    First let me say, we contacted A+ Appliances directly on their website prior to writing this review to allow them to correct the situation. We have had no response. We are very disappointed in our experience with A+ Appliances on Saturday, September 16th. Erik arrived on time to diagnose the problem with our washing machine and gave us a quote of $250 for the part (a transmission) and $110 for the labor to install it. After Erik left, we were able to find the part for $175 (43% less). We spoke with Erik and said we didn't expect A+ Appliance to warranty the part if we purchased it, but we would like him to install it. He checked with his manager/supervisor and said the labor would go up to $150 and would not honor the $20 Angie's List coupon. We don't understand the increase in labor cost. It seems coincidental that the increase was the same $40 amount of the "free" service call which he collected at the time he came out. We requested to speak with the owner to clarify this issue and never received a return call from the owner. They state they are fully licensed yet there is no State License Number listed on their website, their repair estimate paperwork, nor on the website which licenses them. We had another repair person come out and tell us he thought it might just be the Ultra Durable 285753A Motor Coupling that was $7.49 on Amazon. He came back last night and installed that part and now the washer works beautifully. We apparently didn't need the $250 transmission Erik said we needed. While it could have been an error on his part, with the way they handled our situation overall, we question the honesty and integrity of their business practices and requested a refund of our $40. To date, we have had no reply. To summarize: They charged $40 for an incorrect diagnoses, the part was quoted 43% higher, it was the wrong part, they increased the labor quote to install it by $40, they would not honor the $20 off Angie's List coupon (which specified no limitations or conditions for using it) and they did not respond to our request on their website. They state that "satisfaction is fully guaranteed." Well, I am not at all satisfied.


    When a mistake is made, the integrity of a company is determined by how they handle that mistake. After 18 emails back and forth, sending them a copy of an invoice to confirm the correct part, the labor, and that the washer was now working properly, they finally stepped up and did the right thing. They refunded the service call fee.

    Easy to make online appointment and I was called promptly next business day to confirm time and get more details about the repair needed. The person was very nice and when I mentioned I would prefer they come early in the 2 hour time frame, it was not a problem. Yuriy arrived on time and was very nice and professional. He quickly figured out the wrong ice maker had been installed and was able to get the correct one and install it super quick. The ice maker is working great and I would definitely hire again.

    Jason defrosted and replaced thermostat. Still didn't work. Needed to replace fan also. He came back later in the day and replaced the fan and it still didn't work. Told me about other repairs that would be needed, told me it wasn't worth it and to buy a new fridge since there were great deals now with the holidays (so I did)! He only ended up charging me for the service call because he wasn't able to fix it with the work he did complete. I would contact them again for any major appliance repair work.

    The repair professional from Premiere Appliance arrived as scheduled and based on his diagnostic made the same determination of the problem as I found on YouTube (faulty magnetron). The technician was presented with the Angie's List coupon for this business as found in my monthly magazine (for the San Diego area). The coupon provided for a FREE service call with repair and $35.00 off any repair. The technician ordered the required parts and was back two days later to provide the repair. The microwave is up and running good as new. My only real complaint is that the coupon is relatively useless when the parts prices are inflated nearly 100%. I can understand a 20-25% bump, but really, doubling the price? Anyway, the microwave is once again functional and, were it not for the highly inflated parts prices, I would likely have graded an A. This company provides good service, however, it does come at a premium (or should I say "Premiere") price!

    L & L Appliance Repair

    L & L Appliance Repair came out to my place at a moments notice.  I called in the morning and the technician expressed to me it was going to be tough to schedule me but he would make it work. An hour later he called and said he would be there early afternoon to take of the draining issue with my Samsung washer. The technician showed up ready to work, he inspected my washer and was certain it was the drain pump. He gave me a quote for the repair which was a lot lower than I had anticipated.  The technician went out to his truck and came back with the part needed for the repair. This was the first time I have ever used this company and it was the first I felt a service provider cared about me as the consumer.  He also shared with me so technical information on how to keep my washer longer.  I would recommend this Company to anyone.

    I had a problem with my dryer, wasn't heating up, I was told it was the dryer vent hose that needed to be cleaned. So, after shelling out $99 for that, we discovered that it STILL wasn't heating up. So, I checked Angie's List, found a local repair place, the person on the other end was VERY nice. He handled my hysteria very politely, assured me they could help & said someone would be out between 11-1 p.m. Well, they arrived at 11:40 & were gone was so refreshing to have someone respond, calm me down, & then actually do the job! No, it's not free, but it was less expensive than the dealer would have been!!! No upselling, no scolding me for this or that, they just diagnosed it, told me what was being done, did it & POOF! Like magic, I have a working dryer!

    Premier Appliance Repair

    Premier Appliance sent Daniel to fix our failing kitchen refrigerator.  After setting a Saturday appointment (no extra charges for a Saturday) Daniel called before he arrived, and knocked on our door at the appointed time.  He diagnosed the problem quickly and but had to pick up the parts from a location 30 miles away.  Later in the day he returned and installed the appropriate part.

    We discovered that evening that the refrigerator was still not working and began thinking the we would surly need to buy a new refrigerator. Daniel called to check on the refrigerator and assured us he would return Monday morning which he did with the parts he needed.  He discovered that the original failure caused two other parts to fail, but he had the appropriate parts, installed them quickly and left us with smiles on our face.  Daniel is a very pleasant and competent man - AND he saved us from having to buy a new refrigerator. 

    Thanks again Daniel!  If ever we need an appliance repair we will ask for you.

    The Repairman did not have the Water Pump with him as he had used one the previous day.  He went and got another and within 20 minuets of returning, I have a fully functioning Clothes Washer!

    Total costs: 

    $115.95 for the Pump.  $110 Labor (plus $10.75 Tax of course) = $236.70.
