hard to get my minivan into and out of their parking lot so I park at Golfland's Wolfe parking lot and walk over. They are behind the ethnic market, facing away from El Camino. You have to make reservations about two weeks in advance but it is the only place I've used that doesn't injure the dog.

    CAMERON VETERINARY HOSPITAL
We've actually had a few things that they had to do. It was actually beyond their scope and they referred us to Sage for some surgery that my dog ultimately had to do. They were right. That was something necessary. They've been really good. We've had them quite a while. They're not cheap. I think they're a little pricey. They're very responsive. The usual wait time is maybe 15 minutes. The veterinarian interacted with the pet very well. They're very good. They're very convenient, I like them, they're close. When I need something done, I can count on getting in fairly quickly and the recommendation they made when my dog needed surgery was right on. The doctor who performed the surgery was their recommendation. I felt very good about those things. They treat your pet as if it was their own.

What they prescribed worked immediately and whatever the problem was, it never came back. We've been using him for 25 years and we would recommend him. We like him. He is great at diagnosing problems. It's expensive but no matter where you go, it will always be expensive.

    CANINE SHOWCASE
Great experience overall ... easy to schedule, dropped my girl off in the morning and picked her up in the afternoon looking beautifully coiffed. They understood the dog's grooming needs, recommended the approach, and she came out happy and looking and smelling great. I'll be back.

    Alpine Animal Hospital
I take my cat to Alpine Animal Hospital for all her vaccinations and check ups. Also I buy her flea prevention there. I have worked mainly with Dr. Shishido. Dr. Shishido and the staff seem genuinely enthusiastic about their work. They really seem to care about the animals and are very friendly. They take time to answer all my questions and provide further reading material on issues. I will continue to take my cat here for as long as I live in this area. It is a great place. In addition, the prices are very reasonable. The flea prevention at Alpine Animal Hospital costs less than I can get it online.

    SANTA CLARA PET HOSPITAL
Staff was courteous. The vet was patient, friendly and knowledgeable (he even had the staff clip my puppy's hair around the eyes when he noticed that it was getting too long and would irritate his eyes... something I was afraid to do myself for fear of puppy moving around too much). Everyone at the hospital was nice and made the environment welcoming for my pet. A bit pricey, but a small price to pay for quality care that puts my mind at ease.

    Klub K9 Play Center
They're convenient to where I live. They'll also board and offer grooming services. They're full service and if you ned the bordadello shot they can give you the nasal medication for that. There's one human with the dogs at all times. They also separate the dogs into three rooms based on size. They do everything by the book there and are very rule-oriented in requiring dogs wear a particular collar, etc. He's very strict with the dogs having up-to-date shots. They will remind you via paper notification with billing reminders. Reservations are required.

SPOTS THE FUN PLACE FOR PETS
They separate the dogs into three groups but at Spots it’s a small, industrial space and I felt the facility smelled a bit more than others perhaps because of the ventilation system.  If the dog is there more than three days they will give them a bath.  They have a really good groomer there.  You bring your own food there.  They’re fabulous with the dogs.  Spots is across the street for the San Jose Internation airport so it’s convenient for drop offs and pick ups.  You need to bring you dog in to be evaluated before they are allowed to stay there.

    SUNNYVALE VETERINARY CLINIC
    For 9/17/2013:

Both of my dogs were shy about going to the groomer. One was a foster dog who had undergone some very traumatic experiences and I alerted April to this, prior to the grooming. April is absolutely wonderful and made the grooming experience positive - not scary, for my dogs.

Each of my dogs got the following services included for their bath and haircuts:
    - Bath
    - Nail Trim
    - Ear cleaning/plucking
    - Anal Glands checked
    - Sanitary Shave
    - Paw Pads Shaved
    - Haircut

I requested a rainbow mohawk on one of my dogs and April was able to do this with non-toxic, temporary color, and it looked great!

I am very happy with April and I won't have my pets groomed by anyone else!
I have an upcoming appointment for my new dog, a Maltipoo, and I'm
excited to see the results after his first grooming session with April. I will update my review after that appointment.

    ----------
    Update:

My maltipoo's appointment was on 11/05/2013.u

April again did an amazing job!

Bath and Haircut which again includes the list of items above was $54 (K9 Bath and Trim for 1-20 pound dog).

I'm adding his picture to this review also.

    ELC Veterinary Clinic
The first time I went to ELC Vet was in January of 2013 when I took a dog I was fostering, in to get exam, vaccines, tested for heart worm and have her nails trimmed.
More recently, on 10/26/2013 I took a new dog I adopted, in to get an exam so that my family can bring him in any time we need to, as this place is fairly close to where we live. I ended up coming back a few days later on 10/29/2013, because I found out that my dog's most recent heart worm test (done by the foster family before I adopted him) was positive. I went back on 10/30/2013 to pick up prescription heart worm preventive.
The main PROS from each visit I have experienced at this clinic:
    - Ample Parking Available
    - Separate Entrances for Dogs/Cats
    - Facility is Clean
    - Familiar Staff
    - Staff is Kind & Efficient & Knowledgeable
    - Veterinarian is Prompt, Knowledgeable, Willing To Explain Things
    - Small Mom & Pop Business Feel - I will always support small Mom & Pop Businesses before big corporations if I am pleased with the service & I believe I am getting good value out of my money spent.
The only CON in my opinion is:
    - Paper Filing System (Takes staff longer to find records b/c they have to go locate the physical file)
I am very pleased with my experiences here and I plan on continuing to bring my pets here.
