We had to repair a serious water damage in the house that affected the kitchen bottom cabinets. Eli and Moran were very easy to work with and had come up with a very affordable solution. We couldn't be happier. working with the insurance wasn't easy but these guys worked really hard to bring everything back together in no time, right before the holiday season. We can't thank you enough guys, thank you very much and happy halloween!!!

    SULLIVAN CONSTRUCTION
Sullivan construction did a great job of remodeling in our home. We had bids from 3 companies and Sullivan Construction gave us the bid that was the easiest to understand and best price for equal work. John is easy to work with and stays on top of the project. His crew is professional and made up of hard workers who were very professional, easy to work with and respectful of our house and property. The work was completed in a timely manner and we love our remodeled rooms. I highly recommend Sullivan Construction!

The project went very well. ?As in most remodel projects, problems developed, but we appreciated the professional manner in which they were resolved. ?Project Manager, Nathan Weizmann, is really good at explaining tasks, scheduling craftsmen, and helping to resolve issues in an efficient, but friendly manner. ?In addition, he is a really nice person who genuinely wants the customer to be satisfied. It was a pleasure to work with him.

The two new windows were to completely update the look of the front of my house. My house had a 5 foot high brick veneer wall with high set windows and a brick walled entry which while private, was completely unwelcoming.  I tore down all of the brick and the windows Jeff installed are centered on the wall and very welcoming
This construction project was extensive since other than the existing window headers, all new framing was needed. Jeff's team removed two windows high up on my wall, all wood paneling and working with a fully open framed wall they created two new window frames centered on my wall.  They did a perfect alignment job. Everything is level and centered. They insulated the wall, used plywood, wired and stucco finished the entire wall leaving a scratch coat to the measurements I specified for the future installation of stone veneer. Inside, they sheet rocked openings, and textured the wall.  They installed redwood
trim on the outside matching all trim on all of my windows, set the nails and filled the nail holes and either restuccod or applied sealant making the trim  ready for paint.
Jeff's team even took on fixing stucco work under one of my old windows left by a previous contractor.  His team was very
professional and easy to communicate with.  They arrived by 9 and worked until 5 every day. They would have started earlier, but I am a bit far from their office.  Jeff himself was very accommodating. Explained all of my options, and pulled the permit for me.
Inside, they sealed off their work area to avoid extensive dust inside my house and covered carpets. They also did a really good
job of cleaning up each day.

    Richard S White Maintenance
Initially hired Riche's service to complete and repair the fence work uncompleted by another contractor.
Among multiple contractors, Riche's has been one of the most responsive and dependable service providers.
I made another appointment to fix the dry rots on the rafters and Riche finished the job ontime/on schedule.  What I appreciate the most is that he is dependable and cleans after his work.  Very rare in my experience.

I very highly recommend Dennis Almeida. He is the real deal. It was one of the best decisions that I have made and I'm extremely happy with the work he had done. We got a quote for 4 different contractors and picked Dennis for a number of reasons. First, he really understood what we wanted and communicated extremely well. Second, his price was comparable to the other 3 guys and was very reasonable. Third his reputation on Angie's List. Dennis did a lot of work as listed above. He and crew did everything in about 2 weeks before we moved into our new home. After the work was done, we had several people remark how awesome the job was. Here's what worked very well for us:
    1. Professionalism - Dennis' professionalism stood out amongst the other contractors that we interviewed and got the quotes from. He was punctual, pleasant, and communicated well. He took our ideas down, had a computer modeling done to help us visualize, suggested some great ideas himself, and helped out with the project.
    2. Super-responsive - During the 2 weeks when Dennis was here, he was always available over email or phone. I would go to Home Depot and would have a question about the type of stuff that I need to be picking up. Within minutes he would respond back with a text or an email or a phone call. At the end of the day, he gave an update of all the work done and keep us posted.
    3. Great crew - Dennis has been working with his crew Douglas, Homer, and Angel for about 5 years. They worked hard and got the whole thing done in 2 weeks. I have heard horror stories from my friends how they had to chase down their contractors to wrap up work. Not with Dennis. He was there every single day very early in the morning, got a lot of work done during a typical day, and gave an update at the end of the day. We didn't have to check in on the home everyday. It was all magically getting done without any supervision needed on our part. Can't tell you how much we appreciated this piece of mind.
    4. Personality - It was fun to work with Dennis and he was a nice guy with a good sense of humor and a lot of patience. Being new home owners, we didn't know a lot of things and we were also going back and forth on a few things - paint color, etc. Dennis was extremely accommodating and pleasant throughout.
    5. Quality of work - It was awesome! We were so happy with the work and just sat there for a long time admiring everything when it was all done. Everyone who saw our home were impressed by the quality of work. I'll post  an update with a before and an after picture soon.
    6. Went above and beyond: My wife wanted a kitchen nook and she had some pictures from a DIY project found online. All we had to do was buy the materials and Dennis and Angel put it all together. He didn't charge us for the additional work and  I thought it was a nice gesture.
In a nutshell - if you are looking for a contractor, definitely hire Dennis. It would be one of the best decisions you would have made. He checks on everything - professionalism, cost, quality of work, responsiveness, and he was also a single source for all the work that needed to be done.

    BD Home Improvements
We wanted to cut down our beautiful 8ft desk into 2 smaller desks that would fit in our new place. It was not obvious how to do it since the desk was curved, not rectangular. Bruce explained several options and tradeoffs with us and made sure we were all in agreement before he started cutting. The result was exactly what we had in mind. In addition, he added support to ensure that the heavy monitors would not be a problem.
He agreed to look at a teak coffee table (botched repair attempt) even though this was not in the initial job request. He sanded the desk down to its natural state and gave advise for the finish.
Bruce is wonderful to do business with. He is a natural teacher and craftsman. I've got a list started for him with work that needs to be done at the new house.

    True Colors Painting
We had removed wallpaper from a few rooms in our newly purchased house and needed to have knock down put up and the walls painted.  Bill Pugh came out and gave us an estimate, and once we selected his company to do our work he put his all into making sure we made the right choices.  He recommended we texture an additional room and had it painted and are thrilled that we did.  Our initial color consult was key into our selections.  Bill made suggestions in color and accent walls and painted a substantial part of the walls so we could get the idea of what the finished product would look like.  If we didn't like an idea or color he had no problem giving us other suggestions. The work itself went as scheduled and came out fantastic!  We had him install new base boards in the rooms that were painted and once he help us in our selection and the selection of the color to paint them.  His ideas made our rooms room warm and inviting. They crew was prompt and professional and we would not hesitate to call them for future projects.

    Nor-Cal Elite Builders
Pros: Demolition went quickly, and they protected our property (tarps and temporary wood sheathing) during the rainy season. The owner, Reuben, was very friendly and good at explaining the process ? that is, when he was present and available.

    Cons:
    1. Avoidably messy demolition of a room. They somehow managed to break the glass of every old window; this baffled us, since we've had old windows removed without them shattering pieces all over the place. Now there are broken bits of glass that we?ll continue to pick out of the yard over the course of our lives at this house.

    2. Crooked installation of windows.

    3. Delays in work, being unavailable to either us or the general contractor. In the end, the general contractor hired another framing company to finish the remaining carpentry.

    4. Neglecting to install ventilation in the foundation of the new addition. This of course was against code, and when the foreman said "But we don't see vents on the design diagram," the inspector (appropriately) responded, "That does not matter; you must install those vents per state and safety code, or this foundation will not pass inspection."
