    Retina Vitreous Assoc Med Grp
Saw Dr. Novack, who came highly recommended.  He was very personable, spent time with me, explained things well.  You could tell he cared about his patients.  There are multiple doctors in this practice, so I can't speak to the others.  But Novack was great.
BUT they really overbook, and I was told by others who were waiting that this was pretty typical.  I waited 3 Hours!  If it was a fluke, then fine, but I was certainly led to believe this happens all the time.  I hear getting the earliest morning appointment are the only way to go, so keep that in mind.

    A Center for Visioncare
I have been going to this office since the late fifties or early sixties. The doctor who opened the practice was my next door neighbor, and he treated not only my family but many others in my neighborhood. His name was Jack Fields, MD, and he was not only an exceptional eye doctor and surgeon, but had a brilliant and witty mind. He made his office a fun place to go as he always had a great new joke to tell. After he retired in the mid-eighties, he turned over the practice to Dr. Alan Mandelberg, who has since enlarged and improved the physical surroundings and hired several other extremely competent and friendly doctors who have different specialties within the eye care sphere. Dr. Mandelberg not only accomplished this changeover without inconveniencing his patients, but he has managed to maintain the original warm and friendly atmosphere established by founder Dr. Fields. Dr. Mandelberg himself is a well-respected, brilliant physician with a warm and engaging personality. Going to A Center for VisionCare is a pleasant and comfortable experience all the way around. The entire staff is highly competent, well-trained and personable. There is adequate parking in the rear and a pharmacy in the same building.

    Berg Feinfield TLC Vision Correction
We were getting ready to go out of town on vacation when my husband starting having eye problems. I explained this to the receptionist, and she said she would talk to Dr. Feinfeld and call me back. She called back within an hour with an appointment for three days later. Dr. Feinfeld saw my husband right away when he came in for the appointment, and had a him out the door with a treatment plan within half an hour. Dr. Feinfeld was very pleasant, friendly, and professional. He is a great doctor and I would highly recommend him.
We have been using Berg Feinfeld Vision Care for several years for my husband's eye care. I have always had a great experience there. The receptionists are friendly and efficient. Dr. Felestian has been doing his eye exams for the last five years, and she is wonderful. She has recommended a new type of contact lens for him to wear, which was much more comfortable and better for his eyes. I would recommend this clinic for any eye care needs.

    Valley Eye Center Surgical-Med
    Not well.

Immediately following the surgery and for the next several weeks, my eye with the implanted lens was completely blurred. .Before the surgery. I was verbally assured that a multifocal lens would mean that I would almost certainly not have to wear glasses in the future for any distance. My eyeglasses at the time of the surgery did not have traditional frames. The ear pieces were connected directly to the lenses. Since I had next to no vision in either eye without my glasses, I was very concerned about my ability to see from both eyes following the surgery. When I expressed my concern, I was told not to worry, they would take care of me.
Following the surgery, I was virtually blind without some form of correction. When I tried my glasses, I found that I could see out of the noninvolved eye, but there was no help for the blurriness in the innolved eye. I covered that lens of my glasses with a dark material in order to have some vision. At an immediate follow-up visit with the doctor, I asked specifically if that would cause any problems, and was assured that it would not. He just said to give it some time and come back in a week.
After contacting my primary care physician, I made an appointment with another opthamologist. My last appointment at Valley Eye Center (WHICH TOOK THREE AND ONE HALF HOURS WITH ONLY ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES OF THAT TIME IN TESTING, AND/OR WITH THE DOCTOR or STAFF) was a little more than two weeks after the surgery. My vision was still blurred. AT that visit, the staff wanted to set up a future appointment for me to take more tests to establish what the next step should be. Not happening.
My new opthamologist explained to me thart a multi-focal lens did not have the success rate of a monofocal lens. The specific lens implanted required an adjustment period of weeks to months (I did not know until that time that there was more than one multifocal lens available). Did I mention that the multifocal lens cost $2,800.00 more than the monofocal lens, which is not covered by medicare or private insurance plans. He said that the covering on the lens of my glasses was interring with the adjustment of the eye to the implant. He also stated that the long adjusment period was just one of the reasons he personally did not use that particular lens.
A member of his staff fitted me with a contact lens for my noninvolved eye at the same office visit. Even with a complete work-up and all the tests, the viist lasted only a little more than an hour. Within a few days, my eye began to adjust and my distance vison improved. After weeks, my distance vision improved significantly. My close-up and intermediate vision remain blurry to this day. This is the same result that I would have most certainly gotten from the implantation of the monofocal lens (did I mention the extra $2,800.00 for the multifocal lens?). So- I now have a contact lens for one eye, reading glasses for near vision and another set of reading glasses to use the computer. I still need to have catarac surgery in the other eye. Guess who will do the new surgery?
Unless you are prepared to spend long amounts of time in the waiting room, and leave with skimpy and incomplete information, this is not the place for you.
It is certainly not the place for me.

    A Center for Visioncare
They took me on time. They seem to do a thorough job. It's a big operation so you see the technician who does most of the check on your eyes and then you see the ophthalmologist for a short time, but that is sort of what you'd expect I guess. Generally I would say it's a satisfactory experience the only critical thing I'd say about it is that I was told that when I signed up told that the person was covered by my insurance on my PPO plan and it'd just be a co pay. I ended up getting a bill and apparently they weren't covered by my insurance. I was disappointed in that. Some people say that is more of an insurance issue and you supposed to check with your insurance , but I don't think they should be telling me that a particular doctor is covered by that particular insurance PPO plan if they are not.

    Novack, Dr. Roger L.
He is excellent, very good. I had a detached retina so he and one of his partners performed a surgery on me. I am now able to see with that eye, not 100 percent but close. I was in a risk of loosing complete eye sight, if not eyes so I am very thankful to them. They have done an excellent job.

    Reingold, Dr. Warren J
I had first seen him on a Saturday when the doctor that I had gone to once was not available. Dr. Reingold is very personable and very qualified. He is a surgeon as well. The office staff is very nice and the environment is bright and cheery. We can even pick and choose eye glasses in the same office.
