  • Horizon Construction and Remodeling designed and built us a beautiful open kitchen and expanded common room area. They opened and re-supported walls to give us the home of our dreams. WE LOVE THIS NEW SPACE!!! Our whole family can now enjoy being together in a gorgeous, modern, easy-to-work-in kitchen and family room. The materials and look are just what we imagined, helped by Mark Bezos’ excellent sense of design and leadership in advising the beautiful and functional in our budget. Another essential strength of Horizon’s business model is the detailed contract: each stage of the plan was clear, referenced in every new stage. We never paid for any work until that portion of the project was completed to our satisfaction. Mark ensured that we were pleased with every part of every job. Only after complete customer approval did Horizon ask for payment of that portion of the remodel. This integrity and attention to the contract provided peace of mind for my husband and me, knowing that Horizon--Mark and Enna and other team members--have solid integrity and a proven commitment to customer service. The communications were always clear and easy through the office run by Enna Eskins, with quick response times and continuous accessibility. The same is true of Mark. He responded to every text and call within minutes. We felt the honesty of the Horizon Team throughout the whole process.

  • Exceeded expectations. It changed the whole look of our house. The work was done perfectly and flawlessly. The ceiling was braced and fitted with a beam. It was plastered so well that you'd never know a wall had been there. The flooring also had to be repaired where the wall was originally and it was matched precisely and it also turned out perfect. The crown moulding had to been fixed and now looks better than it did. Even the ceilings were repainted: kitchen, dining room, and living room , so it all matched. The reason I hire Pier is that he is a perfectionist and meticulous. He is on time and always keeps you posted on what is going on and what is to follow. He is respectful of the house, too. He protects it from any work being done and it is always clean at the end of the day. On each project, he has found substandard workmanship from the original builders; whether it is plumbing, electrical, etc., instead of bypassing it, he fixes it.

  • Two electricians came out and worked very efficiently. I used a $179.00 coupon for labor. They stayed exactly for the hour. They moved the wall switch from one wall to another. Also they hung a new very efficient and nice looking florescent light fixture. (It looks nothing like the old florescent lights.) They also helped me and took down some old florescent ballasts we had . Very Happy with their service. (the additional fee was of course for parts)

  • Pier does everything which makes for a quality job. Our remodel uncovered some issues with the plumbing and electrical so instead of ignoring or working around them, he fixed everything and brought them up to code. He also fixed another contractor's shoddy job in another bathroom. He and Greg worked hard and long hours to get the job done, and as others have stated, Pier is a perfectionist and and it shows in the work that he does.

  • Nick is the perfect handyman! He and his associate, James, did an awesome job, were so easy to work with, and even helped with hanging the draperies! They knew exactly how things should be done, came with all of the right tools, and did the job quickly and perfectly.  I'm looking forward to working with them again on other projects.

  • It really was as good as it gets. I had a 240 volt sub-panel installed for my new electric car charger and for an air conditioner we are planning on installing. The work was done in an efficient, workmanship-like manner. they were neat and cleaned up after themselves. They were pleasant to deal with and answered my many questions during the job that were just based on my curiosity. I thought their charges were very fair, especially for the amount of work involved. I wouldn't think of using anyone else for my electrical work after my experience with Shore Break.

  • Professionally, our electrician John did a great job.  He showed up on time, was very courteous, and thoughtfully approached how to solve our odd problem.  He ended up solving it in a relatively short period by simply switching the two switches (one of which was a dimmer switch, and the other wasn't).
My only complaint was with respect to pricing.  I bought a 'big deal' from Comfort Electric, which gave me $249 worth of services for $79.  After having spent less than 30 minutes at my house and no materials, John indicated that the company charged $320 for 'troubleshooting'.  I accept responsibility for not having called to verify what the charge would be first before having them send an electrician out, BUT you don't have that opportunity prior to buying the deal.  So in essence, I have to hope that the $79 I am spending is a good deal based on how the company prices their services.  I've had many electricians out before, and NONE of them have charged me $320 for troubleshooting/investigation.  That is an astronomical fee for diagnostic services with no material outlay.  In essence, he is charging me $640 an hour for troubleshooting.
But again, was very happy with John and that he was able to solve my problem.

  • Chris Yant, licensed electrical contractor and owner of Pelican Electric, came to my home on Feb. 4 to review the scope of the work:  remove 3 fluorescent fixtures in the kitchen and install 4 recessed can lights, remove a ceiling fan in the dining room and replace with a recessed can light, remove 2 large hanging chandeliers and install recessed can lights in their place, removed 2 hall ceiling lights and install recessed can lights, remove bathroom track light and install recessed can light, and remove vanity light fixtures in 2 bathrooms and replace with new vanity light fixtures.    I then received an email from Mr. Yant detailing the work along with an estimate of the cost.  The estimate was for $1076 which included 12 hours of labor (spread over 2 days)  and $416 for materials for the can light fixtures and related miscellaneous electrical supplies.  (I supplied the 2 new vanity light fixtures.)  Mr. Yant was available to do the work the following week, however, my home would not be available until Feb. 23, so, the work was scheduled for Feb. 23 and 24.  Mr. Yant arrived on time both days and before beginning the work he put protective plastic and drop cloths over the surfaces to prevent damage to my home.  He promptly got to work and was efficient and meticulous and after each area was complete he asked me to review and approve the removal/installation before proceeding to the next area.  The final cost was $10 more than the original estimate because of additional materials for additional work which was that he also repaired and replaced the baffle on an existing crooked recessed can light over the kitchen sink.  The work was excellent and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

  • Claudio has been my go to electrician for over 5 years. He's exactly the type of contractor I like to work with:  a reliable owner / operator who performs the work himself and shows concern for all the little details to get the job done right.
He's sophisticated enough and has well-trained help to do the big jobs with precision, such as electrical for a kitchen remodel, replacing old aluminum wiring throughout our whole house, and many other jobs he's done for us over the years. But he's also available and is very responsive if we have a smaller need or quick fix.
His prices are also fair and reasonable.  Not the cheapest, but certainty much less than larger contractors and other price gougers out there.  And importantly, he's also a nice guy with a good attitude with roots and family right here in Huntington Beach.
Local electrician, highly responsive, on the ball.  Highly recommended!

  • Raymond and his crew were absolutely excellent. The house we are living in had been a rental property for nearly 20 years, so it required a lot of repairs and new electrical/lighting work. Raymond was very professional and fair in all of his initial estimates, and performed the work exactly as he had explained from the beginning. He was also very adaptable if there was anything I wanted done differently throughout the project.
We are a young couple with a 3 month-old baby in the house, and Raymond and his company were very accommodating when it came to scheduling around the baby's nap times. This was very helpful for us as new parents who aren't used to having construction done on their house yet.
Overall, I would day our experience with Raymond and Excellence Electric was extremely positive. We would have them back again to have more work done on our house in the future, and would highly recommend them to others looking for a talented, fair, and polite group of electricians and lighting specialists.
