These guys were great and easy to work with. They were always on time and available to answer questions. They had a great attitude and I know I had a lot of questions and changed my mind quit a bit. They were very personable and professional. The work they did was absolutely beautiful! The custom stone work in my kitchen and bathrooms was done perfectly! You can tell that these guys take a lot of pride in there work. My kitchen cabinets look like they are straight out of a catalog. My kitchen floor is mosaic tile and look fantastic! They really worked with me with my budget. Im recording these guys to all my friends and family. I get so many comments on how beautiful my home came out. Thanks again Briarwood Builders Inc.

    OM Construction Inc
I cannot say enough good things about Tony and his crew and the quality work they performed for me. I bought a condo with two 25-year old bathrooms, and wanted to replace the tubs, showers, fixtures, cabinets, toilets and floor tiles and repaint each one. I consulted with Tony about what could be done and both turned out great! Tony and OM Construction's tradesmen were professional, efficient, clean and responsive to minor changes or things that I wanted to do that wouldn't work because of the particular building (i.e. slab floor that prevented a walk-in shower because of existing plumbing that could not be re-configured or changed without significant work or cost). I will use OM Construction again with a rental property I own, and will heartily recommend them to friends.

    Sapir Construction
Sapir Construction did a excellent job on our remodel. They listened to our needs, They were in constant communication throughout the entire process (9 weeks to be exact). It was pretty big job. They removed walls to make our entire kitchen/dining room/living room open concept. They replaced all the walls in this area (and ceiling) from plaster to drywall. They replaced all electrical, new floors, a most importantly, a brand new kitchen. They also replaced our plumbing clean out from the house to the street. Overall, they helped us to create a beautiful kitchen and living space, along with correcting our very old plumbing. If we wanted to make changes in the middle they were great at working with us. They were polite and always kept an attitude of excitement as we experienced this adventure. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and professionalism.

    Original Richard
This is the second time I have used Original Richard and both times I feel that I got great value, good service, and quality work. I recently had water damage to interior walls from a roof leak at an apartment building that I own. There was an interior wall between two units that had gotten water soaked. The wall was an insulated wall and I was concerned about mold that could grow in the wet insulation and drywall. I also had some various drywall a plaster repairs that were needed at different locations in the building. I called a couple of contractors to come give me an estimate. The first Contractor was a real shyster who gave me an estimate of $4,500 for the repairs and tried to tell me that I needed a whole new roof and he know someone who could give me a great price on the roof repairs. I just listened and thanked him and sent him on his way, knowing that they were the last people I would ever hire. The next day I meet with the estimator from Original Richard, showed him the repairs and he gave me an estimate of $1400 for the repairs. I thought this was a very reasonable price and i later scheduled the work with their main office. On the scheduled day they workers showed up on time with the appropriate materials. I showed them the work to be done and they got started after taking time to put down floor protection along the path of work through the tenant's apartment. Once they opened the wall we discovered it was a structural shear wall with plywood behind the drywall which was also wet and was in front of the wet insulation which prevented the removal of the wet insulation. As the workers were showing me the situation, both the estimator and Original Richard himself showed up to review the situation. I realized that this was not what we had anticipated and was going to take additional work to repair. I had visions of huge added costs and expected to have to open up the wall from the other side, which would have inconvenienced another tenant and required at least one or two more later work days to complete. I thought I had just opened up a real can of worms. Well, they came up with a plan to cut-out the wet plywood, remove and replace the wet insulation, plywood and drywall and they could get it all done that day. They only charged an additional $150 for the additional work and plywood material. I was extremely happy with their solution and cost. At the end of the day all the repairs were completed, the mess was cleaned up and we all went our merry way.

Excellent. Pier explained in detail how he was going to install the track and made sure all worked properly before leaving. I was impressed with his workmanship as well as his neatness. I would like to use Pier for more extensive projects.

Mr Fixologist Handyman and Plumbing Services
Mike came out and gave me an estimate and a start date.  He was always reachable via email or cell phone.  An emergency popped up and he was quick to let me know that he would need to start a day later than anticipated.
He had the job completed in the time he said it would take (two days) and that's even after I threw in a couple of things, like painting a room and two exterior doors.  There was a problem with the deadbolt lining up once it was re-installed after the painting, and of course, we found it 15 minutes after he left.  BUT - he turned around and came back and resolved the problem.
    Everything looks great!

Barry did an outstanding job and we were exceptionally pleased with the results.  Barry was very professional and easy to work with and was very punctual in arriving according to the planned schedule.  Our  most optimistic expectations were surpassed with the quality of work and attention to detail.  We would definitely use Barry again for any future dry-walling efforts.

    Patchwork's Patching Specialist
We were so lucky to find Aston Hill and Patchwork Plastering.  Aston is a second-generation plasterer from England.  He really knows his craft.  We hired him to do patchwork on our 1930 Spanish Colonial Revival home after having it re-wired.  The walls in the place looked like swiss cheese after the electricians were done.  I think one estimator counted more than 150 holes in total!
My biggest concern was the plaster walls in the living room and dining room that had a swirling texture that was original to the house.  I did not want to skim over the original detail, but I knew matching it would be incredibly difficult.  In the end, Aston did an incredible job on the living room.  You cannot tell where the holes were made at all!  The electricians were amazed when they came back and saw the work. Even the painting contractor was amazed (he had also bid on the patching job, but didn't get it), both at the quality of the work and the price.
Aston knows the limits of his skill as well and is very honest.    He said the walls in the dining room would be impossible for him to match perfectly.  He said he could try but that he thought we would be better off skimming over those walls.  We took his advice and were incredibly happy with the results.
Another thing that I wanted to mention is that Aston is the boss and the worker.  He had a helper on this job because of the size, but there's no dealing with an estimator, the boss, the foreman and the workers...just him.  He's super-communicative and was very responsive with the progress of the job via text message.  Finally, he finished the job just when he said he would.

Tried contacting Huth multiple times. I set up an appointment and he was a no show. I got in contact with him to set up another appointment and for a second time he was a no show. I have not heard back from him since. I have tried email, text, phone and Angie's List messages and still nothing.

    Patchwork's Patching Specialist
From our first interaction to the final handshake at the end of the day, Aston was an exemplary contractor and professional for our patchwork needs.  Our house repiping project turned walls of our house into Swiss cheese, and we solicited patchwork specialists for bids.  Among the ones we contacted, Aston was responsive: he left detailed voice mail messages, texted, and replied promptly to email and Angie's List messages.  He provided a quote after we sent him pictures and measurements of the walls needing repair, and his price was very competitive.
Aston arrived promptly and prepared the work areas like no other we've observed in recent years.  He lined affected walls and floors thoroughly, and he was diligent in shutting doors to minimize dust/debris spreading to other areas of the house.  Aston worked continuously for hours.  His workmanship and attention to detail were obvious when we inspected the walls.  In addition, the pride that he takes in his work is evident: from how he presents himself to even his vanity license plates and singing along to some tunes!
Aston consistently maintained a professional demeanor.  Near the end of a long day (11 hours of practically non-stop work), he realized that he had forgotten one additional area.  He acknowledged the oversight and completed the job without complaint or hesitation.  He took the time afterward to clean up all work areas, answer questions, and ensure that we were satisfied with the plastering and repairs he had made.
Once we slap some paint on the walls, the home will appear as if no holes were ever created for repiping.  While the whole point of patchwork is to elude notice, Aston's work ethic, quality, and professionalism definitely made an impression with us.  We are grateful and would happily recommend him for any patchwork/plastering needs.
