    MacKillop Construction
MacKillop Construction goes the extra mile to satisfy. The crew and Jim are the definition of professional. The crew was in my house on a regular basis and often times unattended. I did not worry because they have all worked together for years. They are loyal to Jim and Jim is very loyal to them. I love working with a company that treats their employees fairly and with respect. From scheduling, to unexpected obstacles, and cleanup I could not have imagined a better experience in working with a company for remodeling. Definitely professional and quick. We loved the work quality. We would recommend to anyone. This is the company to go with.

    Bathroom Pros Inc
If you need an affordable, high quality bathroom remodel done FAST by a family run business you can trust, then Bathroom Pros can help you. I have 1930 2br/1ba cottage, and couldn't afford to be without a bathroom for more than a couple days. They worked with me to stay in my budget. I am very happy with the results. They gutted the shower and floor down to the studs the first day, and rebuilt the 2nd day, finished it the 3rd day. I got a new floor, shower stall, bathtub and window. They repaired some dry wall issues, and also installed a vanity, light fixture, and new plumbing fixtures.

Chuck is extremely professional and is able to tackle just about any job. He clearly has a wide range of skills and is excellent at figuring out how to solve problems. Chuck is very conscientious, and I appreciate his attention to detail. I was impressed with the quality of Chuck's work and would hire him again without question.

    MacKillop Construction
He came out to my house a few times but would never give me a bid until last min. and it was really high and that was with me scrambeling to get materials myself... very frustrating! Quoted $2500 to install floor i had an amazing tile guy install foer $700!!! Also felt like my job was just small for him... to make a lot of extra money when he had spare time!!

    Coastal View Construction LLC
It went great. Eric was a pleasure to work with. It was finished on time and Eric did a great job. It is beautiful now. He was able to give me the best condo ever. He has great ideas and is meticulous about his work. He keeps an eye on expenses. I would trust him any time. If I ever need anything I know he can do it and do it well.

After a few guys came over and gave their prices, we decided on Chuck because he had the most professional and friendly manner of them all. He did a fantastic job, arriving on time and cheerfully tackling even the most challenging parts of our little projects. He was also willing to negotiate, making his top-quality services very affordable for us. We would recommend him to anyone!

    Re-Bath By Schicker
At first I thought it was overly expensive, but it is so gorgeous, and the work was done so quickly that I'm not bothered by the cost any more. I had gone online to try to assess the general cost and found that as bathrooms go, it wasn't out of line. Ryann, the project leader, was so professional, respectful, and nice! A true gem!

    JOHN'S FURNITURE & CABINETS
Several doors of the cabinets are lopsided because furniture maker over cut the holes for where the hinges hang. Also over cut opening for electrical outlet; was not careful in overall workmanship. Unfortunate that workmanship was hasty. I can not recommend this furniture maker.

    Re-Bath By Schicker
Overall it was ok. But I dont feel it was $38000 ok!.
    1) The contractor used ( Re-bath by Schicker uses in house contractors) were from Concord CA so had to commute to and from worksite. We are about 2- 2 1/2 hrs from concord. They would arive around 930am-10am work till noon take a 1/2 hr lunch work till 2 - 230pm and then call it a day. SO they were doing 3 1/2 - 4 1/2hrs of work but I was being billed for 8hrs. They were including the drive time to and from the site as onsite work hrs.

    2) During the final estimite the estimater? showed us an estimite running $700 more then then the original. Come to find out he never looked at original and added in electical work that was part of original estimite.

    3) Several times during the construction I had to ask about one thing or another he was supposed to do. (handicap railing, shower wand and a couple others) Was told it wasnt on the work order so he would have to call the office and may be an extra charge. After the call he said we were right they forgot to add it to the work order each time I asked.

    4) What was supposed to take 1 week took over 3.( just for the construction part)

    5) Had a couple of *** moments. Example, we replaced a corner shower for a full length wall to wall shower. Tile to the celing ( well we thought it was tile when we ordered it). There was a window on one of the walls that would interfere with the tiling. Was told it might be a problem but they would work around it. When I went in to look at it, the tile was not tile but large sheets of plastic made to look like tile (like you would see in a hotel/motel) there solution for the window? Put the tile wall up and cover up 1/2 of the window!!! When I told the worker no FN way they better fix it he said he would have to call the office. They redid it but while it is alot better we are still not happy with the way it looks. (the shower door wall trim goes over the window. The window should have been moved or the shower door should have been cut to fit under the window. (IMO)

    6) We laid real hardwood floors in the new closet and bedroom ( completly different contractor). While doing this we discoverd that the new wall they bult was not straight (square) but at a slight angle making it real hard to lay flooring.

    7) When the painter/Mudder shows up the next week (not the same guys Thank goodness) he does the mudding.
Just a word about the painter he showed up almost everyday around 830am and never left before 4pm somtimes not till after 5pm. He walked me through everystep he was doing and why he was doing it. He retectured 2 walls that were not replaced to match what he was doing.
This guy IMO was a true professional and seemed to know what he was doing. I give him high praise and coodos for the job he did.
He is the ONLY reason I did not mark this review all F's

While mudding he show us a few things about the walls
7a) There is a bow in the wall that he is unable to smooth out. Now that we know that it is very noticable.
7b) The baseboard in the bathroom is not completley along the floor. There is a 1/2' gap between the bottom of the baseboard and the floor in one corner ( like the floor is bowed)
7c) Several places that should have been sheet rocked and mudded by the first crew were left for him to do.

I WOULDNOT recomend this company to anyone. I feel I paid a 5 star price for a 2 star job. About the only thing I liked (besides the painter) was the fact the materials used have a lifetime warranty.

While I blasted this company with a review and while my wife and I still feel the job was way overpriced, They have contacted us and have sent one of the head guys out to look into our problems. He stated that they would send someone out next week to fix all the problems we showed him. Now just FYI the stuff needed fixing is all little stuff and cometic as explained above. He was very friendly and understanding. Now if it all gets fixed right my wife and I can be happy with it. But they seem to be putting out a real effert to make it right.
