    Butel Construction Inc
It went very well! How many homeowners can say that about their remodeling experience? Shai was wonderful. At its inception, Shai had a better vision on how we could obtain a large, open space (without expanding our homes footprint) than any architect or designer we had worked with. He was also mindful of costs and worked with us to stay within a reasonable budget. As far as cost is concerned, there were no surprises. We began with a contract containing a detailed payment schedule. The nice thing about Butel Constructions billing is that it reflects exactly what was on the contract. It really helped build trust. We made changes along the way but before the change was made, it was always preceded with a work order so we knew what to expect. And there were smaller changes that Shai was kind enough to absorb. He is not all about making money...he is more about integrity and kindness. Of course there were bumps along the way. It is to be expected with a project as large as ours in such an old home. So heres another great thing about Shai...when we encountered a problem, Shai kept communication open and was very responsive. We were able to navigate issues due to his creativity and positive attitude. He never blamed or made excuses. He simply found a way to fix it. Because Shai is busy, he has a project manager, Miguel. Miguel was also extremely responsive and very knowledgeable. I gained such confidence in Miguel after watching him repeatedly make things happen that some said could not be done. It was obvious that Miguel and Shai work together and share communications at all times. Shai also has a framing supervisor Joel. Joel was aware of my objective - to open walls and windows as much as possible. Upon the commence of demolition, Joel took a look at the staircase and felt there might be a way to open the staircase. Shai agreed. I was thrilled because two architects and an engineer told me it could not be done. Shai went to engineering and now we have a lovely staircase as you see in photos. Perhaps the greatest testament to Butel Construction is my husband Skips experience. Skip was not comfortable with construction and was reluctant to remodel. He was very happy to live in the 1929 house as it was. I, on the other hand, I pushed for a change even though I knew construction can be tough on a marriage. When we met Shai, Skip opened up to the project. However, Skip wanted little to do with the construction. Despite the high stakes, I gave Shai the go ahead. WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! We moved back into the house seven months ago and if we do find something that needs fixing or changing Shai is there. Last night Skip walked into the kitchen and commented, once again, on how impressive the room is. And tonight, we will be entertaining and enjoying homemade pizza from our pizza oven....the pizza oven Shai installed on our new deck. Skip is a happy camper! THANK YOU SHAI AND MIGUEL AND JOSE AND JOEL

    Capital Deck & Stair Waterproofing
Excellent in appearance and professionalism. They took lots of little extra steps to make it look perfect, and the leader of the team even worked on July 4 to get it done!. No chance to test waterproofing yet because it hasn't rained, but their multi-year warranty is great.

    John E Floyd
Needed to demo some of our back yard patio and then install a playscape for our granddaughter. John got the job done very well, was professional, on time, on budget, etc. Also like John's sense of humor and friendly personality. I've used him before and will use him again.

    Local Home Services
Derek is super helpful and competent. Trust him so much we've left him alone in the house to finish jobs. He also has helped out at my parents house. Go to handyman, feel super comfortable with him. As a woman, it can be hard to get honest estimate and work- highly recommend

    MG Roofing LLC
Marvin is a perfectionist. He is extremely professional and advises very honestly on what repairs need to be done and which don't. His crew is punctual, start early, stay late and are very professional. I can't say enough positive things about this company. Over the past 5+ years I have contacted them for multiple jobs and am consistently highly satisfied with the results.

    Frank Wiegers Handyman
I am a repeat customer of Frank and his biggest fan. All those jobs around a typical home are a burden. Frank is always on time and his work is excellent. Not only is his work excellent but Frank is a high quality person. Although I may not be home when he is working there, my spouse is very comfortable with him. He is the perfect handyman, especially for a woman who may live alone. Believe me, he is completely trustworthy.

    John Williams Design
We haven't started with the actual landscaping yet but at every juncture of the process so far, John has been terrific. As someone else said, if I could give him an A+ rating, I would. He's pragmatic and creative.

    Jeff Miller Masonry
Carole and Jeff were a pleasure to work with from the very start.  Jeff came out, reviewed my property and the scope of work and very quickly put together a bid.  His prices were reasonable and comprehensive.  My house is nearly 100 years old, so there were additional "surprises" during the project.  Jeff and his team were nimble and flexible.  The project included breaking up an old front walk and stairs, removal of the old wood decking while supporting the roof of the covered porch, building a stairs along the front elevation, wrapping the sides in brick, cutting a new front path, and replacing a section of retaining wall, doing a smooth coat on the retaining wall. It was extensive.  Though there were additional costs, he and Carole put together additional costs quickly.  I am very, very happy with how the project turned out.

    Absolute Maintenance & Consulting
This sun deck has been a problem for years. I had it ripped out and replaced once before, but that fix didn't last. I finally realized I needed someone who specialized in waterproofing. I went with Absolute because of their fine (and well earned) reviews on Angies List. The estimator came out and carefully went over everything with me. The bid came in at almost exactly what I thought it would be and I signed on. The final cost was a bit higher than the estimate because there was a good deal of dry rot.
The Absolute crew was downright amazing. They were in our house for the better part of a week, removing the tiles, etc. on the old deck and installing a new one plus repairing the interior ceiling. They did a fantastic job. You can't tell that the ceiling has ever been repaired and the new deck not only looks great, it rode out the recent rains with nary a leak! First time in years!
BTW Company owner Cameron Figgins has written a book, Water Wise Home, which every homeowner should read. Lots of good info about preventative maintenance.

    GoodFellas Construction
We decided since summer is here to complete one of our last phases of our remodeling projects on our long agenda list. The new patio looks even better than we expected. The beautiful Spanish slate tile that we chose couldn't look better. It matches the Spanish look of our house and the entry way that we had installed as well. Once again Danny has done an incredible job for us on coordination, and has provided excellent services. We have already recommended him to a few close friends and work colleagues that needed some remodeling done as well. All we can say is that in this industry we have learned that you really get what you pay for and with Danny's vision and guidance it has made it really easy to come to decisions when needed and get things done quickly and efficiently. Oh ya have I mentioned the quality of work??? SUPERB!!!...we love it all and highly recommend the company for any home improvement needs.
