    Scott really saved the day! I rolled my left rear window down by accident and it failed to roll back up. I called Scott and he encouraged me to do the least expensive repair that would suit my needs. He could fix the window, so it just stayed up permanently or he would need to order a part and he could make the window roll up and down again. I told him I���d like the window to roll up and down again. He said he would come out right away and get the window up for me while waiting for the part to arrive. Then, he would come out the next day and finish the repair. He did NOT charge any extra to come out twice. Scott came out lightning-FAST. He was in my driveway about half an hour after I called him. He had the window up and secured very quickly, so no rain could get in my car and cats or other animals wouldn���t crawl in overnight. He returned the next day exactly when he said he would. He fixed the window, so it rolls up and down again, just as it should. He did not charge extra to come out twice. He was FAST, efficient, and effective in the repair. I would absolutely call him again.

    I was given an ultimatum of time and place for the PICK-UP of my car. The driver a Mr Wen from United Auto Trans either did not speak english or was not particularly literate, so, there was no conversation about location or time. When I told him neither time or location would work, he suggested I "get freind" for the pickup. Being new to the town I made it clear I had no such "friend" in town particularly one who could wait in the street for the 3 hour window given to me. The car was so dirty I couldn't even begin to check for damage(Luckily after a wash it was clear there was not). I am not a man who likes being given ultimatums particularly when I purchase an item or service this expensive

    I am not happy with that at all. Their presentation and honesty about the insurance. The paperwork about the insurance. The clear cut of what they cover, and what they don't cover is missing. They didn't give me any proper paperwork, They sell you insurance, and just give you a brush on top. They don't tell you what is cover. Oh, your key is lost, you can get it replaced. They didn't tell you it cost two hundred dollar to replace the key. You pay thousand of dollars, and you have to pay two hundred dollars. I could have paid that, and not pay for the insurance.

    They were punctual. They were good. Too busy and crowded. The waiting was fine. They are too busy to see you. They can't go by and take a look at something. Too much scheduling. Not there to take a look, and trouble shooting. You have to make an schedule, and make a big issue out of it. Even for a little windshield wiper, you have to make an appointment. Its a big pain.

    We go there because we have warranties on our cars. The car still works, I didn't notice anything wrong with the car afterwards. They're very responsive. They wanted to change something and they called first, right away. They got the work on the car done before they said they'd get it done. They usually do. They're very professional. The warranty keeps us going back.

    I had to take it back like four times to have it done right. Ultimately they corrected the issue but it took a while to get it right. They reacted when I would call them. When they replaced it there was two pieces of molding around the windshield that needed to be replaced and every time they did it they weren't installed properly. So, it would buzz and make noise when I would drive and so the wind would get in there. I had them come to my house to perform the service three times and then in order to get it fixed properly I had to go to them to have it done right. The first two or three installs that weren't done properly were done with their mobile guys that came out to my house to do.

    The guys from this shop were wonderful very nice and helpful. They changed my oil and also replaced a bulb from one of the headlights. The pricing wasn't bad and the job was done quickly nothing to complain about thank you Funk Brothers.

    I'm so thankful to Angie's list for leading me to Ali's Olive Auto Center, as I can't recommend them highly enough. I have a 2003 BMW 330Ci convertible -- an older car, but in good shape with only 50,000 miles on it. I was recently out of town for three weeks, and when I started the car upon my return, the SERVICE ENGINE light came on and there was a smell of burning oil. I've always had my car serviced at the dealer (Center BMW in Universal City), even though Dealer service is traditionally more expensive than an off-lot mechanic. But I had never found a mechanic I felt I could trust, so I took my car into the dealer, as usual. Aside from the engine issues, my driver-side window was making a "clunking" noise when I opened or closed it.
    The next day, after the BMW service dept. did their diagnosis, I was given a list of things that needed to be done, which included those repairs listed above in "Work Description." The shock was the price: $756 to replace the oil filter housing? $763 for the drive shaft coupler? $842 for the front control arm bushings? $1,383 to replace 6 ignition coils and spark plugs? Even the three fluid replacements (brake, steering and coolant) cost $240 each . It went on from there. Additionally, they told me I needed a new battery for $502(!) even though my battery was giving me no problems. And to fix the clunking noise in the door window would need replacement of a window regulator for $1,000. Their total estimate: $6,632. I considered just garaging the car until I could sell it as-is -- OR get another estimate.
    I decided it was time to get serious about finding a mechanic, and the reviews on Angie's list led me to Ali's Olive Auto. I called and spoke with Bobby, who was very responsive, took the time to hear me out, and told me to bring in the car at my convenience. I liked the vibe of the place right away. Bobby and Ali struck me as friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. I gave Bobby the estimate from the dealer, and he wrote down his own prices next to the dealer costs, including the precise number of hours for labor for each task. The difference in cost was significant. The next day, Bobby called to tell me that he had discovered one additional item that needed replacement, that the dealer missed, but it would only be $100.
    With all this needed work, Olive Auto had my car ready the day after I brought it in. BONUS:  Despite what the dealer said, my battery tested at 100%. ($500 SAVED!) and I did not need a window regulator. There was simply a bolt that needed adjusting. ($1,000 SAVED!) Bobby even showed me the regulator he ordered from BMW ($440) that he was sending back to them.
    Without my even asking, Bobby showed me all the old parts that were removed from my car, pointing out the wear and tear and explaining the problems that resulted from them. All the replacement parts were new, certified BMW parts.
    Bottom line: Center BMW was going to charge me $6,632. Ali's Olive Auto charged me $2,840. My savings: $3,792. My car was purring like a happy kitten on the drive home.
    So you bet I'll be back. So will my wife and all my friends who live in the Valley who are looking for good, friendly, honest service at a fraction of dealer's service costs.

    I had been pleased with their work on my 1st visit and repair, and gave them a very good review, but now I have a different opinion.  They replaced a broken windshield. The first day I drove it in the pouring rain, my windshield wiper fell off and then I discovered the window was not sealed in one corner. I took my car back and they fixed it right away. One time as I was leaving Auto Aid my left hand turn signal was not working so I had to turn around to go right back. They did something to fix it, but didn't tell me there was a problem. I thought something had just gotten disconnected when they were working on my car, but soon after my blinker went out. I always ask them to check the car over for problems. After all the work was completed my car's steering was still making a humming noise, I took it back. They told me it was the power steering pump they had replaced. This happened twice and to their credit they replaced it on guarantee. After replacing the pump the second time and still having the noise, I asked if it wouldn't help to re-bleed the system for air and was told yes, but it was suggested to me, to try a special fluid to flush the system instead, at my cost of $79.97, I was told it might or might not help. it did not help. The last time they changed the pump they used a different company, but my car did not receive a re-bleed. It is better but still makes a noise. The day I picked it up I could still hear the noise, but I was told it was gone. My idle was running high and I had to take it back again. I guess they just do not here these things when test driving. They had my car a long time to repair it, they always keep it a long time. My car is old, but only has 93,000 miles on it, so I understand it does take a little longer to get parts, but not that long, but I didn't want to rush them. I feel if it was a newer car they would get the work done faster. I do appreciate the ride and pickup they offer. After having over $4,500.00 work done on my car since 12/2014 at Auto Aid, one would expect it to run better. The car vibrates when warming up and the idle is still not right. They are very nice but I would prefer the work get's done correctly the 1st time. I have had to take it back so many times. I would only go there now because of the guarantee
