    StrongHarte Fitness
Other physical therapists with whom I had worked focused on my foot, whereas Sam explained that not only did my foot need therapy but that full healing would come with improved strength and fitness in my glutes and core muscles. Sam is outstanding with hands-on physical therapy and also gave me exercises to do at home to help with my recovery. As my foot condition improved we were able to transition from PT to strength and conditioning sessions and I now meet with her 3 times/week. My foot no longer hurts and I have been able to resume walking for exercise and my energy level is higher than it has been in years!!
I have praised her so much to family and friends that now my boyfriend, my daughter and son-in-law are now working with her, too.

    Zickuhr, Dr. Keri R.
I went to see Dr. Zickuhr as a second opinion. I am a runner and have a lot of pain in my foot. Unlike the first doctor I went to, she really sat down and listened to what I had to say. She took the time to explain to me that I most likely had a stress fracture in my foot. I decided to get an MRI and she was right. I wore a boot for 5 weeks and the stress fracture has since healed and I don't have any more pain. I really appreciated that she did not blow me off like the first doctor and found out what my problem was. I have recommended her to several of my friends who all have similar experience with her. She is a great doctor!

    Physical TherapyWorks
I got them through my doctor and they are unbelievably good. They deserve top rating because I have had some issues with mishaps and broken things and I just had to have therapy for bad knees and things and they are really good. Most physical therapy offices have fairly high and regular turnover but they do not and they are really very caring. The owner is unbelievable. They are helping me and I had therapy for 2 years on my foot. This is a third month and third therapy company and these are the first ones that are actually helping. Their therapists are very professional and very knowledgeable and the best that I have encountered. Everybody is very friendly and really cares a lot.

    Czubakowski, Dr. Alexander
I had been dealing with pain ranging from occasional soreness to much worse during my late 20's probably due to heavy participation in tennis and weight lifting. Fortunately I met Dr. Alex while working out at my gym and after describing my symptoms to him as what I considered to be unavoidable side effects of sports and hard exercise he asked me to come in for x-rays. In short, his style of treatment (I was unfamiliar with chiropractic when I started) alleviated my back pain early on and has helped me to feel good ever since. I still come in occasionally for a visit, but mostly just to say hello.

    California Animal Rehabilitation
Despite Maggie's misfortunes, CARE became one of her favorite places to visit (and still is). The staff, especially the doctors, are tremendously friendly. They always knew what was going on with Maggie and were very in tune with her needs and how she was feeling. They helped us understand what Maggie needed and helped her live the life of a normal, happy dog.
During one of her acupuncture sessions, the acupuncurist noticed Maggie's heart racing irregularly, and they made sure to get her to the veterinary hospital right away. The vet said Maggie was lucky she got there when she did! You can imagine how thankful we were and continue to be to CARE for everything they have done.
Now Maggie is still struggling with a hearth arrythmea, which was caused by the onset of her disease, but you wouldn't know any of this by looking at her. Besides her wobbling walk, her tail wags like no other and she goes about her life like nothing happened (with a few restrictions of course). It's thanks to CARE, especially the amazing Dr. Oxford, that this was the result.

    Barbara Kagan Physical Therapy
For several years I had chronic neck pain that severely limited my ability to turn my head to one side.  My GP finally recommended Barbara Kagan, a Physical Therapist in Santa Monica.  Within two months of exercises, massages and TLC, my range of motion increased by at least 300% and the pain had subsided considerably.  I have continued the exercises at home for about a year, and my neck problem continues to improve.  I have gone back to Barbara for a sciatic problem, which again she helped me with.  In addition to her knowledge and technical ability, Barbara also has a very positive personality that puts you at ease and instills a sense of confidence and trust in her.  I am now back to exercising regularly at my gym, and that's something I would never have even considered before I went to Barbara.   I would unreservedly recommend Ms. Kagan for anyone requiring the services of a Physical Therapist.

    Gray, Erik J.
Erik is great! He has helped me on a few occasions with lower back and shoulder issues. He has a passion for his work, and is very well educated on the anatomy and mechanics of the muscular/skeletal system. He takes his work as a therapist and healer very seriously. I'm an athlete, and the last time I went to him with a mysterious shoulder injury, he spent long time with me helping to diagnose the problem. He then drew out a diagram of the affected areas and gave me notes to take to my orthopedist. He even checked up on me a few times after he treated me, to see how I was doing. He is an expert in his field, and I'd recommend him to anyone!

    Rehabnet Outpatient Center
No one seems to be happy at this office. You know it is bad when your physical therapist is complaining about his/her work environment to the patient. This is not only inappropriate but unprofessional. The equipment is often outdated or falling apart. The therapists divide their time with two patients so there is lots of down time sitting around waiting to be told what to do while they help another patient. The therapists themselves are pretty decent, but the facility and management are terrible.

    Plonka, Derek
I've had ongoing physical therapy for a variety of issues and injuries, each lasting approximately a six week period. There was nothing routine about the treatment, each session addressed the particular problem and dealt with it to promote healing and or improvement in the condition. This physical therapist has extensive experience in treating hip and knee inuries, back pain, shoulder pain, and hip replacement patients. He is also a student of oriental/Chinese medical practices and combines Western methods with Eastern ones, with very good results. You can go in for treatment in great pain, and come out relieved even if it's temporary, it helps a great deal. There are physical therapists who know techniques but this particular therapist knows the "art of healing."

They do the exercises with you, but also show you how to do them so you can go home and do them on your own. I was impressed that the exercises and the apparatus you use to do them were so simple. It was a very successful experience and all the personnel were very nice. We used first names with the employees and I worked with Angela. She was very good and attentive. She was friendly and conversational, but not overly chatty while I was trying to do exercises. She always greeted me with a smile and was very pleasant. She was very personable and professional. The environment is very simple and clean which I prefer. I would definitely use them again in the future.
