    I have had Kaiser Health Plan for over 20 years. When I first joined, it was as an employee of the company. People often said to me that Kaiser was not a great health provider. I have found that not to be true. What I like about the insurance is that it is well-priced for the amount of services you receive, and coverage is comprehensive. For instance, injections are always free to members so you don't have to think twice about getting a flu shot. This insurance company focuses on integrated care (you don't have to go to various facilities to get the care, X-rays, meds, etc. -- all is under one roof) and on preventive care (in the long run this is cheaper for them and better for the patient). Since the physician group works exclusively with Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, they do not have to endure endless paperwork nor are they told how to deliver care based on costs. Physicians can work on getting the best possible care for the patient and not worry about what is and isn't covered and whether the patient will end up getting a big bill, so there is no conflict of interest with patient care and the business side. Also for me as a patient I don't have to deal with getting reimbursed and filing lots of paperwork. So I love my health insurance since I know everything is covered and exactly what I will need to pay (just the copays). Depending on your employer the amount you pay for copays will of course vary. And of course I love the aforementioned convenience of having everything integrated into one facility rather than driving all over town to get services such as lab, imaging, screening, etc.

    they seemed willing to help but i have limited options due to obamacare kicking in, since i want to keep my grandfathered plan.
    in the past Blue Shield also had rules regarding increasing deductables (like you cannot decrease it without going thru full underwriting again). seems like i am getting less coverage but paying more, but it sounds like its true with all insurance companies. they do have a nice e-letter that goes out that i read regarding getting and staying healthy. they post your claims on their website so you can see status, that seems to work well.

    The representative walked me through how to pull up the forms online. Once we were both looking at the same form, she went through each line to make sure I was clear on what I needed to mail in to United Healthcare in order to be reimbursed for the services I had received. The representative was very quick, efficient, and kind.

    They are convenient they are close. The doctors I've had, whether it be surgeon or gp or nurse with MRIs and CT scans and all that stuff they are very efficient and timely and punctual. It is handy. The facility is brand new.

    I was in a new wing so everything was fine. It was my first surgery in my life so I have nothing to compare it against or to, everything seemed to go fine. I had an aneurism and ended up having the A team work on me. It is a teaching hospital so 2 surgeons worked on me, one was the teacher and the other was the student learning to become a surgeon.

    The experience with them was very good. I came in about 9 o'clock with a broken foot. They were very good about the registration and admitting. They did a quick triage and put me in one of the cubicles in their fast-track section, which is for people that have non-life-threatening things, I guess. I was out within a little more than an hour, which I consider to be very good for an emergency room. They had x-ray technicians that came to the room with portable x-ray machines. They were friendly and efficient. I saw a Physician's Assistant, I didn't see an MD, but for what I had I didn't need to see an MD. I was not admitted, so I can't speak to the hospital itself, just to the Emergency Room. They didn't keep us waiting in the Emergency Room or in the waiting area. I consider that important because people come in who have various problems, and it is never pleasant to witness, because it is a full service Emergency Room.

    The experience at Palo Alto has always been wonderful. The facilities are great, the Doctors and all of the service personnel are caring and know their jobs. We never have to deal with claims from them, they always take care of things properly: they know the codes, they know the system. I have recommended them to several people when they've needed doctors. We have our regular doctor, but I know if I ring the clinic to see anyone of the specialists, anyone I get will be good. They seem to be able to attract the best in the area.

    It was pretty good. It was great. The ones that I have dealt with, my doctors there were very attentive to your personal needs and they listen to you. One time I went to an ear, nose and throat doctor there and he was really good. He spent time and listened to what I was saying and solved the problem. I have nothing bad to say about them.

    Dr. Brothers has been my general physician for a few years now, and I've always been impressed that not only does he take the time to listen carefully to my questions, but also has thoughtful, useful answers on the spot.  I'd also give him high marks for friendliness and approachability.  I haven't had any chronic conditions that were treated, but I've been very satisfied with all my visits.
