  • I could not have asked for a more positive experience! Jose is responsive, informative, flexible, and a great person! He set our expectations and followed them or reset them, thoroughly answered all of our questions, and communicated through email, phone calls, and text. He not only put us at ease, but also helped us with a Handyman to rebuild, figuring out our 3rd party post test company, and went above and beyond in supplying HEPA Filters and spraying our son's room! I highly recommend using Jose at Green Home Solutions for your mold testing and remediation. Definitely a "cut above!"

  • The inspector came over and estimated a full day job, and told me that they would set up a corridor between the Attic entrance and the front door as a sealed working area and apply negative pressure. Because the contractor work for installing the new air duct already scheduled, there was only a few days window. He was nice to squeeze in the project for me scheduled at 12:30 even though he said it's a full day job. I decided to work from home to save some commute time on the day scheduled. To my surprise, 2 workers showed up at my front door a bit after 10am. I felt lucky to be at home. They sealed the registers and started working on the Attic without setting up a sealed corridor as I was told. When I asked, they said it's not needed for my home. It turned out that they simply taped a pipe to an air vent under the eave to pump air out. I'm not sure how effective it is with such a small air way. And they wrapped up and left at 12:30, so much of "a full day job". The second day the contractor installing the new furnace found a big piece of asbestos insulation not removed at the bottom of the old furnace.

  • Our HVAC company texted Pete at Synergy with what needed to be abated.  Nine duct register boots (8 removed), one return and one furnace plenum.  Synergy came out, did some work and left, saying they had completed the work.  During this process, they had a supposed HEPA vacuum set up in our entry way inside the house.  It was held together with masking tape.  I noticed a lot of dust coming out of the vacuum cleaner (I’m allergic and had runny eyes and a sore throat).  My wife came downstairs and felt sick to her stomach.  The vacuum cleaner should have been outside, and should have worked properly.  Who knows how much asbestos dust was spewed out into our house.  In addition, they only removed and abated 6 of the 9 register boots, and only abated the top half of the return air duct (which we were replacing), leaving the bottom still taped with asbestos.  They did not even work on the furnace plenum.  We called them back (another crew came out) to finish the work. They abated the return air duct and the plenum and removed another one or 2 of the boots.  We had to call them (a third crew) out to remove the last boot and abate the ninth one.  All 3 crews were poorly trained and lacked common sense.  In most jobs, this would be something to get irritated about, but when you are talking about potential exposure to asbestos, this is a serious problem.  Both my family and the HVAC crews were potentially exposed to asbestos dust.  I ended up complaining to Pete at Synergy.  He never returned my call. I ended up taking to someone else.  I told him that I would contact the District Attorney and file fraud charges against his company, in addition to ​filing a complaint with the Air Quality Board and the contractor’s licensing board.  I told him that I would not pay him one cent.  He said that he would forward my request to accounting, implying that I would get a refund.  However, they ended up charging my credit card without ever getting back to me.  So I called back and Pete did return my call this time.  After repeating my complaint and threats and demand for a refund, he ended up grudgingly refunding my $1400. But he never apologized.  He disagreed with my description of the problems and did not even admit that they did anything wrong.  MY HVAC crew said that this is not the first time they’ve had problems with Synergy.

  • From what I remember it went fine. It was just what we did through Angie's List.  It seemed reasonable. I rarely give anybody an A rating in the business world. They would have to be just over the top type of service so they were good at what they did. They did what they said they were going to do. They explained things. They didn't try and gouge us. There was a lot of education that went on which I really liked.

  • My pipe was cut but the contractor did not take any action in first month. Mike helped me the initial investigation, set up the emergency treatment of potential toxin mold threat, referred me the lab and pasteurization. I left the price blank because I have no idea about price but he is nice and friendly and always on time and quick responsive. He referred me to the top ranking agency in angie's list and guarantee the fine result.

  • Mike came in and asked what we were noticing.  Upon the explanation, he explained what he can do and recommended another specialist for things he knew he could not do but should be checked.  He was very thorough and walked around the outside of the house as well as the inside of the house.  He explained the areas that needed work and spotted some termite issues we had not seen.  He made recommendations to prevent mold.  He explained the mold in the bathroom around the windows was easy to fix and exactly how to fix it.  He was right on time and made sure my questions were answered.  Great job!

  • Richard is care, nice and professional. He really speed up the whole process. He came one day earlier while I told my daughter is only 4 years old and concern about the risk of mold. He also gave us lots of valuable suggestion of mold treatment. Also he pushed the lab to  process faster.

    It is really bad while you need mold service but it will be good to have some like Rich to help you.

  • PW Stephens quoted both the asbestos /duct removal and attic clean up. 
    Part 1:  Asbestos removal / duct removal.  Done in one day. team of three people.  Excellent job. Contained well.  left the house clean.  Debris contained on side of house and picked up the next day.  The team appllied pressure to my attic beams causing many areas of nails breaking through my ceiling sheet rock. Something they will not cover / fix.  
    Part 2:  two weeks later -  PW hired a subcontractor to complete the attic cleaning.  They recommended to do the work through the skip sheeting when the roof was torn off.  I had wanted them to clean up both rodent debris and the mess the roofer would make.  The subcontractor was unprofessional wasted a lot of time. Did not bring the right tools for the job and could not vacume up the debris well between the skip sheeting.  Instead they used a blower to try to blow most debris into areas where they could vacume it up.  This created a mess in my house and they ended up not doing a very good job.  I still had a lot of rodent debris in my attic.  
    Resolution.   Two weeks after their work was done - after my roof was on, I contacted PW Stephens and complained of the poor attic clean up job. They sent someone over right away who took pictures.  While I could tell that PW Stephens really didn't want to admit error, they sent a crew out for two days to thoroughly vacume my attic.  This second team did an excellent job and was very professional.  
    Other mis-coordination.  I was invoiced for the full job after the asbestos clean up even though the attic clean up had not even begun.  When I contacted the billing department, they had no idea that a subcontractor was being used for the attic clean up.  
    In general - while I feel PW Stephens ultimately did a good job, the job did not go smoothly.

  • My experience with DryForce has been a life changing experience.After a main line
    back up under my house left me a with an extremely messy situation with water and sewer damage
    heavily exposed, the plumber on site referred Dry Force to me to help with the
    water clean up and restoration process. Devastated with the mess and the hassle
    i assumed i would be facing, i was gratefully surprised to have Dry Force deal
    with all the legalities and made the over all experience professional and
    pleasant. I mainly spoke with individual named Matt Watt who was extremely
    supportive and accommodating to my needs. He explained that he would like to
    send someone out to look at my house and offer me an evaluation at no charge.
    Mr.Watt was quick to send someone out and assured me the issue would be taken
    care of in a timely manner and they would work completely around my schedule
    and needs, which they did ideally. Every individual i dealt with through Dry
    Force was well-mannered, always on time, and understanding to my particular
    situation. Being a single mother struggling to make ends meet, like most, Dry
    Force dealt directly with my insurance company to get the charges covered. Dry
    Force even went to far as to cover my deductible of $500 leaving me paying
    nothing out of pocket! I am extremely grateful to have Dry Force's help and
    would recommend them to anyone who needs water, mold, or fire restoration. It's
    companies like this that make me use Angie's list!!!

  • Water damage?  Imagine walking into your newly purchased house anticipating where you're going to put your couch and your TV only to find a waterfall in your kitchen.  Yep, it happens and it stinks.  You thought fire does a lot of damage...water is just as bad.  We had a pipe burst in our kitchen ceiling after a freeze and because we weren't living in the house at the time, water was pumped in for 10+ days reeking havoc on 4 rooms- the kitchen, the family room, the office, and a bathroom.  Central Coast Casualty Restoration to the rescue!  
    After a few days of an attempted dry out by a different company we were referred to CCCR by our insurance company.  The insurance company works directly with CCCR so that's one less thing we had to deal with at that moment.  CCCR came in within 3 days and tore all 4 rooms down to the studs, immediately planning the rebuilding process.  Given that we didn't live in the house (or even the area, we are Bay Area transplants) CCCR was great about coordinating meetings when we could get down for them, working a lot via phone, email, and fax.  We didn't do everything remotely, but Matt (our project's contractor) was a fantastic communicator often texting us pictures of the daily progress.  With a project this large (over 1200 sq. feet of damage) and our living 3 hours away, you'd think it would be hard to stay on top of the minute details, but Matt and his team were focused and determined to get us in our new house ASAP.  They were also great about referring us to other businesses in the area...sprinklers/ irrigation, good coffee shops, Farmer's Markets, housekeeping...whatever I asked for they always had someone or someplace to check out!
    We can't thank CCCR enough for their hard work and our beautiful house!  As I said to Matt, "I hope we don't have to meet like this again, but I'm so glad that we did meet!"  
    *As a side note about price...they probably aren't the cheapest, nor are they the most expensive, BUT they do excellent work!*
