ARiptide Moving and DeliveryBrandon and the other guys were amazing. First let me say I had a little complicated move. I had items in storage that had to go to 2 apartments and some had to stay in storage. They showed up ON TIME, which is so important. They worked fast but took care of my items and took direction well (I had to tell them which items when in storage and which went to each apartment). They were pleasant and friendly the entire time but didn't miss a beat, they worked continuously. The only surprise was I asked for 3 guys but 4 and 2 trucks showed up. Although It cost more per hour, this was actually SO much better, they go me done in 3 hours LESS then the other company that put me in storage!! And they packed the truck so much better. They only needed 1 truck, but they wanted to be safe, based on my description of the storage unit size. That actually saved me money! I would use these guys again in a heart beat (in fact I will be, I need a bunch of boxes taken back to storage, my new apt is too small, and I will be calling Riptide for the job!)- Angela M.

AAwesome company!! I hired Magic Moving & Storage to move from high rise in San Francisco to antioch. They were very easy to work with , extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They packed my fragile pics, lamps, tv and wrapped everything in blankets. The movers were uniformed friendly careful and experienced. Very impressive! Very happy, thanks guys!! AThe moving service went smoothly although one dining room chair was damaged during the move. MSJ movers were notified of the issue and the item was promptly repaired per contract agreement. All aspects of the move were handled in a prompt and timely manner. Initially, I was concerned about the handling of the damaged property, but since that issue was handled to our satisfaction, I am revising my review and would like to withdraw the original review on 10/30/20.

AI have moved twice with NorthStar Movers: once from LA to Irvine and once within Irvine. I was super happy that we used NorthStar in both cases. The movers were efficient, careful and polite. Nothing got damaged during either move, and moving day was stress free. Ron Cohen was our estimator for the moves, and he gave us good advice about where we could sensibly save money in preparing for moving day and what things were best left to the movers. After our first move with NorthStar, I was pleasantly surprised by the final bill as we had gotten estimates from other companies that were significantly higher.

FDidn't go well. I get that I'm moving during the holidays and that time of the year is chaotic; but I booked on Nov 17 for Dec 19. Paid my deposit and waited. No movers arrived on the 19th. Sent many messages (both text and FB messenger), phone "in box" was not set up, and continued waiting for the movers to arrive at 0900. Finally at 1045, I finally got a text message that there was a mix up on his part. We rescheduled for Monday at 0930, he confirmed the appointment at 1900 on Sunday. They never showed. Very disappointed, they had good reviews here, but lack of communication was horrible. I was able to schedule another mover. Will see if I get my deposit back.
