Concrete Repair reviews in Santa Rosa

Failed to show as agreed, rescheduled. Had incorrect address for second appointment. Was rude upon arrival, treated us like we couldnt afford the job. Refused to provide a bid until we agreed to his fees?! Isnt that what the bid is intended to accomplish? Appalled at the unprofessionalism start to finish. They should have paid me to waste my time.

Joe and Son (Joey), did a great job constructing a concrete pathway to my front door. This father/son duo were very personable and paid great attention to detail. Their slogan is, ?No job too small?. The larger concrete companies didn't feel my small project was worth their while. So, they either over bid the project or couldn't get to it for a couple of months. Joe gave me a reasonable bid and started work within a couple of days. Larger companies with employees have a much higher overhead than a father/son outfit.
That's how Joe and Joey can run a quality business on smaller projects. Thanks Joe for a job well done!

We have a long, skinny rural property with a sports court at the back. One of the winter storms uprooted several trees, one of which damaged the concrete apron of the sports court. We called Bay Area Grading and Pavinfg and the owner, Shawn, came out to the property to look at the damage. Since the damage involved several trees, he indicated that he could also include tree removal in his estimate. He committed to have any estimate for us by the close of business the following day. That was the last time we had any communication from him. Because their aren't many concrete repair firms in the area, and because we prefer to deal with Angie's List businesses, we have repeatedly tried to speak to Shawn and he was always on another line or not available. We are baffled. It is our hope that nothing bad has happened to him, or to his business. Buy we also wish that someone would explain to us why we haven't heard from him or soameone else in his business.

We had hoped the original concrete finish would remain attractive. However once dry, the color was bleak. We lived with it but were very unhappy. We heard about IFIXCONCRETE and met with the owner to see the variety of finishes and colors. The ideas he provided enabled us to feel confidant trying the presented solution. We were more than pleasantly surprised with the finished product and the time it took to get the job done. The patio looked great and has held up extremely well through time and washes. We absolutely recommend IFIXCONCRETE for anyone needing concrete work refinished to look appealing and be durable.|

I had him come back and redo an area that was not good. He said it would last for a long time - it did not last at all!! and I have not been able to reach him at all. His mail box has been full!! Also some friends have had the same experience.

    He started on March 1.

He poured our foundation crooked and blamed it on the cement truck.  He said the truck hit it, which would have pushed it away from the truck, but it was actually crooked toward the truck.  My brother in law is a retired contractor and showed him how to fix it.

He soon said he needed more money for the truck, apparently he had used some of our down payment for his house payment.

The cement truck damaged the driveway.  When he tore out the porch, he tore out part of the driveway and the entire walkway.  They now need to be patched and remade, which cost more.  He continued on and poured a new front porch for us.  It sloped, so we needed to buy flagstones to correct it.

At one point he called us about how we wanted to design ceiling.  When we checked, we saw that he had built the wall upside-down.

We flooded up to 3 feet standing water in our living room several times.  The problem was that the seal was improperly installed.  This caused our tiles to become discolored.  This eventually ended with our interior ceiling sheet rock crashing down.  All he asked when we called was if we wanted help cleaning up.

At another time, when we returned, we saw that someone had cut the structural beam the wrong way, so we needed to pay an engineer to find a way to support the weight without putting a post in the middle of the living room

Another time, they dropped something on the pallet stove and never told us, we had to find out for ourselves when we got home.

When he got the new sheet rock, they stored the rock in the living rooms and starting to cut them there, making everything filthy.  The contractors themselves later suggested that we get paper and visqueen to cover up our things and our tile.

The next day we came home, we saw that some workers had been putting poop-covered toilet paper mounded dup in our trash can.  This kept happening until we put up a sign in spanish to flush the toilet paper.

When they left, the house was an unbelievable mess.  He left us without hiring an interior painter since he was off to work on a friend's house.  We had to paint inside ourselves.

We finally got him to come back to instal the doors and put in the baseboards, in the end, however, he did not caulk or paint them.  He never completed the permanent staircase, the hardwood floor, or the carpet.  He never had a cleaning crew take care of the mess, so I had to do all of the construction cleaning by myself.

In the end he gave us a letter with a lot of lies, saying things like he thought we were just being nice in doing all this work .  He kept lying when he made a mistake and would always try to cover himself.

When he came to close the project he asked for a draw for the painter, trim, lumber and garage door.  When the garage door came, he asked for more money because he said he was out of money.  It ends up that he had kept lying about what he was paying for.

We finally closed the account on the suggestion of the lumber company, Mead Clark.

He was not here for the final inspection.  The permit man asked where our contractor was, so my husband said he had abandoned the job long ago.

Tri County did an excellent job! They were able to schedule us on the fly and squeeze us in between jobs. We contacted 2 other companies that were unable/unwilling to get us in same day. Diego was on time even though the concrete mixer was late, we actually delayed him and made him late to this 3rd job but he never complained and was very courteous. You can tell Nicole(owner) takes great pride in her business and it shows with their customer service. We try and use local businesses as much as possible and are happy we were able to find another local business we can add to our book. Thanks again Tri County for saving our butts and getting the job done!

Tony Merla produces a good product with his concrete overlay system but his customer service and follow-up maintenance are non-existent. At the time he completed my job he acknowledged that there were two areas that were chipped and he said he would be back "next week" to repair them. Unfortunately, I paid him in full and I haven't seen him since. That was 2 1/2 years ago. I have called repeatedly and he has told me he would call in a few days to make an appointment and he has never called. I did make phone contact with him several months ago as it is time for the area to be cleaned and re-sealed and he said that it's a small job and will be really expensive and he has not set an appointment with me. He does not return phone calls. I definitely would NOT recommend this company. There are other contractors in the Santa Rosa area who use the same products ( from Allied Building Products) and have better reputations.

The project went very well from start to finish. Ron went out the day after our call to begin preparations for installing the sidewalk on the following day. The cement work was carefully done to have the water run off correctly and into the catch drain. After the cement set-up overnight, they returned the next day to remove the forms. We were very pleased with his timeliness and good work ethic.
