    Quality First Builders Inc
The only question you have to ask after working with a contractor is, "would you work with them again?" The answer for Eli and Donna is an unequivocal and enthusiastic yes! My wife and I recently did a complete remodel of our kitchen. Gutted it down to the studs, moved windows and doors, custom cabinets, new appliancesthe whole deal. We had a good idea of what we wanted, but there were still things to be worked out. Eli and Donna helped us every step of the way. Eli is diligent about keeping projects on schedule. He wants to get your project completed as much as you do and is great about playing task master with his crew and subs. He even helped keep us on schedule with key decisions along the way. Eli will offer his perspective and experience on all aspects of the job. You might not always agree with him, but is opinion is valuable and allows you to make smart choices. And he always defers to the homeowners wishes in the end. No large contracting job is without hiccups and ours was no exception. This is where Eli really shined. When things dont go as expected or if there is some miscommunication, Eli makes sure you are happy in the end. He works things out with his subs and suppliers to make things right, even redoing parts of a job if necessary. Were thrilled with our kitchen. Its our favorite room in the house and were ready to do a couple more projects with Quality First in the near future.

    Frank Wiegers Handyman
Frank did a GREAT job with this little project. The wood under my kitchen sink got wet and needed to be replaced. Frank made a model in paper of the intricate cuts required to get the replacement wood to fit the odd angles of the under sink cabinet. He was always on time and followed through on every commitment. And he was always professional and friendly! The work turned out great and the price was less than expected. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Will definitely call Frank for my next project.

    Butel Construction Inc
It went very well! How many homeowners can say that about their remodeling experience? Shai was wonderful. At its inception, Shai had a better vision on how we could obtain a large, open space (without expanding our homes footprint) than any architect or designer we had worked with. He was also mindful of costs and worked with us to stay within a reasonable budget. As far as cost is concerned, there were no surprises. We began with a contract containing a detailed payment schedule. The nice thing about Butel Constructions billing is that it reflects exactly what was on the contract. It really helped build trust. We made changes along the way but before the change was made, it was always preceded with a work order so we knew what to expect. And there were smaller changes that Shai was kind enough to absorb. He is not all about making money...he is more about integrity and kindness. Of course there were bumps along the way. It is to be expected with a project as large as ours in such an old home. So heres another great thing about Shai...when we encountered a problem, Shai kept communication open and was very responsive. We were able to navigate issues due to his creativity and positive attitude. He never blamed or made excuses. He simply found a way to fix it. Because Shai is busy, he has a project manager, Miguel. Miguel was also extremely responsive and very knowledgeable. I gained such confidence in Miguel after watching him repeatedly make things happen that some said could not be done. It was obvious that Miguel and Shai work together and share communications at all times. Shai also has a framing supervisor Joel. Joel was aware of my objective - to open walls and windows as much as possible. Upon the commence of demolition, Joel took a look at the staircase and felt there might be a way to open the staircase. Shai agreed. I was thrilled because two architects and an engineer told me it could not be done. Shai went to engineering and now we have a lovely staircase as you see in photos. Perhaps the greatest testament to Butel Construction is my husband Skips experience. Skip was not comfortable with construction and was reluctant to remodel. He was very happy to live in the 1929 house as it was. I, on the other hand, I pushed for a change even though I knew construction can be tough on a marriage. When we met Shai, Skip opened up to the project. However, Skip wanted little to do with the construction. Despite the high stakes, I gave Shai the go ahead. WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! We moved back into the house seven months ago and if we do find something that needs fixing or changing Shai is there. Last night Skip walked into the kitchen and commented, once again, on how impressive the room is. And tonight, we will be entertaining and enjoying homemade pizza from our pizza oven....the pizza oven Shai installed on our new deck. Skip is a happy camper! THANK YOU SHAI AND MIGUEL AND JOSE AND JOEL

    Master Handyman
This project was on-time, on-budget and exceeded our expectations for quality. Also, over the course of the last 5 years, Julius has provided thoughtful advice, exceptional performance and very low rates. Julius is motivated primarily by the challenge of solving problems and foreseeing issues in the most practical and effective manner. I hold Julius in the highest regard, trust him implicitly and recommend him without reservation. I wish I was as good at my job as he is at his.

    Supreme Remodeling Inc
Supreme Remodeling did a fantastic renovation of multiple rooms in our townhouse back in 2014. Our home is our sanctuary and Micky and his crew worked closely with us to make sure it was everything we wanted it to be. Living through construction is not easy, but he and his crew were flexible and willing to work around our needs and the requirements of our HOA. We get so many compliments on our home and have had several friends use our kitchen as inspiration for their own renovation projects. Two years later, Micky is still happy to send out his crew to fix any little issues that come up and make sure we are satisfied customers. When we're ready to start renovations on our master bath, Supreme Remodeling will be first on my list to call.

    Frank Wiegers Handyman
Frank is a wonderful handyman and a very nice person. He uses time efficiently. When he came to my house to see the job, he estimated it as about 5 hours of work. I said I would do the painting when he was done. He told me what he would do and he asked me to get the closet doors and hinges I wanted for the closet. He told me his hourly rate so I was able to estimate the cost that, with materials, was within my budget. Frank is punctual. He listens. Once I had the closet doors and hinges we scheduled the first half-day of work for about 3 days later. He divided the job into two afternoons. In addition he needed to purchase some lumber to frame the doors that he cut at his home shop. Thus the total job ended up being about 6.5 hours. Frank's work is meticulous. He planned to clean up after each of the two days but I wanted to. He made excellent decisions about materials (wood) and time allocation. He got right to work. In addition we had some brief, interesting conversations. I'm extremely happy with the result. I knew what I wanted the closet doors to look like, but the mechanics baffled me. This was a creative task since I couldn't afford custom-made doors and the bookshelf was wider and taller than conventional sized closet doors. Furthermore, it's difficult to find any pre-made closet doors except bi-fold that I didn't want. I ended up getting a 30 inch wide louvered bi-fold and Frank removed the hinges and built a frame so these narrow french doors would fit my 31 inch wide closet. Brilliant. And it looks fantastic and better than I imagined it.

A Clas Builders & Design, Inc.
Having done our due diligence, my wife and I are confident that we made the right choice between the four general contractors we initially interviewed. At the completion of our project, we can truly say that it was a pleasure working with Sam and Bruce from A Clas.   Like many, we were nervous going into our remodel, having heard many nightmare general contractor stories, but were very lucky to have chosen  A Clas Builders.  They demonstrated extreme professionalism and genuine interest in our project, which essentially was a complete remodel of a 1926 Santa Monica Spanish Revival home, including a fair amount of structural work as called for by the structural engineer.  Their experience and expertise showed, and they have a very competent and trustworthy crew.  Additionally, they have great command of their various sub-contractors due to long-standing relationships and were also able to coordinate effectively with the handful of subs we brought in ourselves.  Throughout the project, they remained very responsive to our requests and exhibited a great deal of patience when faced with change orders.  They were very fair with regard to the cost of change orders, and are not in the business of nickel-and-diming each time a change is made.  Given the scope of work, we were amazed that we were able to move back into our home within a 12 month period.   The true test has come following the completion of the project, which is nearly one and a half years ago.  We continue to receive complements regarding the quality of the work done, and have not experienced any major issues outside of those expected with normal wear and tear, which they have been very responsive to.  Additionally, we have utilized them for an office remodel in a commercial building, and would not hesitate to hire them for any additional work to our home in the future.

    Nexxus Remodeling Inc
Tony and his crew were very prompt and professional and performed outstanding work. They repaired two of my exterior doors, patched up interior walls and ceilings and painted most of the interior of my house. Tony called and communicated with me often and he and his team were always on time to the agreed upon start times and they also finished within the estimated time. They moved all furniture/stuff and took care to protect all floors and items from dust and paint. His team was very courteous and Tony accommodated some additional requests by me without hesitation. I am extremely pleased with the results would recommend Tony and Nexxus to other members.
