    Doheny Concrete Construction Inc
Shay was wonderful to work with. He was diligent, courteous and professional. His workers were hard working and very nice. The job he did was exactly as he told me it would be and it turned out great. He was always on time and had a good attitude. I would definitely hire Shay and his team again for other jobs.

    Anchorstrong Construction, Inc.
This was an all-around excellent experience.  We have an old (1926) Spanish house and lost the chimney in the Northridge earthquake so retrofitting has been on my wish-list ever since.  I am very happy to have found Anchorstrong Construction.  Zachary, the owner, really knows how to run a business.  They were always punctual, polite and focused on doing an excellent job.  Everything (including inspections) ran like clockwork.  I could not be happier with them.  I only wish I could hire them to do everything around here!

Anchorstrong Construction and its principal, Zachary
Soetenga have everything you would want in a construction company:  expertise and experience in the kind of work
you want done (earthquake retrofitting), a take-charge/can-do attitude, the
ability to keep the promises they make, the professionalism to do the work in a
timely manner, a hard-working, diligent, competent, respectful crew of workers,
and the ability to complete the job on time, for the price they promise.  Given that we do not know what is required to
provide adequate earthquake retrofitting, Zachary took the time to explain the
technical details of the process, in plain English, which provided the
reassurance that the job was going to be done correctly, and we trust it has
been.  Most important, Zachary and his
whole team have a great attitude:  one of
service, professionalism, and courtesy towards their customers.  I would recommend them mostly highly for the
work they did for us, and their attitude in doing the work.

    White Castle Construction
I am very happy with the work that Whitecastle completed to seismic retrofit and level my house. The level floors are so much nicer now and stiffer, too, with the addition of the new beam. And I went into the crawlspace with my fianc to check up on their work, always a good idea. I saw that all the posts on piers had been strapped, as well as the foundation. I did notice some piers that had been skipped. When I brought this to their attention, they fixed those, too. It looked as if they had replaced many of the wood posts as well. The leveling caused huge cracks in the stucco and plaster, as if an earthquake had hit. We did not expect that they would stucco the outside of the house after the leveling. I know the inspector insisted on the stucco work. I do appreciate that it got done, and the additional $500 is a token of my gratitude. Now I am ready to remodel on a firmer foundation. Whitecastle gave us a very informative introduction to the seismic retrofitting process and the actual work was great.

I called for an estimate, and someone came by within a week or so to inspect the crawl space. A couple days after the inspection, they sent me a contract with details about the proposed work and payment schedule. The company took care of the city permits and scheduled the city inspector's visit after the work, leaving all the paperwork the inspector would need so I would not have to deal with anything myself. The workers showed up on time for the three days it took to do the work, and they cleaned up after themselves each day (leaving their lumber stacked neatly out of the way). The project manager came by on the last day to check that everything was done to his satisfaction and assure me they would come back if the city inspector found any problems (the inspector found no problems). It was a pleasure to work with all the people from the company.

We have not yet authorized the work, but it is a good bet if and when we do, we will use them. They came on time, very professional, and nice. They gave us a feeling of trust and competency and offered references. So far, so good.
