    JVP Construction Inc
I was pleased with the work but I would suggest that the workers or the supervisor provide the materials and the client pay for them as opposed to the client trying to figure out what to buy. I spent a lot of time looking for stuff that turned out then to be inappropriate. Fortunately the last worker was resourceful and found some material that I did not have.

    Supreme Remodeling Inc
The water leakage was discovered on the 19th of May at approximately 10:00pm. Between my neighbors and myself it was determined that the leak was most likely coming from a drainage pipe from my unit. If no water was running from my kitchen area, there was no water leaking outside from the building. Therefore we didnt deem it an emergency and thus no emergency services were requested. I am fortunate to have a very special neighbor who selflessly gave of her own time to call Micky of Supreme Remodeling first thing on the morning of the 20th of May, and made herself available when Micky arrived later that morning to determine the exact location of the leak as well as replace the damaged pipe. Micky did not ask for any payment at that time, knowing that I was calling my insurance company to file a claim. Even though it took my insurance company from May 20th until July 18th to address and promptly deny any claim i made, ( albeit, they provided my with $398 dollars for repair and provided my neighbor with a $1000.00 dollar check to cover the deductible on her own insurance so that they could reimburse for any damages) and though this is not the place to discuss my own personal outrage regarding my insurance company, it is worth mentioning because Supreme Remodeling waited patiently during this time, and never once did they call to pressure me to pay for the services they had already provided, telling me instead not to worry and to wait until my insurance claim was settled before having to pay for their services. Even more to their credit when my insurance company finally closed my claim and I informed Supreme Remodeling and Micky of this, they never once inquired about the outcome, and more compelling, they never asked if i had received any monetary compensation to be used towards repair of the claim that I had made. To me, this speaks volumes regarding Supreme Remodelings business practices and their utmost regard for the people they provide services for. Initially, I may have thought they wanted me to wait until my insurance claim was settled so they could determine the cost of repair accordingly, however, I was completely wrong about that. As it turns out, the wait was for my benefit, so that should any money be paid out on the claim, it could be then used to reduce the burden of payment for repairs, which i feel is a unique and an extremely commendable business practice. In as far as the quality of work that was provided, both my neighbors and I are extremely pleased. The work is of exceptional quality, and was done so meticulously that it is impossible to determine where the replacement sections of the garage overhang begin and end. Though it took my insurance company 59 days to deny my claim, in effect postponing any restorative work on the building which needed attention, during that extended period of time, however once the claim was closed, Supreme Remodeling was able to then step in and perform the necessary repairs and services to bring the building back to its original condition all within less than a weeks time. Supreme Remodeling with Micky at the helm is a company I fully endorse without hesitation.

George was very saving on water usage; which is exemplary in these times.  When he estimated the job he made excellent suggestions on how to do the job in the shortest time and still cover everything; which was quite time saving.  And, he finished ahead of schedule.

We would definitely use him again when we need this.

ShadeTree Canopies for COOL outdoor living space
My wife purchased on recommendation of our architect as part of a home remodel around 8 years ago. It was a small job involving just 4 canopies over a rear deck. The first installer was a young man who had no idea how to build the superstructure. He had to call the company which sent someone else the next day to help who seemed more knowledgeable. However, when they finished, the wooden structure was a box with none of the craftsman type details in the pictures we had seen. When we pointed that out, they said they could only work with the materials they had been provided so right off the bat we were disappointed. To complicate matters our architect came down with cancer and wasn't able to continue on the project. I suppose we should have called the company and complained but at that point we were relieved it was done and removal would have required a lot of stucco repair. So we decided to live with it and it has provided shade. Only later when I had to replace some of the plastic parts of the slide assembly did I discover that they had not cut enough off the end of the slides to allow me to remove the canopies for cleaning or move the end stops to shorten the canopies to allow for the inevitable fabric shrinkage. The fabric has held up remarkably well given that it is up all year round. But then we do live in Southern California with mild weather and little rain. The plastic pieces that allow the canopies to work and stay in place tend to get brittle and break over time and they are ridiculously expensive, especially after adding in shipping costs. And the vinyl coating on some of the metal parts like the rod to pull the canopies soon starts to crack and fall off. Perhaps they are made sturdier today. Hopefully the installation is done more professionally. But even so I wouldn't recommend these except for a small patio. Having to manually open and close the canopies gets to be a nuisance, especially if you have more than 4-5. And then you have the problem that an occasional breeze will cause the canopies to come free and then you have to get the rod to correct the problem - or worse, get out a ladder to climb up and adjust the stops

Great. Initial appointment to discuss what we wanted included measurements, estimate and final plan. Representative was prompt, knowledgable, friendly and efficient. Awning installation was within estimated time of arrival and the crew was prompt and efficient. We love the awnings.

    Nexxus Remodeling Inc
Tony came on Sunday afternoon punctually, and advised us of our options, two of which (retractable to fixed cloth awnings) he could not provide -- but he told us of them anyway.  We decided on the higher-end (not corrugated) flat rigid awning with posts. He called Tuesday to say his crew would be there Wednesday or Thursday (we are at home, so it didn't matter which day).  They arrived Wednesday at 3 PM and finished at 5 PM.  It looks beautiful.  We wish we had done this years ago.  Five years ago we had Nexxus do a complete remodel of our bathroom, which still looks beautiful.  Tony is very communicative, he doesn't come in above estimate, and he is totally reliable.  If you don't want contractor hassles (disappearing crews for days, non-responsiveness, extra costs above estimate, poor clean-up, etc.) you'll be pleased with his service.

I called two other Awning Companies and received estimates which were
$200 more than Calshades.  Vince came over within a day of when I
called.  Once I engaged Calshade they gave me excellent turnaround time
-- about a week.  The other two companies told me times of 3 to 4
weeks.  Overall I was very pleased with the company and highly recommend them for awing work.

    Accent Awnings
Accent Awning really had a challenge with our project.  We had 3 to 4 color changes before the project was complete and there were several intricate measurements necessary due to the fact our home has several angles and slopes to contend with.  The initial awning that was installed was good (and probably would have been more than adequate for most), but we have a family of perfectionist.  With complete courteous professionalism, they took down the whole thing, rebuilt the frames, re-cut the fabric and the installers were here all day contending with our requests to “Move an 1/8” here, Move an 1/8” there.”  We are forever grateful to Accent Awning for not just installing a quality awning, but creating a true work of art for our home.  If you’re looking for excellent workmanship, professional staff at the most competitive rate…..Accent Awning is your company.
