    Brenda Forrest MD
My wife and I have been with Dr. Forrest for 18 years. She is a terrific Dr. for internal medicine, her problem-solving abilities are fantastic. My wife has many health problems and she's always been able to either solve the problem or refer us to other exceptional doctors at Stanford university. She takes the time to clearly understand the problems that we bring to her offers many solutions to complex problems. She's not afraid to say she doesn't know and refer us to a doctor that would know what's going on.

    Timothy Hooper MD
July 2012 - Showed up on time for my first appt. w/Dr. Hooper. Waited 1 hr. 15 minutes to be put in room. Dr. Hooper listened to my Emergency Room experience and then told me that I had not had a TIA. He told me to go on my cruise and live my life. He asked if I needed anything else. I told him I needed a prescription for Synthroid, Imitrex and if possible Fiorinol w/codeine for migraine headaches. I have had chronic headaches for over 20 years. I attended a headache clinic for 18 months before being given Imitrex which changed my life for the better, immediately! He gave me new prescriptions but said no more Fiorinol and gave me a prescription for Tylenol w/codeine (15 tabs) instead.
When I left this appt. I was very confused. I had been told at the hospital that I had a TIA. He said no......just forget about it. live your life. The next month I had dinner w/a neurosurgeon who knows Dr. Hooper. I told him what had taken me to the Emergency room. He said and quot;it sounds like you had a TIAand quot;. On my follow-up appt. w/Dr. Hooper I told him what his friend, Dr. Nelson said and he told me and quot;I wanted you to have a good time on your cruise, you did have a TIA, but I didn't want you to worry during your vacation.and quot; REALLY? How am I supposed to trust this man? My problem was that he was the only doctor accepting patients when I needed a doctor!
In February of this year I had to go back to Dr. Hooper because I had been vomiting 1-2 times a week for 4 months. We had been looking all over the internet for possible problems. I waited in his waiting room for over an hour (again) only to have him come in and listen to what my symptoms were and then sit in front of me w/his smartphone and look things up of possible reasons for my vomiting. It was extremely frustrating. To his credit, even though I highly doubted him, he told me to take Milk Thistle Weed for a month. Sure worked! I have only vomitted twice since taking the herb.
Last week, 7 months after the original prescription for Imitrex and Tylenol w/codeine was given to me by Dr. Hooper, I called in a refill request for Imitrex and the Tylenol....he refused. He said I needed to be seen once every three months to get a prescription. Why? I have been taking Imitrex since it came on the market. No doctor in the past ever seemed concerned that I got 2 prescriptions of 9 tablets each per I have to be monitored? I asked Dr. Hooper to make an exception this one time and that I would come in after we got back from a cross-country road trip to visit our granddaughter. I was stunned when he said no, you need to come in for a visit. I asked him why? If I come in and tell you I STILL have chronic migraines...what will change that? He said it was his policy. This was news to me....nobody had ever explained his policy to me until I needed the medication.
From day one, I was uncomfortable with the loose way the office is run. To have to sit and wait for over an hour for a doctor is bearable one time, but every time? Today I was lucky enough to get a call back from our local hospital referral system. They have given me three doctors that are now accepting new patients. I am disappointed that none of them are on your list and I can't find any information on them to know which one might be right for me. We have a real problem here in Sonora with doctors only staying for 2 yrs. They fulfill their contract and then leave. I've lived here 12 years. Dr. Hooper is the 5th doctor I've seen simply because the first 4 left the county. Anyway, I was hoping your service would be helpful...but there is no feedback on these potential new doctors.

    Karen Gaspardi MD
She provides routine services. She is friendly and knowledgeable I would recommend her to friends, family members and other Angie’s list members. Regarding availability it was easy to get in. I haven’t had any treatment, it was just routine stuff.

    Maynard, Dr. Matthew
I did not have a great experience with Dr. Maynard. When I need to see him, if it was not on Wednesday, I was sent to labor and delivery. I do believe if I would have see a better doctor my son wouldn't have been born premature. I , also, had a problem with pain in the c-section area and he diagnosed it as nerve damage and gave me some medicine. Needless to say, that wasn't it. I ended up going 2 hours away to see my previous provider, who solved the issue in 2 mins, to get the real reason of this pain. All that needed to be done was a change in birth control. Since then, no pain.

    James Mosson MD
Dr. Mosson is great. I would still use him but I moved and he's too far away. He takes all the time he needs during my check ups and he's very good at listening to the descriptions of my health problems. I like him.

Sonora Regional Med. Center - Sierra Internal Med.
Very intelligent MD but he quit since and there are not any Family/internists taking new patients. I will need to go out of the area to find a doctors that is taking patients.
