  • Yoav is the owner and he took me through the whole process and explained budgets and timelines with tons of patience. He wanted me to be happy. Once the project got started, he was on site constantly and totally made me feel like I mattered, even though I knew he had other projects going on. The finished project was incredible. The house breathes in ways I never imagined and the flow is amazing. Turns out he went above and beyond, too. He painted the house, put in better-quality windows, and even advised on landscaping ideas. And he did it all on budget. HIRE THIS MAN!

  • After a year and a half of enjoying our first huge renovation with PRISTINE CONSTRUCTION, we realized it was time to beautify our home with their exquisite touch again. This time we focused on our daughter's room, which was just a room. Once again, Nathan came up with an incredible design which made her room into an elegant, hotel like, bedroom suite! French doors to our backyard with an amazing brick step down, double, walk-in closets and a to die for whimsical bathroom. Demolition, pouring of new extended foundation and framing started promptly on July 5th. Within a week and two days, the framing was done! Incredible! We love Andy's framing due to the devoted workers he sends. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC came next. Nathan spent personal time with us picking out plumbing fixtures, tile and flooring. What a Godsend he is. Mike was over practically every day checking on the details. The cabinetry whiz, Yone, specially designed our daughter's desk, bookshelf and bathroom cabinets and even added a special hair dryer plug inside one drawer! Pristine Construction worked on our project as if it was their own home. Never did we experience one headache, which in this day and time is rare! The incredible patience of Nathan and the detail-orientated kindness of Mike was much appreciated. Emma at the office gave us daily updates on scheduling in such a professional and sweet way. Our daughter was very much a part of the design of her room and she was speechless when it was finished. Leave it to say, she is the envy of all of her friends! There is only one more small area of our house that needs to be redone. You can know for sure that it will be PRISTINE CONSTRUCTION!

  • Pool contractors have a bad reputation in general. We've heard constant nightmare stories of delayed projects, undisclosed charges, hidden fees, dishonest subcontractors, shoddy workmanship, etc. Consequently my wife and I spent a couple years deciding exactly what we wanted in our backyard remodel while carefully vetting out the various bids we were getting from a very select group of contractors.
I cannot emphasize enough how happy we are in choosing Swan Pools West to do our project for us. Todd Lewis was a sincere pleasure to work with. He talks a lot, and so do I, so we certainly got all out bases covered when it came to what work needed to be done. When there were last minute changes that needed to be done, he made it happen. He was always on site at every major stage of the pool remodel to supervise the project. His employees and subcontractors were terrific, primarily his plumbing and concrete crews. Attention to detail and a constant flow of dialogue is so crucial for a project this big, and we are quite impressed over how smooth everything went.
The project was required ripping up and removing the old concrete deck and turf, new filter equipment, new saline filtration system, new plumbing, new electrical, pool heater, building in a hot spa into existing footprint (solid gunite), building a baja shelf into existing footprint (solid gunite), using mini pebble instead of plaster, concrete sanded coping, stamped concrete decking, drainage in deck, back planters, and side yard to lead to street, reversing yard gates to comply with city code, and building a fence around the equipment. The drains along the planters and side yard weren't even discussed. They just factored it in to the project by going the extra mile to make the project a success. Adding a quick fill valve line was also a nice feature that I didn't even think of that was factored in. The company is a true marriage of construction and design. Together, we collaborated on aesthetics like color schemes, stamped patterns, pebble tec and pool tile options, and lining the bottom step to be flush with the spa wall, among others.
Every stage of the project was completed in a timely fashion. We started construction in June and was in the pool by Labor Day weekend. It would have been sooner if it weren't for delays with another contractor on a door to window conversion we were also having done on a backyard facing wall.
Aside from solid communication, Todd was incredibly forthright and honest. He saved us money when we downsized our pool fence to better match our backyard aesthetic. He also helped us make the best choice for us regarding using a PDA for the pool equipment versus a smart phone controlled system. The same consideration was applied during our discussion regarding LED color lights versus normal pool lights (we opted for the latter less pricey option). He played an intricate part in choosing the 6" tile that goes around the pool, understanding the design look my wife and I were going for and steering us away from a more expensive yet less appealing look for us in the end that involved decorative tile.
Lastly, when problems arose like sharp concrete edges, chipped pieces of coping, lack of sanding on the equipment fence, some faulty putty work from the electrician when installing the proper fault line to out electrical panel, a broken sprinkler pipe, etc., Todd promptly addressed and rectified  all matters with professionalism that you wish all contractors would do.
As much as you want a contractor to guide you through a project, it is important for home owners to do their own due diligence and have that open honest dialogue with their contractor about options and worst case scenarios about matters like material choices. Pete is a master with concrete and placed expansion joints in all the right places. We do have some minor cracking in the concrete, but nothing that is egregious or unexpected. We also have expansive soil in our backyard and roots still present from very persistent carrotwood trees, so we knew that hairline cracking was a strong possibility.
With all things considered, this is a family business that understands that their name is attached to their business and that reputation is a valuable commodity that needs to be protected and upheld through solid workmanship. If you need a pool contractor, use these guys and ask for Todd.

  • Sol was punctual and very straightforward. He was very direct and forthcoming with any questions we had. He was also very responsive via email when we had further concerns and questions that needed to be addressed. Though we went with a different contractor, we would like to stress that Sol was professional and had a strong attention to detail, especially in his proposal.

  • The room turned out beautiful. There are recessed lights in the ceiling, plenty of outlets, a lovely vanity and sink and toilet in the bathroom. They matched the stucco to my existing house and even drywalled and put recessed lights in the garage down below. All of the workers were punctual and very nice people to deal with. They installed windows in the room and laid down a lovely wood floor. Asher, the contractor , was easy to reach when I had any questions. He is my dogs new favorite person.

  • Acid stained concrete needs to be resealed periodically. My concrete was stained over 10 years ago. I lost contact with the man who originally did the work so I called Balboa Brick for a recommendation because the concrete needed to be resealed. The. person whose name I was given assured me he was experienced and could do a great job. It was a disaster. He didn't turn the sprinklers of, he applied the sealer when it was over 80 degrees, etc. A picture is with a thousand words, I wish this site allowed me to post what the concrete looked like before Jeramy agreed to get involved - it was a nightmare. The concrete needed to be repaired, but I had no idea who to trust. My cousin suggested I try Angie's List. I did and if I had known to do that in the first place, the job would have been done perfectly the first time. Because of the ineptitude of the first sealer, a three day job turned into almost a 30 day job. The first person did such a horrible job that ultimately the sealer and minerals that had collected under the sealer because of the sprinklers had to be hand scraped. The repair was a labor intensive experience for Jeremy and his people. He didn't give up. Although it took longer than he originally anticipated, he did what it took to return the acid stain to it's original beauty. He resealed it with a sealer that does not become slippery when it is wet. We were so pleased we asked him to acid stain the fountain in the front, and acid stain and seal our driveway. The pictures of before and after are like night and day. Stained Concrete Originals and Jeremy Hapner are worth their weight in gold. I will be calling them again in a few years to reseal the concrete. I learned a valuable lesson - Angie's List is the first place I'll go when I need work done. Jeremy added value to the house by the work that he did and I am very appreciative of him and Angie's List!

  • I had used them before for my own house, but  not sure if they could drive all the way to Anaheim to fix my parent's driveway. They had no issue assigning a team to their place, after the work they did, I already knew a good job was expected. I gave the options to my parents, and they liked the ideas I pitched them. They did a simple driveway, nicely done and was stamped concrete.

  • We were going to with pavers or brick but after meeting with Randy and going over the benefits of using concrete we decided to use Impressive Concrete. Concrete last so much longer and requires little maintenance, people are amazed when I tell them it is concrete.
Impressive Concrete is truly impressive. Randy and his crew were great to work with. Very easy going and he cares more about quality work and his reputation then anything. I would recommend Impressive Concrete to anyone. They will get the job done right the first time.
Patio has saw cuts for expansion control.
Patio was pressure washed cleaned and sealed using high quality lacquer sealer.
Wire mesh was used for added strength.
All excess materials were removed and hauled away by Impressive Concrete leaving no trash behind.

  • My whole house needed to be remodeled. I had been researching sustainable energy solutions for my home. Apart from saving the earth, I really needed to reduce the cost of my utility bills. I also needed a lot more projects done to my home, so I needed to find a knowledgeable company that could do all the work including the energy upgrades. I found California Skyline Remodeling online, just by searching for home remodeling companies in my area. They were so many to choose from but what stood out about them is that they did everything! I continued to research them on various consumer review sites and I found that their customers were genuinely happy with the work they do. Everything went well, from the time of my estimate to the preparation all the way to completion. I had such a support team from my project manager, the owner, the workers and the office staff. Any time I had a question or needed something clarified, they were there. California Skyline is truly a diamond in the rough! I will recommend them to anyone.
