Landscaping reviews in Sloughhouse

  • This group was fabulous! They arrived on time, did exactly as stated and cleaned up great. They had a good knowledge of what was to be done and how to do it. They were very professional. We would definitely use them again and also recommend them. Can't say enough good things. When we called them on Angie's List, they were the first to respond and came right out within the next hour to give an estimate.

  • Very well -- Lavish Garden's provided a reasonable price for amount of work done. The crew was very punctual and really skilled. Steve who was the site manager was extremely detailed oriented and consulted with us regularly to ensure we were satisfied with the work and made sure that options were discussed whenever changes from the landscaping plan needed to be considered. We've had a few of our new plantings die during the hot summer, but Lavish extended their normal 3 month warranty on them, and said they will come back in the fall and replace those.

  • BADLY.  READ THE REVIEWS ON ANGIE'S LIST AND DECIDED THAT THEIR RATING WAS SO LOW WE DID NOT WANT THEM COMING OUT.    THE REVIEW SAID THAT WHEN SOMETHING NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED THEY WANTED TO USE COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS AT A HIGHER COST.  THAT TOLD US WE WERE NOT INTERESTED.

  • It was great. It was excellent and the reason it was excellent is that they work with you in other words they come back and ask you questions about what you want and comment on what you are doing that might be stupid. They communicate well without taking over and they have basically a process that is likely to get the customer the best out come they could have even though the customer didn't know how to do that at the on set.

  • My wife and I were extremely pleased by the work of Lavish Gardens.  We were especially impressed by the organization and efficiency of the company?s design and planting/installation process.  We came to the landscaping project with our own ideas of what plants and other features we wanted and where we wanted them.  Lavish gardens put our ideas into scale drawings with recommended changes based on sun/shade exposure, soil, drainage, aesthetics, etc. including photographs, text, and plan drawings showing/explaining colors and dimensions and what the plants and trees were likely to look like at maturity.  The result was clearly a much better plan than we would have devised on our own.

After completion of the design, Lavish Gardens provided a detailed line item bid/estimate of costs.  The detailed bid made it easy to determine if we wanted to change, add or exclude items based on costs.   The itemization also made it easier for us to judge whether the prices were fair and reasonable.

The planting/installation was done by an experienced crew and the workmanship and was completely professional.  The work on the project was not continuous because it had to be coordinated with suppliers and other projects of Lavish Gardens.  But the crews were on the project at all times when we were told they would be there, and all of our questions and requests for changes were responded to by phone or text promptly and in all cases within 24 hours.  Nothing had to be changed or redone because of a lack of communication.  The project involved less stress and a better result than I anticipated.

  • The owner was kind enough to travel out of his way to do this job. Great customer service and workers were very polite and most importantly knew what they were doing. They loved dogs and I felt very comfortable with this crew around my 4 year old. Good guys! Top notch service! Would recommend and hire again.

  • Everything wet fine. Michael called me as he said he would when he was headed to my house from his last job. He was right on time with his expected arrival time. I'm guessing he was here about an hour and a half. He also gave me some recommendations regarding the programming for the lawn and drip circuits. I would also say that Michael was very polite and professional and efficient. I would definately use him again for any lawn and drip watering problem.

  • They arrived each day on time and spent most of the day working their tails off.  They cleaned up as best they could before they left each day. They also spruced up the rest of our yard by cutting off lots of limbs from the bottom of our redwoods and they look so much cleaner now.  In addition, they removed all the redwood bark from the surrounding yard area & replaced with the same ground cover of lava rock. They also removed a red oak which caused another mess in our pool and planted several photinias.  Finally, they fixed our worn out drip system.  Eddie told us to call him if we have a problem with any of the new plants. You couldn't ask for anyone as professional  and thorough as Eddie Mullins. Our yard has gone thru a beautiful transformation. We love it.

  • They are prompt every Wed. and have a large crew that gets things done quickly. When we call to report a problem we will usually get their answering machine but they will call back to find out the problem. They do not trim the plants and trees as often as we would like but when we are home we can catch them to show them what is the problem.

  • Installers ran into trouble with the concrete under original flagstone/stamped concrete (they couldn't remove it because it was too thick).  Due to being unable to remove the old concrete, they had to switch to a much thinner, 7/8" paver (instead of 2"-3" pavers).
