Tony's Pool & Spa Service LA
Tony and his crew have been doing an excellent job since they started servicing our condominium complex poo in January 2018. They repaired some filter parts and other components that have been neglected by the prior pool servicer who left us suddenly. I cannot say enough good things about Tony. He and his crew are reliable, professional, do quality work and equally important, he communicates with me.

    Tigershark Leak Detection
Ray and his team was very professional and knowledgeable on their job. I called Ray because my neighbor was saying that I might have a leak from our pool because their backyard is constantly wet. I believe that my pool does not have a leak because my water bill is constantly on a low side and my quarterly statement puts our household as super saver. Ray and his team worked diligently for about 5 hours to look for a leak but they cant find one. Thank God. Ray was kind enough to also fix a minor issue in our pool pump with free of charge. I would highly recommend their service. Thank you Ray and Scott.

    JPS Pool Works
We have been working with JPS pool works for two months now and are very happy with the service. We have had tons of questions and it has been easy communicating, as well as, trouble shooting our various issues. I think that we are getting a great quality service for an affordable price. Most importantly we can enjoy our pool.

    Anthony Sena Leak Detection Company
He showed up on time, had very sofisticated equipment, explained the work he was going to do and the cost. Anthony found the pool leak between light ring and light niche. He stated the this was due to a poor plastering job around the hole for the light. Before doing the repair, he showed a die test underwater video that he made that showed two leaks in the space of the pool light. I authorized Anthony to perform an epoxy repair to seal the two leaks. Anthony tested the plumbing in the pool as well. Anthony kept me informed and explained the process and was very determined to find the pool leak. He saw it as a challenge since someone else could not find the leak. I was very pleased with his service.

Tony's Pool & Spa Service LA
I was very pleased with Tonys work. This past winters rainfall and winds wreaked havoc on our pool and, despite our best efforts, we were experiencing an algae breakout. I was worried that it might have compromised the filter beyond a standard cleaning, so I wanted someone to come take a look at it immediately. I called several other places but was told it would be anywhere from four days to a week for someone to come check out the issue (including one company that charged for an estimate). Luckily, Tony was in my area that afternoon and was able to diagnose the issue and start working immediately. My pool started looking much better within a few hours. Thanks, Tony! Tony and his team worked efficiently and thoroughly, and I will call him for other pool issues I will likely have in the future.

    Leak Solutions Inc
Richard at Leak Solutions is one of those providers that does a good job because it is important to him for his own satisfaction, let alone to take excellent care of his customers. I recommend him highly for any part of leak detection or repair or consultation. He is worth every penny he charges.

They do a very consistent and good job. They're up front and reasonable. We have the same person service pool (Joe) and he really delivers great care and high quality service. They always relay information even if we're not home. Highly recommend them.

    Swan Pools West
Pool contractors have a bad reputation in general. We've heard constant nightmare stories of delayed projects, undisclosed charges, hidden fees, dishonest subcontractors, shoddy workmanship, etc. Consequently my wife and I spent a couple years deciding exactly what we wanted in our backyard remodel while carefully vetting out the various bids we were getting from a very select group of contractors.
I cannot emphasize enough how happy we are in choosing Swan Pools West to do our project for us. Todd Lewis was a sincere pleasure to work with. He talks a lot, and so do I, so we certainly got all out bases covered when it came to what work needed to be done. When there were last minute changes that needed to be done, he made it happen. He was always on site at every major stage of the pool remodel to supervise the project. His employees and subcontractors were terrific, primarily his plumbing and concrete crews. Attention to detail and a constant flow of dialogue is so crucial for a project this big, and we are quite impressed over how smooth everything went.
The project was required ripping up and removing the old concrete deck and turf, new filter equipment, new saline filtration system, new plumbing, new electrical, pool heater, building in a hot spa into existing footprint (solid gunite), building a baja shelf into existing footprint (solid gunite), using mini pebble instead of plaster, concrete sanded coping, stamped concrete decking, drainage in deck, back planters, and side yard to lead to street, reversing yard gates to comply with city code, and building a fence around the equipment. The drains along the planters and side yard weren't even discussed. They just factored it in to the project by going the extra mile to make the project a success. Adding a quick fill valve line was also a nice feature that I didn't even think of that was factored in. The company is a true marriage of construction and design. Together, we collaborated on aesthetics like color schemes, stamped patterns, pebble tec and pool tile options, and lining the bottom step to be flush with the spa wall, among others.
Every stage of the project was completed in a timely fashion. We started construction in June and was in the pool by Labor Day weekend. It would have been sooner if it weren't for delays with another contractor on a door to window conversion we were also having done on a backyard facing wall.
Aside from solid communication, Todd was incredibly forthright and honest. He saved us money when we downsized our pool fence to better match our backyard aesthetic. He also helped us make the best choice for us regarding using a PDA for the pool equipment versus a smart phone controlled system. The same consideration was applied during our discussion regarding LED color lights versus normal pool lights (we opted for the latter less pricey option). He played an intricate part in choosing the 6" tile that goes around the pool, understanding the design look my wife and I were going for and steering us away from a more expensive yet less appealing look for us in the end that involved decorative tile.
Lastly, when problems arose like sharp concrete edges, chipped pieces of coping, lack of sanding on the equipment fence, some faulty putty work from the electrician when installing the proper fault line to out electrical panel, a broken sprinkler pipe, etc., Todd promptly addressed and rectified  all matters with professionalism that you wish all contractors would do.
As much as you want a contractor to guide you through a project, it is important for home owners to do their own due diligence and have that open honest dialogue with their contractor about options and worst case scenarios about matters like material choices. Pete is a master with concrete and placed expansion joints in all the right places. We do have some minor cracking in the concrete, but nothing that is egregious or unexpected. We also have expansive soil in our backyard and roots still present from very persistent carrotwood trees, so we knew that hairline cracking was a strong possibility.
With all things considered, this is a family business that understands that their name is attached to their business and that reputation is a valuable commodity that needs to be protected and upheld through solid workmanship. If you need a pool contractor, use these guys and ask for Todd.

He was very nice, very professional and helpful.  I felt he really knew what he was doing and did very careful work.  I had purchased a coupon for 2 hours of electrical work, and  he was here 15 or 20  minutes over the two hours in order to finish up the job he was doing, but did not ask for anything additional.  I definitely will call him again when I need an electrician.

    Gonzalez Pools

Gonzalez Pools met and exceeded my expectations for all work performed.  The completed pool is gorgeous.  They never exceeded the estimate that they originally provided and the price was very competitive and affordable for all of the work they did.  Favian and his brother came to the house each day so they were always available for consultation.  Their team of professionals were hardworking, polite, and experts at the various jobs that they performed.  Each day they cleaned up, so the construction process was made easier.  They are honest, hardworking and diligent...and above all...they are professionals who know what they are doing.

I would not hesitate recommending Gonzalez Pools  to anyone who believe that they have work to do with their pool.   I bet they will be competitive or lower in price than anyone else...and they do superior work...with loads of positive recommendations from past clients.  They are without a doubt the best pool reconstruction or construction guys on Angie"s List in Los Angeles.
