We never paid for any work until that portion of the project was completed to our satisfaction. Mark ensured that we were pleased with every part of every job. Only after complete customer approval did Horizon ask for payment of that portion of the remodel.     He told me what was wrong and it needed a refrigerant. Then, he wanted to sell me something else because he said that there is a hole in there someplace so the refrigerant may leak out again next week. That was not true because my husband was in refrigeration and I knew it. I had him put the refrigerant in and it has been ever since. I do not know if that is something that they do all the time or whether he really believed that. I just had him put more refrigerant in. He was very pleasant. I was very happy with the work he did, but I did not care for him telling me that it might leak out the next week. It could have leaked out the next week, but I was not going to go ahead and have a bunch of work done if it did not need it. The quality of the work was fine. He did what he said he would and he put it in. They got to me very well so their responsiveness was fine.

    Phone calls were promptly returned if not answered when originally called. Work to be done was well explained. Crew of two doing the work over 2 days were always polite, cheerful and clean. Answered any questions that arose (from us and our neighbors) cheerfully and reviewed the operation of the system upon completion. Not a moment of concern during the whole changeover.

    The changeover was from a 17 year old system to a new quiet one with current noise restrictions in mind. Neighbors and in-laws had used Alpine previously and gave us great recommendations also. Both city and Leisure World inspections were passed without a hitch.

    They came out and they it looked over. They said I need a new heater and they gave me a bid for almost $7,000. I had it done completely even more they were gonna for $3500, so it was not a good deal. They were very punctual. I would not recommend that company.

    I would have scored them an "A" but the helper that was working with the experienced worker was his 1st day on the job. I had them comeback and do an inspection with fresh experienced eyes to make sure the job was done right which they did and it was.

    The company  responded quickly to the purchase and arranged an appointment at a convenient time 
    The technician arrived within 5 minutes of the appointed time. 
    The technician was courteous and professional, and deported himself in a manner that indicated experience and knowledge of A/C systems. 
    The technician expeditiously tested Freon pressures to determine level and compressors function. 
    The remainder of the visit was all visual inspection of the system.
    The technician did climb into the attic to view the ductwork.
    A major benefit of the "tune-up" was to introduce me to a company that had an A- rating which seems a candidate for replacing a lot of A/C and heating systems but the response issue noted below will direct me to others.
    Other than the basic measurements, there was no "tune-up" actions.  The Freon levels were 'low but acceptable'. No Freon was added; the "tune-up" package did not include the older type Freon needed.  The system did not perform any better afterward than before.
    The technician pointed out system problems without a hard sell, but, by the time we were done, I was asking for a quote on
    new furnace, new furnace plenum for the A/C system, new outdoor A/C unit, asbestos mitigation, duct work removal and replacement, and relocation of the main A/C return ducting.  In truth, the system is old and all of this may be needed; the technician had good rationale for each item.  The major problem is that I asked him to prepare a quotation for the work to be done in coming months.  I heard nothing further by phone or mail or email.  I called the office and found the technician no longer works there; I was referred to manager, who also has not contacted me, now 6 weeks since the appointment.  The inspection that was done would have been part of a "sales call", so the tune-up provided little or no benefit.

    Great! Friendly, courteous, and tidy. No paint chips or left over stuff to clean up. He explained everything and helped me understand my electrical grid, assuring me that when the time came, we could install a car charging station easily without needing a panel upgrade. He's popular, but he'll come as quickly as possible. Big or little job he's my new electrician!

    Overall the experience was pleasant.��I needed the air ducts in my two story home cleaned and I knew that eventually I would need a chimney sweep and a dryer vent cleaning too. ��I called numerous companies and found Red Hood Chimney gave me the best deal for all three services combined. They were very professional and punctual. They inspected both chimneys and were very honest. At no point did they try to scam or up sale me on other services and I appreciate that. He provided me with tips and recommendations on how to take care of the furnace and fireplace. The services took a couple hours and he explained how the equipment worked. I would recommend Red Hood to friends and family.��
