    They are good. I like them. They are local and close. He is a Boxer, so he doesn't need trimming. It is more of getting him a bath, and making sure his teeth and nails are good, that is what I really need them to do.

    He went above and beyond. The cost was astronomical, but just with answering questions. There was one time I was out of town and he took the kitten home with him. I was with my brother in law who was dying of leukemia and I was flying in and there was nobody there on Saturday and Sunday night. Someone just checks on the animal. He did not want to leave him alone and he took him home. That tells you that he is very caring.

    I took my 9 yr old cat, Sammy, into the vet's for three reasons: to check for diabetes or urinary tract infection since he was urinating more than usual, to get his rabies shot updated, and to establish him with a new vet since we had just moved to the area.
    The front office is a very small tight space and really stressed Sammy out with both dogs and cats coming and going.  Front office staff seemed business-like and efficient.  Our wait was probably 15 to 20 minutes.  Vet techs were terrific.  However, Dr. Lee was disengaged and appeared to be quite it was his first day on the job.  The shot was given and blood drawn.  When Dr. Lee "gave me the results" of the blood work, I essentially received NO results.  He hemmed and hawed about the possibility of diabetes (yeah, I know...that was why I was there) and said that to be on the safe side I should buy this very pricey food from them.  I asked, "Does he have diabetes?", to which Dr. Lee would not commit.  I asked about the possibility of the urinary tract issue and I was informed that "Oh, we didn't do any testing for that."  On that note, I left.  I followed up with another vet, paid for more blood work, and found out that Sammy is perfectly healthy with NO sign of diabetes.
    Sorry the Dr. was so bad...they were closely located and the techs and office staff were great.

    The place was small, cramped and dirty.  The front staff was self-involved with their chatting and abrupt with patients and caregivers.  The wait was long.  We were in and out, felt like we were a bother to both the vet, who was detached and grinding them out, and the staff.  We were new to the area, but decided to take our sizable vet bills (we have 3 dogs and 2 old cats) to another place.  Everything about this place was mediocre at best aside from a close location.

    We chose them because of the location. It's not easy to get those kind of services. The traffic patterns are so bad that they have a very good location. I like the way they treat my dogs. They like animals. Overall, they're excellent. The price is within the normal range. They're very responsive. They're very professional.

    Most of our dogs come from shelters and they have had a wide range of health issues. Dr. Zimmer and his staff have helped us manage diabetes, auto-immune issues, heart disease, severe anxiety, skin issues, joint disease. You name it, we've probably brought home a dog that had it! And because we keep adopting dogs with "issues", we are REALLY grateful to have a veterinarian like Dr. Zimmer. He and his staff understand how important our animals are to us. He never pushes us to try anything unreasonable. He listens to our concerns and patiently answers all of our questions. He offers us a variety of options and he NEVER starts with the most expensive or invasive treatments.  He helps our animals have the best quality of life available to them. For instance, we have a dog with arthritis and noticed that Dr. Zimmer offered cold laser treatments. The treatments are really inexpensive and absolutely painless. So, we asked if we should give them a try and Dr. Zimmer said, "Ok, let's try a few treatments and see how she responds." The treatments made such a difference for our dog that she was actually able to jump up on our furniture, something she hadn't been able to do for YEARS. Her walk improved. It was amazing. And it's not invasive, painful or expensive. Those are the kinds of success stories we've had since taking our pets to Dr. Zimmer.  And on those occasions when there are no good answers, we really feel as though he's done all the research necessary to help us make tough decisions. He's a terrific person and a great Vet. We wouldn't take our animals anywhere else.

    This story starts with my groomer informing us that our Cocker Spaniel was in need of dental cleaning. We had heard of Dr. Butchko and was recommend to them but that was over 20 years ago when we use to live in that area. We called around and asked for estimates and there office was the least amount to see her on a Saturday.
    Dr. Runion was assigned our case and at first seemed  to be a caring and knowledgeable vet 
    His recommendation was a deep cleaning and extraction of teeth as necessary.He provided a quote and advised we needed to have her on antibiotics before the procedure for a week. 
    We left and proceeded with the instructions and returned in one week to have her dental work. After the work was done I was shocked to find out that he had remove 14 teeth. I was instructed to follow up in two weeks to have her stitches removed.
    I returned in two weeks and instead of the Vet they assigned it to one of the assistances that works in the office. She removed the stitches and sent us on our way without any additional information.
    Two weeks pass and or dog is now lethargic and not eating like she was. (we were told to feed her soft can food which we did.) Then the day of rushing her back down to the Vets, she developed a fever and slobber that was thick and ropy. 
    We even brought our other dog to be seen by there office thinking all is good.
    Dr. Runion comes and in and states that he will have to remove all of her remaining teeth to fix the problem. He does not offer a reason as to why and is offering free services since she had just been there and spent almost $800 dollars. I asked why do we need to remove the rest of her teeth since they look okay. He did not state the true reason and simply was saying they were bad too. Really, they were ok two weeks ago and now lets take all her teeth out. I asked about a Vet that specializes in dental and he refer us to two highly over priced Vets in SO Ca. My wife and I decided we no longer had confidence in his abilities and decided to leave and seek a second opinion.
    We left and drove to Menifee to seek out a second opinion. Boy are we glad we did. We found Dr. Card and she looked at Roxy and explained in detail what was going on. Roxy had an infection and was allergic to the dissolvable sutures. She treated Roxy and removed the items and placed her on another round of antibiotics. NO more teeth were removed and she now feels and acts just like before this ordeal.
    Dr. Runion in my opinion did not perform to expectations and was trying to gain additional billing  instead of finding the issue and placing a corrective course of action.
    If I learned anything it is the fact that you still get what you pay for and this time I paid through my nose to find out he does not practice to the highest standards.

    We believed our dog had injured his foot. I called Mountain View and they could see me within an hour and a half. They were courteous, kind and respectful. They explained everything they were doing as they went along. The pricing seemed reasonable to me. Our dog did not have an injury so they proceeded to give him a thorough check up.
    We used to go to this Vet 30 years ago when we lived in the area. We moved away and came back. We tried another Vet but were dissatisfied. We are back with Mountain View and happy to see that they provide the same excellent care that they gave my other animals so many years ago.

    I want to do everything I can for my dog, but that $90 short visit hurt my budget. Did I get my monies worth, I guess I did. My dog is important to me. I think they make a lot of money on the meds, am I wrong? My dog seemed to respond to the pills and was better by the next morning. I am to give her one pill every 12 hours. After 5 days I was a little late getting the one pill to her one evening and I noticed she was all stiff up again like her neck was hurting her, and she didn't want to move her head, even to eat. I had to encourage her to eat since her pills were in the wet food in the bowl. She finally ate, and seemed better again. I am not sure this is going to be a permanent fix if she acted like the same hurt doggie when I was late getting a pill in her.

    My neck hurts too from arthritis and I can hardly turn my head, but I don't yelp and cry out - lol. Again, I'm not sure this will be a permanent fix. I hope so, but what happens when I run out of muscle relaxers for her? At least I know what symptoms to look for if she stiffens up again, I'll know it is her neck The vet was very nice and explained everything to me clearly.

    I tried to call their phone number for office hours today. What I got was a answering machine with someone talking way too fast for me to write down their specific days and hours. I called three times, and still didn't get it. The important information should be repeated and someone should speak slowly and clearly, not fast. Young people speak fast, that's a fact. But us older folks can't get it all. I recommend they re-record that answering machine message speaking slowly and clearly, and repeat the days and hours. Especially since it is not M-F like a lot of vet days.

    Excellent. Administered anesthesia and removed 3teeth, monitored cat throughout the day. Instructions on overnight care, and follow up exam. We have used Doctors Pet clinic for 7 years for 6 cats. They are caring and professional.
