Dr. Adema is my primary care physician. My wife and I visited him probably thirty days ago.

He is very personable and likable. He seems to have genuine concern for my situation. He gives me confidence to keep up with my particular situation well in hand. My experience is totally different than my wife. My wife is a very needy person and has a lot of medical issues. His office operates in a slow way. It’s absolutely fine with me but not for my wife. Their office hours are more limited. He takes off on Friday and Wednesday. Other days it works only till 4:00. So it becomes difficult if you need them after those hours. It’s a nice atmosphere in the office and confident chairs are there. When it comes to meeting medical needs, it hasn’t worked for my wife. I would prefer if they have more working hours. I’m very happy with him. I would use him in the future.

General medical care for entire family, including infant who is now a child.

I was referred to him as I'm a non-vaxer as he is supportive of this stance. He is an Osteopath, so he looks for the natural remedy to all issues and seems to only turn to medicine if lifestyle changes are not enough. He has a fantastic personality and my daughter LOVES him. He is often late and he does make you come in for lab results that could easily be told over the phone, but having a doctor with the same stance on health makes it worthwhile.

Family physician for all our family members.

Nice holistic approach. Encourages healthy living, and looks very healthy himself. We were a little put off by the number of times we had to have tests done, and then go in for follow-up consultations to tests. Especially because the wait times were invariably long and the information we got in the office could have been conveyed over the phone. Would have preferred phone calls or emails from him for the follow-ups. Felt his diagnosis and recommendation of meds for one family member was off by quite a bit. This family member had a bad reaction to the meds and it didn't seem like he understood that. He recommended they continue on the meds, but this turned out to be a bad call. He once ordered the wrong kind of blood test, so we had to get it done over again. He also referred us to a specialist within the San Diego Physician's network that turned out to be a monster. After that, things didn't feel quite right, so we switched to a new doctor. It seems he could be a really great doctor if he wasn't so busy. It appears as though he has way too many patients and not enough office hours. Maybe needs a good partner.
