Chiropractor reviews in Santa Rosa

I was new to Bloomington and hadn't established a relationship with a chiropractor. I called about ten practitioners and Dr. Mobley was the only one that worked to fit me in. He spent a few minutes before jumping in asking me about my experience with chiropractors and which approach I would be comfortable with. I was impressed that he asked; it is indicative of his respectful approach to his patients. (He also has a great sense of humor, by the way!) Most importantly: he is a great chiropractor who fixes the problem and works with you to create a treatment plan that you're comfortable with. I never felt any kind of pressured upsell at all. He also helped my daughter with some entrenched physical issues after only a few visits. I highly recommend Dr. Mobley and his caring staff.

He's more interested in getting me to maintain my back health than he is in having me come in for multiple appointments. I guess his aim is to keep me in good shape and teach me how to take care of myself so I don't have to be constantly going in for adjustments. He's a knowledge-based type provider, somebody who wants me to take charge of my own health and he provides me with the tools to do that. The staff is very friendly. There is one office person, Doris, and she's a very nice person.

I used Angie's List to find a well-recommended chiropractor close to where I live. Dr. Mordecai's office is still further than where I'd like to commute, but the high recommendations convinced me to try him out. His office offered me a same day appointment.
I arrived on time for my appointment and spent a few minutes completing a basic form about who I was and insurance information (I'm a cash patient). I'm still surprised that I was never asked to complete a more thorough set of forms that include medical history related to my chiropractic needs plus medications I was on. After completing the forms I had to wait several minutes before being called into an exam room, and had to wait even longer before the doctor showed up.
Dr. Mordecai is a very nice guy and of a high energy level. He did a basic examination and adjusted me. He's quite strong (ex-NFL player) and I could tell when he adjusted me he was accustomed to adjusting people of size. I'm quite small and felt that he was too rough on me. His first area to manipulate was to raise my legs individually over my head way far to the point where it really, really hurt. When he rolled me over on my side to the edge of the table I was afraid that I'd fall off the table, it was that close. I'm not young any longer and it worried me that I could break a bone should that happen.
Having been to chiropractors for the last 30 years of my life I think that I have enough experience to know what to expect. Thus I was surprised at my followup two visits with the doctor the process his staff uses before I actually saw the doctor. The last time I visited my shoulder was very sore and needed manipulation. The office staff called me in first, put me down on the table, and applied electrodes to my lower back, as they'd done all previous visits. I'd never visited a chiropractor in my entire life before that didn't see me first before telling the office staff what treatment I needed. In all my visits they didn't once apply heat, ice, or a massager. It was always the electrodes first, followed by a very quick adjustment with the doctor.
Be aware that the walls are very thin at Dr. Mordecai's office. One visit while I was waiting I could hear every word between the doctor and the patient next door. Be careful what you say, knowing that the guy next door might be able to hear everything.
After the last visit I decided that I shouldn't have to be afraid to visit my chiropractor, because of roughness or fear of falling off t
he table. I've found another chiropractor in the area that my neighbor recommended, and will go there instead.

He does adjustments, and uses more force than some others do, which I like.

He also provides tips on how to stand, how to drive a car, etc. My husband has also gone to him and likes him very much.

I would recommend him. He is very thorough. He explains everything to you. I have been to other chiropractor’s and his manner and professionalism are top rate. He tells you how to change your lifestyle and how to protect yourself. He tells you about things to do and not to do. He definitely wants you to get well. I’m really impressed with him. He tries different methods before putting his hands on you. He uses last method of adjustment. You are not in pain. I would use him in the future.

Dr Hartman is very upfront and tells you what he can do for you. He tells you what he is doing and talks to you which is very important for me. He has really helped me a lot with the pain caused by spinal sinosis. He is very thorough and reviewed my MRI's prior to working on me. He gives me at home therapies to improve my mobility. He is doing a great job and I am feeling better.

He was really good. After he looked at my foot, he said that I should go for x-rays and it turned out that I had broken a bone. If he hadn?t made that recommendation, I would probably be walking around and it could have gotten worse, so it was really good that he did that. I got a boot because of that and immobilized it and was careful. When I had an adjustment, it did not hurt, but it was sore the next day. It is really nice that it doesn?t hurt, because I am afraid of having my bones crunched. I would recommend him to everyone and I am an acupuncturist and I send my patients to him. He is very, very busy, but I think it is easy to get in. I go to his practice at 8:30 in the morning and if they have room, they put me in the schedule right away, but if they haven?t, they tend to make room. They are terribly helpful. He doesn?t try to sell me anything and is just a really neat guy. His office environment is perfectly alright, but some people may not like it because every room has three tables in it. Some people don?t like being treated where other people can see them, so he does have another room that has a table that is off to the side. That is not an issue for me. I have waited maybe 10 minutes on my appointment. His staff is very nice and one of them is his wife and she is there two or three days and someone else is there most of the time. Cindy is really a neat lady too. He is a sports freak, so he relates really well with men, but is really nice with the women too. Everybody seems to love him. His treatment is really effective and I am an old lady, but I need only one adjustment and I am fine in a day or two.

He is very good. I rate him high overall. My mother has a very conservative approach and she told me that if my sister had gone with Dr. Metz she would have been alive today. We could not have found anybody better. He made a special supplement for my sister with specific herbs.

Fantastic, friendly, effective treatment! He was recommended to me by 6 of my co-workers and I would refer anyone to him, he's a great doctor! He also takes all insurances! I have Kaiser and he even took that!
