Electrician reviews in Sonoma

    Northern Pacific Power Systems
We were very satisfied with the solar installation and personnel of Northern Pacific Power. Our salesman, Cassius, was personable and answered all of our questions. Adaggio, our main point of contact during construction, was responsive with prompt emails and information when needed. They made sure we agreed with the final solar panel layout and design before beginning. They seamlessly obtained permits and interfaced with the county and PG&E inspectors. The installers did careful and thoughtful work. This was important to us as my husband is a retired building inspector who is picky about details. The workers made a point of checking in with us before leaving each day to make sure to address anything we needed. Jake, the electrician, was very competent and did an impressive job of replacing our complicated, challenging, and outdated electrical box, which was an extra request of ours. Final inspections by the county and PG&E were easily passed without issues. Jake also matched exterior paint to camouflage conduit on the roof and siding. Cassius and Graham came to our home to wrap up with final information once the job was completed. We highly recommend this company as they did highly professional work and communication was outstanding.

    Arrow Electric
From initial contact to job completion, Arrow was professional. Matt, the owner, wrote up a quote on the spot. He made helpful suggstions yet listened to my input. There was no hard sell, and his quote was reasonable. His office kept up timely communication before the designated work date. Matt and co-worker Paul arrived on time. Their work was thorough and tidy, plus they put up with my very curious Labrador. They took extra time to survey the electrical "landscape" for anything that seemed questionable, but were reassuring in that respect. I had expected an amount of damage or debris from cutting into walls; there was, incredibly, none. As I said, they were very pleasant and professional. I will definitely call Arrow in the future with no reservations.

The work done was very professional, neat.
The only issue I had is when I got the quote on the price the 10% Angie discount was not listed.  There was some work that was done by the hour.  When I sent in my payment, I deducted the 10% for the hourly rate portion.  The owner accepted this payment from me.  I questioned the owner about the quote price and he said the 10% was already taken out before the quote was given.  I don't really think that was true.
So I feel like I got ripped off for 10% of my charge.  There was no way for me to prove this so I paid the requested amount.  So I feel like I got ripped off for about $60-$70, which was the 10% of the $680 I paid him for the quoted proposal.

I can't speak highly enough of Appleton Electric.  The electrician arrived on time as promised and was very professional in every way.  I have had so many unpleasant experiences with electricians in the past and this installation  dispelled all my anxieties.  The job was finished as agreed upon and there were no  additional charges tacked on to the original estimate.  The clean-up was perfection.  I will use Appleton Electric in the future.  Leslie D.

    CBS Electric
Did not provide the estimate. When contacted, said he would provide the estimate by the week-end. Did not do that either. I emailed CBS Electric and told them I would find another electrician and would post my experience here. I found another electrician here on Angie's List.

    United Plumbing Heating Air Electric
Overall experience was good, and I believe they do quality work.  Once they got on-site to do the work, they were prompt, punctual and professional.
My only complaint was that the communication could have been better.  A truck breakdown caused first appointment to be cancelled.  Then we got into the holiday season.  Communication was required between CA&E and me, and my tenant-and frankly I was left hanging waiting for appt. confirmation, etc. that never came.  Admittedly, it was not the easiest communication scenario for CA&E as it was 3-way.

    Brookline Electric
This website does not allow for older dates, but I used Brookline back in 2006. They installed four outdoor motion detector lights, which I was happy with except I thought the price was a bit high. Keep in mind, however, that it's been over 7 years since I've used them, so I cannot vouch for their current operation.

I had the power trip in one section of my house.  The sconces in the bedroom seemed to have caused the problem. I also wanted some advice about our sump pump as well as an electrical box in the attic that our handyman thought had melted and a safety check.  They came on time, answered any and all questions, did a thorough safety check, were very polite, made money saving suggestions, and left my home clean.  I felt very good about the service and would call them again for sure.

Dan installed 6 new LED ceiling lights in the LR where neither a switch nor wiring existed. He saved us $ by advising us NOT to move a ceiling junction box that could be easily swagged. He assisted me with a laundry room project I spearheaded (saved the day actually with some impromptu plumbing and fresh work arounds). When asked if he could install a ceiling fan in the bedroom (once again where there wasn't any existing wiring) he undertook the project with great energy. He needed to. The attic did not lend itself to determinative measurements, but through great application and perseverance he managed to properly suspend the b****** (my words, not his).
There were some other items, but suffice to say if their were an emoticon expressing supreme customer satisfaction at a great would be right here.

James arrived on time and worked straight through to 3:30 p.m.  He was efficient, polite and personable.  I had called on 7/3 after being shined on by my new home insurance people and they worked us in on 7/5/
