    Hendricks, Dr. Ed J.
It’s a good program and they provide very good service. They have a combination where you do exercise and calorie intake. They also use protein shake for exercising. They give you weight log drug that curves your appetite. You have qualified people you talk to each time and you can always meet with the doctor.

    Sutter Health
Overall, my health feels 100% better. They are looking at a very holistic approach. I would recommend them to others because they have a real good program for those who want to lose weight for medical reasons. My husband has lost over 30 pounds. We both feel really good about it. A year before, I could barely walk across the street, but now I can walk better. They really push the exercise component. They are always there where they should be; they give us the phone numbers, they have the people call us if we need any kind of questions answered immediately. We get coffee and water set out for people who go there early early early in the morning. The staff there is very nice and friendly. They are very punctual; they were available 45 minutes earlier we were thinking to start. They are pre-organized a day before and week before for people. They have demonstrations on exercising. I go there for mind, spirit, body, and wellness component. The doctor and people assisting him are just great people.

    Uc Davis Medical Group
I go to Uc Davis Medical Group. I've been going since 1999. I had cancer in 2006. I can't say enough good things about Uc Davis' cancer center. They still follow me even though I've been reminiscent for eight years. I don't know any other medical group that follows. I know other people that are undergoing cancer treatment, I don't know anybody that's been followed like I have. I love Uc Davis Medical Group. I love them because they are on the cutting edge of the most recent treatments. They are well over Kaiser, Sutter and in this area, they are a level one trauma center. They're a teaching hospital but I have has really good care. I have not had any bad experience at Uc Davis at all. If I needed to get a call today to get an appointment with my doctor, I would call 734-7000. That takes you straight to the person for appointments. Another thing I like about them is I can call them and get a same day appointment. I can be seen even if my own doctor is out of the office. They will put me with another doctor. It's good. They've been able to help me because I have digestive issues. She's been very good with helping me modify my food and things like that. I had a co-worker tell me that I should choose Uc as my medical group group because they were on the cutting edge of everything and they're right. They're a university teaching hospital and they have a really high reputation for their quality of care. Their hospital was rated one of the number one hospitals in the United States. Their cancer center is what is called "MCI" accredited, that's by the National Cancer Institute. There's nearly 40 hospitals in the whole United States that have that and they're one of them. They won for one of the most outstanding children's hospitals recently. They have a specialty clinic for everything. I have not had bad treatment at all. I have been so happy. I'm getting to a point to where I'm looking to retire within the next five years and my husband and I are actually discussing right now where we do want to retire to because one thing that becomes very important to you as you start aging is medical care. You don't want to live too far away from that. I've looked at people that have come cancer treatment to Uc Davis that they have to live at a hotel. They have great expense. Here, this hospital is in my backyard and I'm thinking I am so lucky. I only have to drive 12 mils and I'm there. I can go home the same day. Some people even have to come out of state, that's really expensive. They are very pleasant and the have friendly staff. The doctors are good. I recently had one experience where my doctor wrote me a referral to a specialty clinic. This has only happened one time. I don't know where the break down in communication was but he wrote me a referral to gastroenterology and I had a little bit of a problem trying to get gastroenterology to schedule my appointment. I don't know why. All I did was I emailed my doctor, that's another I like about them. My medical record is online and I can email my doctor if I have an appointment. I emailed my doctor and I emailed the gastroenterologist that I've been working for a few years. I emailed them both over the weekend and Monday I got a response. The gastroenterologist called me and scheduled my appointment for the very next day. They followed up because my doctor had written up that referral and it had been a few weeks. That's the only little glitch that I can say that I had. I will definitely use them again.

    Early Screen Thermography
Getting information over the phone was very straightforward, regarding appointment times and pricing schedules. They were very accomodating with their schedule and were happy to answer many questions. I have recommended them to friends.

This report is on first visit of what will be 5-10 total.  The approach and coaching along with the information to help me manage my diet was very encouraging.  The approach for my condition was well constructed and applied in a personal way, realistic goals laid out to hit the targets I need to avoid issues with my condition.  I found the information I got could be specialized to my likes/dislikes with someone who helps set realistic goals, understood my risks, and saw the need for careful but lasting lifestyle changes - which are more effective than crash course approaches we cannot always sustain.  They knew about insurance and were very up front about things.  I would pay out of network costs to use their services though or pay myself.  Rates weren't crazy in my mind given the possibilities I have in managing my condition.
