    The initial repair replacement of the walking belt was pricey -- about 40% of the cost of a NEW Sole F80 treadmill. If it had fixed the problem, I would not have minded. Fortunately, since it did not fix the problem, the Sears repair was still under warranty (90 days) Sears technician came out for the second visit, replaced the motor and controller at no charge. Had it not been under warranty, the total of the two visits would have exceeded the price of buying a new Sole F80. After about 1 month, the treadmill is working fine (with a new belt, motor and rebuilt controller). If it lasts a reasonable period of time, the repair will turn out to have been worth it. However, were it not for the fact that I was within the warranty period when the problem re-surfaced, the price for the repair would not have been worth the money required to fix it.

    The refrigerator is working fine now it was an easy switch out of the mother board.

    -They are very good about getting you a same day appointment if available.
    -Communication was good and they called before they came.
    -Had necessary part on hand so it was a one stop appointment
    CON's
    - Be prepared for 100% mark up on all parts.  We were charged $220 for a GE genuine mother board and my husband called GE and they would have sold it to us for $107.
    -Labor is charged as a flat rate $159.00  So, a 10 minute job cost us $159. I was told this was not negotiable.  I will be honest, had it been anything but my refrigerator, I would have said no thank you.

    I had investigated why my LG 25 French door unit had missing display elements, but could not get it apart despite having the LG Service Manual.   Online, others complained about how hard it was to repair, but no details.  I called Gary, who was nearby and committed arrival in 40 minutes; he arrived 5 minutes early.  He too was concerned about breaking the plastic parts so consulted his online references, and proceeded to pop it open in method very different than the factory manual without damage. Two likely causes: poor connector or bad board.  He spent 10 minutes working the connectors, removing the part, replacing it before we both agreed the board was the problem.  He replaced the unit in the frig, almost, leaving slightly open so I could easily pop it off and replace the board myself now that it was accessible.  He offered to check his source for price and availability, then call with that info so I could decide to have him order and install the part, or do it myself.  When I called him to have him come over, I asked the service charge and was told $50 since he was close; he waived that charge  Net was $0.  The person who referred me to Gary told the story of two older items that she called two repair persons, one quoted a price so high that new appliances were the better deal and the other never showed, but she also called Serviced Right Appliance Repair  who fixed both of her items for considerably less than just one in the first quote. I recommend you keep his number handy.

    Riddle Appliance and TV repair was contacted to help with the warranty replacement of the rubber apron in a front loading LG washer that had developed discoloration due to mold build-up, a common problem related to the material used in early front loading LG washers. In addition, they were to replace the plastic front panel of the unit as the plastic was disintegrating inside the soap dispensing drawer.
    It took several months for Riddle to get the part from LG and 2 trips out to the house before, to determine the machine make and model. Eventually the rubber apron was replaced. However, the front plastic panel that they brought to install was the incorrect type. They said they would need to re-order the panel and would come out to reinstall it when it arrived from the manufacturer. After a 6 weeks passed, we called to follow up on the replacement. They had not reordered the part and said they would need to schedule a time to come out again and get the make and model of the unit to ensure they ordered the correct part. They never came out. After several months passed they asked us to email them a picture of the front panel again which we did. Again there was no response for months.
    My final email to them in April, almost 1 year after starting this repair process, is attached below:
    Hi,
    I'm sorry Mr. xxxx, but we closed out the work order.  We did not get any help from LG on this at all.  In fact we had to pay for the parts that where wrong cause LG took so long we could not send back.  You need to call LG for assistance

We did finally get the rubber gasket that was discolored due to mold/mildew resolved however, the cracking that has developed in the front panel is an open issue and is unresolved. To refresh your memory, you did return to our home in Seal Beach to replace the front panel. However, once on site, you discovered that the panel did not have the correct number of cycle settings printed on the panel. It was not the correct panel. You indicated that you would return once the correct panel was received. We are still waiting on this panel and the final repair.
    Please provide an update on our washer repair.

    The repeated attempts to get the correct model of LG Washer, multiple visits to the house with incorrect parts, number of followup requests and the time out of our lives it took to deal with this would have been tolerable - unpleasant but tolerable - if the work would have finally been completed.

    I had an appointment for Thursday.  I ended up being home the day before and called and asked if there was anyway someone could come that day.  Debbie told me it would depend on how the morning appointments went.  She called me back and told me Woody would be able to come by.  Woody arrived, was incredibly pleasant, and quickly identified the issue.  He cleaned all the lint from the long vent from the dryer to outside the garage.  He was very careful not to make a mess or get things in the garage dusty, which was not easy.  He left virtually no mess.  My dryer is working great again.  Debbie was up front about the costs when I first contacted them and Woody worked diligently and didn't waste time, both of which I appreciated.

    I tried calling other repair services before Sears, and no one was able to work on my fridge, so I had to take it back to Sears.They came out and said they couldn't give me an estimate because it could be anywhere between $200-$500. They said the best thing to do would be to subscribe to the extended care plan for a year. They forced me to go into this extended warranty, and when the part came in, it took only 15 minutes.

    He is excellent and does a marvelous job. He really thinks about what will work with what you want. He gives you options and clear explanations about those different options.  He and his brother in law our excellent craftsman. My garage cabinets are better than my kitchen cabinets. I would highly recommend their services.

    When I called Debbie asked me all the right questions to help identify possible problems. She scheduled me for 9 to 11 today. At  8:30 Debbie called to say that the technician was on his way. Woody showed up at 9:00 am. He immediately started work on the oven, tested the glo bar in the oven and confirmed that it was burnt out. He had already brought a replacement part, replace it and fired up the stove immediately. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.  Took about half hour. I would  definitely recommend him to my friends and use them in the future.

    Water started leaking from underneath my washer which is an LG and about 2 1/2 years old. After calling Sears inquiring about their service call I decided to check for LG service repair on their website because I didn't want to wait 6 days for a Sears appointment. There were 4 in my area so then I went on Angie's List to see if they were there and they were. Actually it was two different companies that had locations in two different cities near me. I found a review for Reliable with an El Cajon location and it was an F. Since it was only one review and in a different city I decided to try the one near me.
    The repairman came here on time the next day and after checking it out and running a short cycle he could not find anything wrong. Since its a stackable unit he said that I had 30 days to honor the service call of $49.95 and not be charged for that again. He said to take a picture of it if it happens again and when I call he can get assistance with taking the dryer off and pulling the washer out. Its been 10 days and so far I have not had another problem.

    Woody is like your best uncle or brother coming over and fixing your appliance problem. He made my old washer new again for less than buying a new one altogether. He came over twice; first to diagnose and second to install the hard to find parts. I feel I gave him a $300 tip and he did the work for free when he left. I would use him anytime. His perfect high rating with Angie's List isn't by luck or chance but by the highest expected  performance and more!
