San Diego Design & Remodeling, Inc.
Over the last two years we have enjoyed the kitchen and bathroom remodeling work and room addition that SDD&R did for us in the summer of 2016. Our family room has become our main place to hang out and the remodeled kitchen and new family room have been the center of a number of family gatherings and celebrations. Jeremy and Eric were great to work with on this project. They encouraged us to remove a kitchen wall to open it to the dining room and we are so happy we did. They also worked with us to resolve some issues we had with the original house design (i.e., replaced water lines that were in the slab with new lines through the attic, upgraded the electric circuits to the kitchen, included a raised slab for our room addition to address a grade problem in our back yard). With our initial input, they prepared suggested designs and layouts for our kitchen and bathroom remodels, and then we worked with them to revise these to exactly what we wanted in the finished product. Once these designs were finalized, they provided us with firm costs for the project, which were very competitive and a great value. They also provided us with several references at which we checked out the work that they had been done. Based on these references, we believed that Jeremy and Eric could deliver the finished product, and we liked the designs and costs, so we proceeded to contract with them. They directed us to a separate design company to prepare the drawings for the room addition. They provided us a list of what products we needed to pick out (e.g., plumbing fixtures, paint colors, tile, lighting, ceiling fans, kitchen and bathroom accessories) and a schedule for when they would need them. Also, they utilized a number of sub-contractors (e.g., tile, roof, framing, stucco, countertops, cabinets, painting) that provided great finished products. They also coordinated with several other contractors that we decided to use for flooring, asbestos removal, windows, HVAC, and Solatube installation. As in every project of this scope, there were some issues to deal with along the way, but they were quickly resolved. SDD&R gutted the kitchen and bathrooms to the studs rather than cutting and patching the drywall. We believe this made for a better finish and also allowed us to have them reinforce many of the areas in the bathrooms where we wanted to install towel racks and grab bars. The cabinets and quartz countertops we got through them are of superior quality and these were used in the kitchen and bathrooms and hallway and laundry cabinets. They even installed a cabinet in the hallway location that formerly housed our whole house heater, which we had just previously moved to the attic. This work took from the beginning of June through mid-September to complete, which was pretty close to the schedule they had provided us. They used progress payments through the duration of the project and these were based upon specific activities that had been completed. This worked out well for us. Overall, this was a project that was well run and had a quality result and we would highly recommend SDD&R to others to check out for their remodeling projects.

    SOD Builders
Luxcess Home by SOD Builders did a few remodeling jobs that were combines into 1 large remodeling project for us and we are very proud with the work they did. The remodeling project ended up with a complete remodeling of the main first floor of our house (kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, bedroom, entry, living room etc.). The project required a lot of attention to all the details because it contained also the removal of a wall in the kitchen that gave us an open space and at the same time enlarged the overall space of the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets were all custom made and with all the new appliances... The new kitchen is no less than a gorgeous one! The project was on a daily basis and each day all the workers were at our house from morning to evening while supervised by Gal. we are very proud at our new house and we highly recommend them for any remodeling project.

    Kitchens Plus
After checking into several remodelers around town, Kitchens Plus came out as our top choice. The whole process, as well as the results of our kitchen and bath remodel just confirmed we made the right decision. Matt Barns and his staff were excellent in all aspects of the project. They adhered to the time line and kept us informed of the schedule. They were attentive to details big and small, and provided effective solutions to anything that came up from the original construction. Jim Peterman and Stefanie Zanow really helped to finalize all the layout and design aspects. To sum it all up, this was the most positive experience we could have hoped for, with exceptional quality and craftsmanship at a price that was better than most other remodelers we looked into.

    Integrity Restoration, Inc.
My Project was an insurance claim for water damage in my kitchen and adjacent spare bedroom. The refrigerator water supply line was leaking and destroyed my lower cabinets, dry wall and I also had water damaged in the spare room since they shared the same wall. The damage in the spare room was minimal, carpet, dry wall and Waynes coating on one wall and of course paints. I was told it would take two and half weeks maybe a little longer due to all the rain damage claims that the company was handling and the availability of their dry wall personnel. I was also told that on daily basis I would have workers at my home from 0800-1600 Monday thru Friday. So my project started off well, my dry wall was done quicker than I expected (first thing done), which made me think that the project was going to move and be done in a timely manner. To my surprise that did not happen, there were days no one would show up to my house, and all I had done was dry wall and a temporary laundry sink installed in my home. Dry wall dust throughout my home, furniture and items that were supposed to be moved into my garage still located in my spare room covered in dust. They even painted the room with the contents in the room. So after I complained and told my project manager that I had enough and I was going to lay the laminate floor my self during the weekend (this due to the change order not being completed yet even though I told him on our initial meeting that I would rather have laminate flooring then carpet installed) he was able to have somebody come out and lay the floor. The floor came out nicely; I ended up moving all of the contents back in the room that I removed earlier. There were many small paint issues that needed to be corrected, not a big deal, but again this is a professional service and it should have been done professionally to begin with. So jumping a head about a week after my spare room was completed and my intial complaint to the project manager I came home to cabinets being installed into my kitchen. I was excited, for the first few minutes. See my estimate and what my insurance was paying for was for all of the lower cabinets (damaged from the water) and the upper cabinets (these were damaged during the removal by the mitigation team) on the one wall of my kitchen that was effected. After talking to the cabinet installer, he was told to repair them and reinstall them into the kitchen. I said this is a mistake and showed him the estimate; he said yea they are supposed to be replaced. He called the project manager and he basically told him to just repair and install the original cabinets and he also told him to tell me that. I was floored and angry, this was insurance fraud to me, and thankfully the cabinet installer said he did not feel comfortable with doing this. Needless to say I was done; I called Integrity Restoration and told the management what was going on. I told them what was going on and they said it was late on Friday and that they would be out on Monday to investigate what was going on. So that following Monday I meet with Jim, we was very concerned on how my project was being handled and pointed out that not only was I right about the upper cabinets needing to be replaced but all of my cabinets would need to be replaced because they could not match them. He apologized and said they would make it right even if they ended up taking a loss on the project. I told him ok fine, I need a new project manager, because I did not want my original one in my home again. He said he would be taking the project over and completing it for me. So after all of the resubmittals to the insurance company and finding cabinets that would work for my family Jim told me that Micah would be the main guy performing the install of the cabinets and also the remaining item lines. I was extremely happy with both Jim and especially Micah. Micah was on time every day, completely polite, friendly and his workmanship was outstanding. I truly hope that Integrity Restoration knows what type of employee Micah is and they strive to keep this young man around. He is the type of employee that has given this company such high grades. So needless to say the final product of my home is outstanding, we have a complete new Kitchen that me and my wife are extremely happy with. I know that a majority of my review is not a flattering review for this company, and that is due to the having the wrong person running my project. If I had Jim and Micah from the beginning, I would be able to rate this company as a five star company, but since I didnt and I had so many issues I have to rate them lower then they probably deserve because of the lack of managing my project and knowingly try to put up the wrong cabinets, which in my opinion would have been fraud. If you choose to go with this company I urge you to ask for Jim and Micah to be the ones that you trust into your home to complete your restoration.

    EZ Builders Inc.
Our complete kitchen remodeling was done by EZ builders and certainly was beyond our expectations and much more than what we could imagined. The reason for that was not only because the high quality of the products and materials, but because the people EZ Builders have on their staff. At first, we met with the designer Michael and we explained to him what goal we would like to achieve and what type of style we love and want to have. Our feeling after that meeting was that he can design our amazing kitchen without any doubts. He used his significant talents and skills to design the kitchen with solutions that we never thought we can have or get. Later on, we met with Yaniv who managed this whole remodeling including his team of workers. Yaniv arrived to the house each morning to see what the crew will do that day and he left at the end of the day after making sure that the space is clean. The new kitchen came out completely different that the old one and with much more space and storage while the new appliances, counter top and cabinets added big amount of beauty. We'll hire EZ Builders again for our next remodeling project.

    Loya's Cleaning Services
4 cleaners showed up for 1 hour and 40 minutes in order to fulfill the 6 hours of cleaning that I purchased. They did clean the entire time, and got a lot done, although not everything I had hoped. I asked for some special services, including cleaning windows, which they did as requested, which I did appreciate. My house is pretty big (3200 square feet), and I didn't expect them to clean everything, but I had hoped that all 3 of my bathrooms, would get cleaned for the 6 hours I purchased, but they only cleaned 1 of them. What they did, they did a good job at cleaning. I would consider using them again. They communicated quickly and kept me updated on when they would be arriving.

    MIRAMAR KITCHEN & BATH
We worked with Jeff who managed our project.  He was committed to quality work, communicated with us at every step, and assisted in problem solving when questions arose during the renovation.  We replaced all of our cabinets and pushed the peninsula out about a foot to increase the size of the kitchen.  What a difference in size, function, and style...wonderful!

    GW Construction
The wall was built to my exacting specifications to include plumbing access penetrations for my pool solar water heater and water supply lines.  Also bracing between the wall and the solar structure so the plumbing would not be stressed.  The lower block wall provides privacy and still allows an excellent view of the valley below which I was missing with my old taller wood fence.  The designer blocks I requested match the color of my house and have a unique textured split face finish which accents the pool area.  They provided a built to order sturdy gate which matches the wall.  The workmen who dug the footing, poured the footing, and laid the block were professionals with lots of experience, especially Henry who was an expert block layer and carpenter.  They arrived promptly in the early morning and got right to work.  As different phases of the job were started, they consulted with me to make sure things were being installed in accordance with my plan and the contract..  The wall is beautiful and just as I had visualized it.  The wall was built on time and within budget.

    Michaeline's Custom Finishing
Working with Michaeline and Jesse is a pleasure. They know their materials and have a good eye for what will work and what won't. Their suggestions have been spot on. They always show up on time and prep the work area perfectly. They are efficient and I feel safe leaving them in charge. When they are finished, they clean up and leave the area neat and clean. And their finished work always delights. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to save money by refinishing what they have and making it look awesome.
