It went very well! How many homeowners can say that about their remodeling experience? Shai was wonderful. At its inception, Shai had a better vision on how we could obtain a large, open space (without expanding our home’s footprint) than any architect or designer we had worked with. He was also mindful of costs and worked with us to stay within a reasonable budget. As far as cost is concerned, there were no surprises. We began with a contract containing a detailed payment schedule. The nice thing about Butel Construction’s billing is that it reflects exactly what was on the contract. It really helped build trust. We made changes along the way but before the change was made, it was always preceded with a work order so we knew what to expect. And there were smaller changes that Shai was kind enough to absorb. He is not all about making money...he is more about integrity and kindness. Of course there were bumps along the way. It is to be expected with a project as large as ours in such an old home. So here’s another great thing about Shai...when we encountered a problem, Shai kept communication open and was very responsive. We were able to navigate issues due to his creativity and positive attitude. He never blamed or made excuses. He simply found a way to fix it. Because Shai is busy, he has a project manager, Miguel. Miguel was also extremely responsive and very knowledgeable. I gained such confidence in Miguel after watching him repeatedly make things happen that some said could not be done. It was obvious that Miguel and Shai work together and share communications at all times. Shai also has a framing supervisor Joel. Joel was aware of my objective - to open walls and windows as much as possible. Upon the commence of demolition, Joel took a look at the staircase and felt there might be a way to open the staircase. Shai agreed. I was thrilled because two architects and an engineer told me it could not be done. Shai went to engineering and now we have a lovely staircase as you see in photos. Perhaps the greatest testament to Butel Construction is my husband Skip’s experience. Skip was not comfortable with construction and was reluctant to remodel. He was very happy to live in the 1929 house as it was. I, on the other hand, I pushed for a change even though I knew construction can be tough on a marriage. When we met Shai, Skip opened up to the project. However, Skip wanted little to do with the construction. Despite the high stakes, I gave Shai the go ahead. WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! We moved back into the house seven months ago and if we do find something that needs fixing or changing Shai is there. Last night Skip walked into the kitchen and commented, once again, on how impressive the room is. And tonight, we will be entertaining and enjoying homemade pizza from our pizza oven....the pizza oven Shai installed on our new deck. Skip is a happy camper! THANK YOU SHAI AND MIGUEL AND JOSE AND JOEL

Preferred Homebuilders performed the remodel on your home. We had a very large master bathroom that we converted to standard sized master bathroom. With the additional space, we added a powder room with a toilet and sink only. We had 2 major requirements: 1. The master bathroom would look like it never had been remodeled. 2. The powder room would have same look and feel as the master bathroom in terms of tile and paint. Preferred accomplished the job. We also extended our living room to add more space for leisure and entertainment. They offered us a fair price and gave us an approximate timeline of 3 months. Even when they encountered a few unforeseen difficulties, they addressed them and did not charge us extra. They operate fast and efficiently to complete the job on time. For us – timing was critical as we wanted to end the re-model as quickly as possible so we could work on other projects. I must compliment Tom on his eye for design. We started with a simple outline of the remodel we wanted to execute and he fully took the vision and added to it in the tasteful way that would make the remodel work look natural. We did not want to live in a house where obvious remodeling had taken place. Tom even discouraged us from doing too much. That is refreshing as he could have done more a more expensive job – but he wanted to make sure that they end product was tasteful. We have good interactions with the office staff Daisy and Yanni when we have questions or comments. I have already recommended Preferred Homebuilders to family and friends.

Very well. John was very professional, friendly and trustworthy. The price he quotes is the price we paid. Since I was not local, he also sent before and after pictures which he sent me so I could see his work.

It went well for a project of its size. The kitchen remodel and patio replacement finished on schedule. There were issues both with the HOA and the City regarding the load-bearing wall, but Jade was able to guide the work through the proper channels. Isaac worked with a structural engineer to get the proper permitting and insurance information for the HOA. Jade also provided great referrals for the windows and flooring and they coordinated the work with the contractors. When I finally moved into the unit there were a few issues, but Jade had someone out the next morning (on a Saturday) to fix the most critical ones. Overall I was satisfied with the service and am happy to be living in my new place!

Glass Definition Inc. was amazing to work with for the glasswork for my master shower! They offered me a wide variety of style options and excellent explanations. Really took time to understand me and my needs. Once I decided to go with them, the turn around was quick. Much faster than other companies quotes. The installers were clean, professional, and did a beautiful job in half a day. Communication with the office was fast and easy (Do they ever sleep?) Tip: I paid extra for the ultra clear starfire glass. It is beautifully crystal clear. And I even with that, their prices handily beat all the others. Get everything you need at an unbelievable price and service. Bravo!!

The water leakage was discovered on the 19th of May at approximately 10:00pm. Between my neighbors and myself it was determined that the leak was most likely coming from a drainage pipe from my unit. If no water was running from my kitchen area, there was no water leaking outside from the building. Therefore we didn’t deem it an emergency and thus no emergency services were requested. I am fortunate to have a very special neighbor who selflessly gave of her own time to call Micky of Supreme Remodeling first thing on the morning of the 20th of May, and made herself available when Micky arrived later that morning to determine the exact location of the leak as well as replace the damaged pipe. Micky did not ask for any payment at that time, knowing that I was calling my insurance company to file a claim. Even though it took my insurance company from May 20th until July 18th to address and promptly deny any claim i made, ( albeit, they provided my with $398 dollars for repair and provided my neighbor with a $1000.00 dollar check to cover the deductible on her own insurance so that they could reimburse for any damages) and though this is not the place to discuss my own personal outrage regarding my insurance company, it is worth mentioning because Supreme Remodeling waited patiently during this time, and never once did they call to pressure me to pay for the services they had already provided, telling me instead “not to worry” and to wait until my insurance claim was settled before having to pay for their services. Even more to their credit when my insurance company finally closed my claim and I informed Supreme Remodeling and Micky of this, they never once inquired about the outcome, and more compelling, they never asked if i had received any monetary compensation to be used towards repair of the claim that I had made. To me, this speaks volumes regarding Supreme Remodeling’s business practices and their utmost regard for the people they provide services for. Initially, I may have thought they wanted me to wait until my insurance claim was settled so they could determine the cost of repair accordingly, however, I was completely wrong about that. As it turns out, the wait was for my benefit, so that should any money be paid out on the claim, it could be then used to reduce the burden of payment for repairs, which i feel is a unique and an extremely commendable business practice. In as far as the quality of work that was provided, both my neighbors and I are extremely pleased. The work is of exceptional quality, and was done so meticulously that it is impossible to determine where the replacement sections of the garage overhang begin and end. Though it took my insurance company 59 days to deny my claim, in effect postponing any restorative work on the building which needed attention, during that extended period of time, however once the claim was closed, Supreme Remodeling was able to then step in and perform the necessary repairs and services to bring the building back to it’s original condition all within less than a week’s time. Supreme Remodeling with Micky at the helm is a company I fully endorse without hesitation.

An exceptional response to a potential dire situation. The work required was quickly assessed and completed as promised. The contractor, Micky, was extremely personable and a pleasure to work with. He took his time in pointing out where water damage had occurred and the steps that were necessary to correct all damaged areas located both inside and outside of my home. The completed project was outstanding, replicating the original "Pre-water damaged" structure, while in many areas using superior materials than had existed originally.

Leo showed up promptly and carefully measured for two different frameless glass shower doors. One involved cut-outs due to irregular tiles, and the other was a replacement of an existing glass shower enclosure. Leo indicated when the doors would be ready and provided an estimate that day. The doors were ready when he said, and were installed quickly and without problem.  The installers did a terrific job, erasing all signs of the previous glass enclosure, and carefully working around the complicated tiles in the other bathroom.  Both bathrooms look great. I would definitely use them again.  Their estimate was more reasonable than other bidders, too.

Gino and his crew showed skill and pride in their work.  The work was done quickly, on schedule, and for the price he'd quoted.   He was also willing to handle our follow up inquiries and went the extra mile to ensure our total satisfaction. We were very pleased with the result of the project.  I would certainly recommend Gino to others.

Frank is a gentleman in the purest sense.  He worked at the direction with my wife who has great confidence in his skills and ability. Given all the work that Frank undertook (it took weeks), calling him a "handyman" is an understatement.  He "renewed" much of our condo by doing both small jobs (insert new cutting board into counter) to quite large jobs (installing kitchen lighting and hanging solid oak doors).  He seems to know how to do everything.
If I were a woman living alone, I would feel very comfortable with this older gentleman around my home. Moreover, Frank is a true American (if you know what I mean, he was an Air Force Pilot).
He served us well and we highly recommend him.
