I was online looking for laser companies because I was so tired of being hairy :(
I stumbled upon a few different places but they had a really great deal 50% off for new or returning clients and I had to take it. Also, on your 2nd 3rd and 4th they give great discounts too which is valid until the end of this month.
I went in and everyone was very very nice, they had me sign paper work and I sat for a few minutes before being called in. My nurse, can't remember her name went over everything with me. The doctor wasn't in but we had to facetime him which was so cool. He asked me a few questions about my medical backround and I was set to go.
I lasered my legs, arms and lower back and it was honestly so painless. I've done laser hair removal before but it has never been as pain free as with their machine. I will be returning many times until I am hair free.

Vadmal gouged a bump that was right on the side of my nose where my glasses rest.  This is after I told him that I was going to be shooting a scene in front of a camera within the next three weeks.  He assured me that I would have no scar and that the wound would heal in time.  It did not.  Not only did it not heal but it looked awful.  Vadmal ended up having to put stitches on the wound which looked very bad and because of the location were very visible.
He had me come in repeated times to merely look at the scar.  Each visit cost me a co-pay and all he did was, after having me wait in the room for a long time, was rush in, glance at my face, say it looked good (!?!?!?!) and then tell me to come back in two or three weeks.  Midway through this nonsense one of the nurses? came in to have me sign a waiver absolving Vadmal of any responsibility.  This was the second waiver I was told to sign and it made me very uncomfortable.
I was stuck in this loop and thought that maybe I was overreacting.  I hoped eventually I would be happy with the results and that there truly would be no scar as Vadmal promised.  To this day there is a slight indent where he gouged out my skin.  He said he needed to biopsy the cyst but I had several other cysts in more discreet places on my face that he could have cut.  On my last visit to him he pulled out a catalog of very expensive facial serums and creams that his office was selling and proceeded to encourage me to buy them.   I could not get out of there fast enough.  I would highly NOT recommend this office.  I have had one similar treatment preformed elsewhere and it only took two office visits.  My husband also had cysts removed, also from someone else, and it took him only one office visit.  Vadmal had me come in over a period of several months. And I feel that it was because he was trying to fix his mistake.  It would have been nice if he had at least waived the copay.  Very bad experience all the way around.

He looked at my mouth and told me that I needed to see a specialist and recommended one. I really appreciated his honest evaluation and he did not rush through the appointment as some physicians do.

He is very knowledgeable. He is nice and everything is good about him. He has a great bedside manner. He does not over prescribe, which some of the visiting physician in a dermatology suite have been doing. He is very straightforward. He is not trying to push a bunch of extra crap. At my age your dermatologist will try to sell you all kinds of stuff, he is very straightforward and he does what needs to be done without overselling you. So, I just thought he was really cool. He really helped my teenage son. They get me in and out of there, and everything is awesome.

At first, I was not going to see Dr. Kay because, some internet reviews said he was standoffish and too formal. I decided to give him a try because my wife had gone to him and she liked him. I found him to be quite pleasant and very informative about my options to deal with this scalp condition (possibly Seborrhoeic dermatitis). My wait time was, maybe, ten minutes, which is acceptable. His office is located in the medical building across the street from St. Joseph's Medical Center and is very convenient.
Essentially, Dr. Kay prescribed the same topical that the previous doctor had prescribed, only he suggested that I use it twice a week, indefinitely, instead of the twice a day for two weeks suggested by the former Dermatologist. this resulted in a 80-90 per cent improvement, which I could live with, rather than trying another solution. While I was there, I talked to him about other, unrelated issues and he was quite informative. I will go back to him the next time I need a dermatologist.

I was quite suprised by how little waiting I did in his office. I walked in the door a few minutes before my scheduled time and they took me into an examining room, almost, immediately. I did not even have to fill out a bunch of paperwork, even though it was my first time there. At first, i thought, okay, I'm just going to wait in an examining room instead of the lobby. That did not happen. Dr. Tabor appeared right away. He is an older gentleman, but, quite personable and easy to talk to.
After examining my scalp, he seemed to know exactly what the problem was and gave me a prescription for a topical to use on my scalp. After, about, two weeks, the condition disappeared. Unfortunately, after I stopped using the topical (the prescription ran out), the condition came back.

The coupon came at just the right time.  The coupon promised 'back to work in 2 days and back to the gym in 2 weeks.  I was told the procedure was non invasive, non surgical, and non painful at my consultation.  I warned the doctor that due to my recent 3 major surgeries (a fusion in C-6/7, a rebuilt right elbow and a reattached left bicep) that my pain receptors were fried and had not had a chance to recover..  i also told Dr. Sam Assassa that due to a bleeding ulcer I'd had in 2004, that I could not take any anti-inflammatories.  Dr. Assassa said, don't worry about a thing, you are a great candidate for the Smartlipo procedure, and i teach internationally and all over the country.  All of the doctors learn the smartlipo from me.  Sam assassa MD was beguiling. charming, charismatic and amazingly confident as he told me that if I bought the Smartlipo procedure, that the *harvested fat could be used for facial fillers for up to a year if kept in my freezer.  I made a surgical appointment, paid half the fee of $2500 on my Amex card and left.  I started having nightmares about the procedure (which is very unusual for me) so I went back for a second consultation.  i shared the nightmares I was having with Dr. Sam Assassa and he laughed so hard you'd think I should tell nightmare stories for a living.  He said, no worries, no worries!  You will do great!  So, I paid the remaining $2500 on my Amex. The day of surgery, Dr. Assassa had no charisma, had no charm, and had no patience.  I'd had a tranquilizer an hour before arriving as instructed, and I was led into a small room by an angry woman who spoke very little English.  Her name was Ulana.  She showed me a paper and asked me if the procedures marked were the ones I purchased (Smartlipo abs, love handles and hips) I took a pencil and etched in the word FULL in front of abs because there are upper and lower abs on their menu.  When I did this, Ulana started telling me in broken English; "Don't do my job for me!  I know my job, don't tell me how to do my job!"I was stunned.  After I was given a surgical thong to wear for the procedure and kept my bra on. Ulana left, Dr. Assassa came in with his camera  & demanded I take off my bra.  I was .very uncomfortable and told him I'd rather not.  He said in his broken English; "Stop being such a prude, take it off."  I'd had a tranquiler and was told by Ulana that if I opted out of the surgery that day that I would forfeit my $5000 so I just did my best to get through it and removed my bra while Dr. Assassa took more than 20 photos of me and my bare breasts.  He left the room and Ulana came back in.  She immediately said; "Why you such a Veerdo, why you haff hengups about your naked boady?"  I couldn't believe it.  I was then led by Ulana to the surgical room which was a small and unsterile exam room where I had first seen Dr. Assassa for the mark ups on my problem areas to see if I would be a good case for him.  I no sooner sat myself on the small exam table covered in a paper than Dr. Assassa started stabbing me with his steel canula without numbing me first.  I felt his canula go deep into my abdomen to separate the fat from muscle.  i screamed and told him he didn't tell me that it would hurt like that and he shouted to stop complaining!  He kept stabbing me a total of 10 times with the canula.  I was pleading with him to give me pain pills, and when he jabbed me in my ;left hip bone multiple times, i asked for an ambulance.  Ulana just slapped a laughing gas mask over my nose and mouth to keep me quiet.  I was fading in and out of consciousness due to the extreme pain and it was finally over.  My husband said that when I was brought out of the small surgical room that I was shaking violently and looked as traumatized and in shock as a person who just stepped off a lifeboat from The Titanic.  Since I had just gone through such a horrible experience, I wanted to get something for my pain, so I asked for the harvested fat as I was told I would get.  Dr. Assassa's face went white and he snapped; "WHY DO YOU WANT THAT?!"  I told him he promised it to me.  Ulana took a while before getting it and I now have 2 viles of something in my freezer.I was given a zip lock bag of antibiotics and a zip lock bag of diuretics to take home with em.  i asked for the pain meds prescription and Dr. Assassa walked away and left for a dinner date before I was stabilized. I received no pain medication.  Long story short, each time I asked for pain meds, Dr. Assassa told me to take Advil, while knowing full well I can not take Advil. I wrote an email 8 days later at 4:13 AM telling him I was up crying all night in pain from the surgery and that i needed him to call something I could take to my pharmacy.  He wrote back the next morning telling me to take Advil.  Then I called him pleased with him for 25 minutes while in extreme pain if he would please call a prescription for pain in to my pharmacy, he finally said that he would call in Vicodin which I could take with my medical history.  When my husband went to pick the medication up, we found that Dr. Assassa had called in Vicoprophin for me, which is an anti-inflammatory,  instead of Vicodin.  This felt like a cruel joke to me so i fired him..  After I did, I learned that he didn't use the skin tightening laser on me at all and did not do the Smartlipo procedure on me that I had paid for and signed informed consent papers for,...even my surgical appointment card said SmartLipo on it.  Not only was I treated so inhumanely I could not believe it and I am surprised I survived it,  it was a case of bait and switch on top of that!  I paid for Smartlipo and received something called EZlipo. To add insult to injury, when I went to 3 different Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeons, they nearly fell out of their chairs when I told them that Dr. Assassa told me the harvested fat in my freezer would be good for up to a year.  Each one told me that harvested fat must be used the same day in the same procedure to be viable, and that once frozen, it was unusable.  There is so much more I could say about this....and I have written too much as it is.  One thing I will share is that I reported dr. Assassa to the medical board, the Attorney General, and the Consumer Protection office in Los Angeles. I tried to get a refund, and that is still pending.  i did not get what I paid for at all.  My stomach is deformed now, and is easier to live with than the constant blow torch feeling I have in my torso that I am getting very painful procedures to alleviate.  So far, nothing has worked. . My life was changed by Dr. Assassa, just not in the way I had hoped.

The office is run very efficiently and the staff is very nice.  Dr. Kandel is incredibly nice, outgoing and knowledgeable.  Unlike many other dermatologists, she doesn't try to sell services or products even though her office offers them.

The practitioner won my support when she asked if I wanted some optional items taken care of or removed. She didn't just go ahead and do things to bill me like others have done, and she was very straight forward and honest, unlike my experience with another dermo in the valley. I liked her. And she didnt try to sell me any of their own creams and unguents. Hurray!
