  • Excel Construction sent to our house Eyal who came over and set with us for a while in order to understand what we would like to have in the remodeling project at our house. Our remodeling project was to remodel the kitchen, family & Dining room areas including new coat of paint and few other tasks. After he understood what we wanted to do, he designed a simple draft so we will understand how and where he think to relocate some parts of the kitchen and after we approved it, he then went back to his office and designed a detailed computerized 3D. After the design and the price was approved by us, he then came over with his workers to do the remodeling job. Each one of the workers was polite & flexible. After the work was completely finished, Eyal sent back his workers to replace or fix some things that we had issues with. Our house was left clean during the entire remodeling. We received so many of great comments on our new remodeling and on our house in general. Thank you Eyal for the great work you did for us and for the awesome service!

  • John Carrol is the owner of this family run business and a more knowledgeable, honest and meticulous guy you will never find. All the other bids I got were lower because they were just going to sand the wood and repaint which seemed to need to be done every few years. John showed me why. The wood had dry rot and in one part off the balcony you could literally put your foot through it if not careful. He replaced the wood which needed to be replaced, Too photos of the parts of the roof I couldn’t see so I was able to understand the problems. He cared enough to offer to come back out in a few months and make sure everything was holding up the way it should be. Is this company the cheapest? No. Will they do the job right the first time so it lasts? They sure will!

  • John came out and gave me the quote. He was very reassuring that my damage would be taken care of quickly. His price was GREAT. I didn't need to call other places. Plus I love the Bora-Care treatment which didn't require that we tent the house. So we stayed there safely with our dogs in the house while repairs and treatments were done. The crew (Jarrett, Jacob and Fausto) came on time and were professional and did everything that was stated. They were polite and helpful. I am very happy with their work. The treatment involves making tiny holes in the stucco. Since I am planning to re-stucco, they only needed to fill the holes. But if I needed it they would have finished by painting to match so the work would be transparent. I am very happy and this was all resolved faster, easier and cheaper than I expected. If you need termite repairs and treatment, these are the people to call!

  • This company is Prime Home Remodeling dba as Sky Renovation and New Construction. Don't be fooled by the smiles and assuming good customer the end, you will find out that this company; Owner Ian Levy, is rude with bully tendencies. They DO NOT provide a worksite foreman and only partially manage the work being done. I had to act as the foreman of my own project at almost $100,000....WHY!!! For that money, he should have had a site foreman daily and attention to the quality of the work being done. Instead every day I came home from work, sometimes during the day, I had to have mistakes and poor workmanship corrected. His workers smoke and throw cigarette butts around the property and often shortcut details. Make sure to take pictures of everything and every part of your project before you let them start any work because when you find something wrong, broken or unfinished your response will be, "Not my problem", "What do you want me to do", "it will cost you more money", "it was that way already". First Red Flag that I ignored because Ian came across as trustworthy was he offered a bid for the interior project solely based on what I wanted to be done and his visual oversight without inspection. He never looked at the existing wiring, only looked at the roof from the ground, didn't check subfloor conditions, didn't check for potential issues and only waited to find them before complaining about the extra cost to him to fix. Demanded final payment with threats of liens and lawyers before even checking to ensure the permits were finalized by the city. So if you want smiles, lies and unskilled workers that you could find at Home Depot working on your property, go ahead and hire them. I'm still scared my roof could come crashing down, the house to catch fire from the wiring work they did and now my central air heater has a disconnected air tube I have to have someone come and fix. I have exposed nails now rusted hanging down below the eaves around the garage and house from the roofing job which Ian told me, "What do you want me to do", "Stop being cheap and fix your house and cover the eaves". Now I have lots of headaches to deal with to make the repairs due to poor workmanship. The sub-contracted roof installers damaged the attic insulation following the roof demolish; now which has to be completely replaced along with central heating ducts that were damaged. Waiting for State Contractors Board to finish their assessment of my complaint and the BBB shows an "F" rating for Sky Renovation & New Construction. Also waiting for their Bond company to finish their investigation into my claim for damages as documented in photos, text messages, emails, and contracts. Complete nightmare. Following this review post the company owner EYAL IAN LEVI sent me several insulting and harassing text messages....Also following this review: He sent his business partner; Tomas to my home to comfort me about my reviews and how it was costing them business attempting to get me to remove them.

  • Fantastic and thorough job, beautiful outcome!! John, the owner/contractor of Brush, Roll & Beyond first sold us with his highly detailed assessment of the services necessary to paint our sprawling ranch home, which had a myriad of deferred maintenance issues. Although we had several estimates, he was the only person who walked the entire property, carefully looking at every detail such as dry rot, termite damage, loose window glazing, broken gutters, etc., and explaining the issues which caused our severe dry rot in the first place. He spent at least an hour (or more) during his free estimate checking out every nook and cranny of the outside of our home, including going up on the roof to assess issues out of sight and explaining what would need to be done just to prep the home properly for painting. No one else we called (including Angie's List service people) took that kind of time with that level of detail to determine the scope of work, leading us to believe that we could be charged extra for items discovered after their initial estimates. John's hand-written estimate took a bit longer than the others, but spelled out all the details and time frame necessary, even itemizing certain extras we were considering such as painting our iron fence and front doors, so we could include them if we chose during the process. It was important to us that the work not be subcontracted, and John's team has been with him for many, many years, (some more than 20) which was another huge plus. Once we agreed to move forward, the work began right away. Our job was a large one, taking close to a month to complete due to the amount of prep necessary. The team arrived on time, every morning like clockwork, even on Saturdays! If they were early, they respectfully sat in their truck out front being careful to not bother us until it was time to work. They were friendly and kind (even when my young son who is on the autism spectrum was yelling at them to stop touching our house!) and very clean, always leaving the work area tidy for the next day. John himself was on site every day, checking the work and answering questions. He also was available by phone or text anytime, which was great as I have experienced the MIA contractor on more than one occasion. We weren't sure about the colors we wanted and John worked with us, tweaking my original choices, offering suggestions and allowing us to sample several combinations over a period of days to find just the right colors for our home's unique style. When we decided to paint our rusty, faded and chipped wrought iron fence, John suggested we go with a gloss black. I wasn't sure if I would like it but decided to trust him and WOW, did it make a huge difference, making it look brand new and sophisticated, elevating the look of the whole property. They even painted all 6 of our exterior porch lights and freestanding mailbox to match at no additional cost! Ultimately, the house turned out beautiful, looking much cleaner, fresher and more modern, with respect for its traditional style roots. Our paint/repair job wasn't cheap, but fairly priced for the amount of work, and in an area of multi-million dollar homes, well worth it! The work was high quality and significantly improved our home's value. We have received several compliments from neighbors. We will definitely be calling John at Brush Roll & Beyond for more home improvements in the future!

  • When initially bidding for the job, I met with several contractors through Angie's List and recommendations from friends. The range of the bids was quite vast. Some felt like they underbid while others were clearly padding the costs with unnecessary work or materials. Tony from Nexxus came out to give me an estimate, and the pricing fell right down the middle of the other bids which gave me the indication that Nexxus' price was probably the closest to the actual cost of the job. The price and Tony's commitment to getting the job done to my satisfaction made me realize that he wasn't going to play any games and Nexxus was the right company to go with. Tony and his team - led by Abraham - did an amazing job. There were no surprises or hidden costs throughout the repairs. Tony was in regular communication with me about the progress. There were a couple additional spots that I realized needed repair after work began and I even changed the paint color on my deck after they started painting, but Tony and Abraham addressed all the issues promptly at no additional charge and provided excellent guidance throughout. I stayed in the house during construction, and the Nexxus team was extremely professional and considerate. After some final touch ups, the work on my house is complete, and I wholeheartedly recommend Nexxus.

  • Daniel responded promptly and professionally, arrived promptly, completed the assessment and gave an estimate that was considerably under what another company gave me. This was not the reason for my choice; Daniel simply came across as knowledgeable, careful and invested in the quality of his work. The work was scheduled at our convenience; the workers were clearly experienced; they were supervised throughout by a manager and Daniel himself. The work that another company said would take 2 days was completed is less than one. It looks fantastic.
  • The list of things we did to our home is really endless. I saw a coupon deal on Angie's List a while ago for $4,999 for custom granite counter tops up to a certain size from this company, so I called, made my appointment with a nice lady on the phone, and after meeting with David, I was happy with the company. They had great reviews online so I signed with them that day.
I basically gutted out my entire kitchen to remodel it with Hi-Tech, added an extra bedroom (including all my permits and blueprints), had all the carpet ripped up and replaced with recycled hardwood flooring, completely remodeled our master bathroom with marble counter tops and new tile flooring, a new custom entertainment center in the living room with a built in sound system, LED lighting throughout, new doors, I mean we did it ALL!
What I really liked about the company is that they did everything they promised. If something went wrong, they were quick to fix it. We had Krisitina calling us every day to let us know what was going on. David was around to check on the progress and he had an assistant named Dave who also was very attentive to our projects. The thing I was impressed with most at the end of the day was how nice our bedroom addition turned out. It matches the rest of our home, they matched the ceiling level perfectly, and they did a very professional job on all the finishes.
    Highly recommend.

  • Jeff from JDO Construction, who was referred to me by the termite service, came promptly to provide me with an estimate to repair the damaged wood.  He had to replace large posts that supported the roof over our entryway porch, replace trim in the front and back of house, replace large damaged supporting post wraps, replace window sills, repair drywall in the garage, repair other boards with "Bondo" so they would look new again, and treat new wood with "Boron" to prevent further water damage.
He and his assistant, Mario, are both very pleasant. They spent three days in the heat working very hard, and did an excellent job.  The termite service spoke very highly of JDO Construction, and said that we should use JDO if we want the work done properly.  They were right, as we are very pleased with their work.

  • On the gate, they replaced three wood panels and touched up the rest. They repainted the whole gate to get a good match. The top of the gate is curved and they didn't quite match the curvature. On the second-story work they sanded down, repaired some sun-damaged wood with filler, sanded again, and repainted. They had to borrow a ladder and broom. I had a fair amount of trash to clean up. They probably could have gotten an A on quality if they had asked me to review their work before they left like they promised, but they left without saying "bye".
