    SOD Builders
Luxcess Home by SOD Builders did a few remodeling jobs that were combines into 1 large remodeling project for us and we are very proud with the work they did. The remodeling project ended up with a complete remodeling of the main first floor of our house (kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, bedroom, entry, living room etc.). The project required a lot of attention to all the details because it contained also the removal of a wall in the kitchen that gave us an open space and at the same time enlarged the overall space of the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets were all custom made and with all the new appliances... The new kitchen is no less than a gorgeous one! The project was on a daily basis and each day all the workers were at our house from morning to evening while supervised by Gal. we are very proud at our new house and we highly recommend them for any remodeling project.

They were very nice and sent me samples. They sent me out a heavy sample that is 4' long and 18" wide. You can lay it on the floor and it gives you an idea of what the planks look like. They gave me two actual samples of the products so that you could see the difference between the colors. He didn't charge me to do this. He let me know when they are having a sale on it. I am hoping to purchase it at that time. Their warranty on their luxury vinyl product is 50 years. Anything over 350' is free shipping.

Matt seemed to be very knowledgeable. He was very polite. He was very helpful. I was expecting to pay for the samples, but he let me try it out for no charge. I was very surprised about that. He was not trying to rush me. He took his time with me explaining things. He answered all of my questions. If I can come up with a color that works, I am going to call Matt.

    Integrity Restoration, Inc.
My Project was an insurance claim for water damage in my kitchen and adjacent spare bedroom. The refrigerator water supply line was leaking and destroyed my lower cabinets, dry wall and I also had water damaged in the spare room since they shared the same wall. The damage in the spare room was minimal, carpet, dry wall and Waynes coating on one wall and of course paints. I was told it would take two and half weeks maybe a little longer due to all the rain damage claims that the company was handling and the availability of their dry wall personnel. I was also told that on daily basis I would have workers at my home from 0800-1600 Monday thru Friday. So my project started off well, my dry wall was done quicker than I expected (first thing done), which made me think that the project was going to move and be done in a timely manner. To my surprise that did not happen, there were days no one would show up to my house, and all I had done was dry wall and a temporary laundry sink installed in my home. Dry wall dust throughout my home, furniture and items that were supposed to be moved into my garage still located in my spare room covered in dust. They even painted the room with the contents in the room. So after I complained and told my project manager that I had enough and I was going to lay the laminate floor my self during the weekend (this due to the change order not being completed yet even though I told him on our initial meeting that I would rather have laminate flooring then carpet installed) he was able to have somebody come out and lay the floor. The floor came out nicely; I ended up moving all of the contents back in the room that I removed earlier. There were many small paint issues that needed to be corrected, not a big deal, but again this is a professional service and it should have been done professionally to begin with. So jumping a head about a week after my spare room was completed and my intial complaint to the project manager I came home to cabinets being installed into my kitchen. I was excited, for the first few minutes. See my estimate and what my insurance was paying for was for all of the lower cabinets (damaged from the water) and the upper cabinets (these were damaged during the removal by the mitigation team) on the one wall of my kitchen that was effected. After talking to the cabinet installer, he was told to repair them and reinstall them into the kitchen. I said this is a mistake and showed him the estimate; he said yea they are supposed to be replaced. He called the project manager and he basically told him to just repair and install the original cabinets and he also told him to tell me that. I was floored and angry, this was insurance fraud to me, and thankfully the cabinet installer said he did not feel comfortable with doing this. Needless to say I was done; I called Integrity Restoration and told the management what was going on. I told them what was going on and they said it was late on Friday and that they would be out on Monday to investigate what was going on. So that following Monday I meet with Jim, we was very concerned on how my project was being handled and pointed out that not only was I right about the upper cabinets needing to be replaced but all of my cabinets would need to be replaced because they could not match them. He apologized and said they would make it right even if they ended up taking a loss on the project. I told him ok fine, I need a new project manager, because I did not want my original one in my home again. He said he would be taking the project over and completing it for me. So after all of the resubmittals to the insurance company and finding cabinets that would work for my family Jim told me that Micah would be the main guy performing the install of the cabinets and also the remaining item lines. I was extremely happy with both Jim and especially Micah. Micah was on time every day, completely polite, friendly and his workmanship was outstanding. I truly hope that Integrity Restoration knows what type of employee Micah is and they strive to keep this young man around. He is the type of employee that has given this company such high grades. So needless to say the final product of my home is outstanding, we have a complete new Kitchen that me and my wife are extremely happy with. I know that a majority of my review is not a flattering review for this company, and that is due to the having the wrong person running my project. If I had Jim and Micah from the beginning, I would be able to rate this company as a five star company, but since I didnt and I had so many issues I have to rate them lower then they probably deserve because of the lack of managing my project and knowingly try to put up the wrong cabinets, which in my opinion would have been fraud. If you choose to go with this company I urge you to ask for Jim and Micah to be the ones that you trust into your home to complete your restoration.

    Timberwood Landscape
First of all the owner Jonathan Bolin, headed me off for making a very poor choice of how to color coat my driveway . Taking his advice, for reasons he explained in detail, I went with a product he directed me to and the end result is amazing. I was happy with the stucco patching on my house. My stucco is eight years old and using the original color, the patching color is more than I expected was possible. They also laid a new tile entryway for me at my front door . But they first had to demo it and take out the blacktop driveway that was underneath it originally they did a beautiful job leveling it out and making a new foundation to set the new tiles it's beautiful. The other project was putting a new foundation under my backyard storage shed minutes approximately 10 x 12 . Delayed cement concrete pavers put a new wood floor down reinstalled the shed all went very well. I would highly recommend Timberwood landscaping and Mr. Bolin and his crew they were respectful of my property they left it clean as could be all evidence of them being here is gone . All I'm left with is a beautiful house a beautiful entryway a beautiful driveway and a very sturdy new shed.

    HOME DEPOT
Run! You think you might be able to get affordable flooring but I can get hardwood installed cheaper. They know this and charge $50 to come out and measure before they will let you know that their affordable materials can't be installed, so you have to get the more expensive flooring if you want them to install it.  Then, make sure you're sitting down when they get to the installation charges. My floor is in good shape and I just want to replace the existing flooring in a 108 sqft room - over $1300 for the installation alone.
I've dealt with a lot of greedy shysters in the home repair industry but these take the cake.

    San Diego Flooring Express
The task for this project was to remove carpet in the living room and the hallway.  The next process after removing the old material was to prep the floor by removing any nails and patching chipped concrete. After removing the carpet, Flooring Express stripped the old glue off the floor as much as possible to prepare a nice clean floor for new material to be installed.  Flooring Express was also responsible for removing and re-installing baseboards in the area where the hardwood floor was installed.  At all times from beginning to end the project was very clean and employees were always alert of potential dust going into other spaces in my home.  I like the fact that transitions from the wall to baseboard and baseboard to floor were very neat with nice straight lines and no voids in between.  The project went very smooth, as planned, and there were no inconveniences which made me feel very happy.  Overall I am very pleased with San Diego Flooring Express and I will recommend them to anyone out there and plan to use them again in near future projects soon.

I contacted San Diego Flooring Express and they came to my house for a free estimate. I like how I was able to speak with owner of the company. Samir was very flexible and his price was beyond reasonable. He was punctual and very responsible throughout the entire project. The process was quick and professionally done, he was done in 4-5 hours. Additionally, his experience and knowledge on the field really helped in the innovation in my home. JandBy's Remodeling Co Inc
I got a few quotes for my bathroom remodel but Jim stood out from the crowd. He was prompt, competitively priced, and very knowledgeable. I had a good idea of what I wanted and Jim not only delivered, but went above and beyond and improved upon my design. Communication was fantastic as well. He engaged me on all decisions large and small so there were no "surprises".  Jim and his team had full access to my home while I was at work and they proved to be very trustworthy and respectful. They always cleaned up at the end of each workday.
What I ended up with was a bathroom that belongs in Home & Gardens magazine. Here's some of the details:
Steam shower - Built a soffit, plumbing, installed a steam generator in the attic, new electrical circuit, installed the light/sound electronics, installed fixtures including overhead, standard and hand-held showerheads and custom glass.
Jetted tub - rebuilt the tub base and plumbing for the new air jetted tub, installed dedicated gfi electrical circuit.
Vanity - Installed a new double vanity, eliminated unsightly medicine cabinets, installed LED vanity lighting and mirrors.
Stone - Installed marble flooring in bathroom, water closet and attached walk-in closet. Installed travertine tile in shower, on tub deck and backsplash.
Misc - Crown molding throughout, paint, installed a bidet toilet seat, replaced all valves, etc
Jim also replaced my failed hot water heater with a new tankless system.
Bottom line is that I'm more than pleased with the final product and would highly recommend Jandby. I already have more projects in mind and wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

    Joe's Hardwood Floors, Inc.
Once we pulled the trigger, Joe was ready to go the following Monday, but we decided it was better to prep for painting before refinishing, so put him on hold for two weeks (start 5/13), which he was able to accommodate us on. It also gave us time to consider the future transition from hardwood to tile (DIY - Joe will come back to do the transition after I finish the tile).
5/13  It is going to be a hot one. Promised to reach high 90s where we live. To open the floor plan a  little, we knocked down a non-bearing pony wall in the entrance way, along with removing a bookshelf between kitchen and LR. There was nothing but subfloor under the pony wall, while the bookcase was mounted on top of the original hardwood and linoleum, which means that, in the DR/kitchen area, there are really three layer of vinyl/linoleum on top of 1/2" plywood, on top of subfloor.
Joe called on Sunday evening to confirm that he would be by around 8:30 to get started. He actually got here around 8:10, by himself, to look things over. We discussed the DR/kitchen and where he would be filling the space left by the pony wall removal; he suggested it might be easier for us to simply cut and pry up the old subfloor rather than continue to spend days trying to heat and scrape up the existing tile to save the existing floor. He offered to have his guys cut up a section to help me get started - they ended up giving me a 12" starter row all the way around the edge of the transition area.
Joe left, his guys arrived within 15 minutes - three very friendly and upbeat guys who loved my dogs, and showed what great craftsmen they were over the next few days. At the end of the first day, Joe came back to discuss replacing several pieces of wood where there had been a metal transition piece nailed down between the dining room and living room, which we agreed on replacing after I sent photos to SO.
5/14  Another hot day. Jason, Joe and Dan arrived around 8:30, replaced the necessary boards and had the first coat of poly on before leaving the house sealed up for the night in mid-afternoon.
5/15 Joe came by again around 8 a.m.Wednesday morning, and we both got a good look at the area that had been replaced, which had not blended well wit the 55 yo original red oak. We discussed it for awhile, then he left and when his guys got there, they both agreed that it needed to be redone, which put us back a little bit time-wise, but ended up looking MUCH better than it had, so they got my OK, then put the second coat of poly on.
5/16  Final coat of poly late in day; looking very nice...
5/17  Joe stopped by around 8:30 to check everything out. Patched area looks great now; overall it is a beautiful job, especially with the satin finish. Sure you can see faint nail holes from crazy people who tacked wall-to-wall over hardwood in the last 50 years, but the natural finish lightens up the whole house. Plus, he'll come back to make the transition pieces once I finish the tile project later this year.
    Great job!
