    CAL-COAST REFRIGERATION
    Horribly. Their technician did something wrong & a system that was working stopped working after he performed the annual maintenance. They sent someone else to to fix it (unsuccessfully) and their solution was to replace our control pad at a substantial cost. I called another company for a second opinion & when the owner of Cal-Coast found out he called & chastised me for not allowing him to fix the problem. FYI - the 2nd company fixed the problem & it had nothing to do with the control panel.

    James Heating and Air conditioning
    Fantastic service.  Mr. James was prompt and extremely knowledgeable.  He explained all the steps he was taking and why as he checked the furnace and changed the filters.  He checked our thermostat and pointed out to us that our batteries were getting low. His final cost was lower than he had originally estimated to us over the phone.  We will definitely be calling James Heating and Air Conditioning for all of our future needs.

    Job went well and the technician seemed very capable.  Showed me what he said was some problems with the unit and said I would have to replace the part in the next few years.  Gave me an estimated cost of a new furnace.  Did a good job of laying down tarps to catch dust/dirt and made sure parts didn't get on the carpet.  Cleaned up the area before leaving.

    Polite people but I am looking to replace my furnace or upgrade it's performance. I had to pay them a service call fee to get them to look at my problem. so didn't do. Other furnace companies don't charge for evaluating and quoting you. I do know it costs money to send a guy out, but competitors don't charge.

    Lanini's Plumbing and Heating Repair, Inc. did an excellent job. The people are knowledgeable and friendly. They are respectful. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I'm not too happy with the furnace itself, but they didn't build the furnace. So they have nothing to do with that. Their responsiveness was quick.

    The service was really good overall.  I do have a problem with my air conditioning unit; there's an issue with the water backing up, causing an odor, however, I’ve had to cancel the appointments. I think they'll be able to repair it the next time they come out.

    During the One Hour quote, they asked who else I was getting quotes from.   I believe One Hour knew that if they could not get me to commit that night they had no chance since I had Wighton?s coming out.  Wighton?s offers the same brand (Lennox) as One Hour and extremely better prices.  The entire quote process from Wighton?s was professional.  My advice is to STAY AWAY from One Hour.

    Air conditioning failed on a retail building in an area that required constant temp. due to monitoring system computers - an emergency in the opinion of the commercial tenant. We called Cal-Coast in the morning and they were there, as promised, right after lunch. The tech, Jeff, was knowledgeable, very courteous and had the problem fixed very quickly. He answered the building owner's questions about the A/C unit and confirmed that maintenance was up-to-date. The billing for services was entirely reasonable. We would highly recommend this company!

    Austins Home Repair
    On Friday, they were the 1st company I called, but the 2nd one to respond. AHR is a small family operation. I called at 8am in the morning and by 1pm they were at my door to inspect the furnace. They confirmed after a thorough investigation that the heat exchanger was just starting to go and therefore when the furnace came on for really cold mornings and had to run for a long time, with multiple cycles the joints started to open up a little and that was why we would get occasional carbon monoxide warnings. The physically showed me how they were coming to that conclusion. We discussed multiple furnace options from high efficiency down to the very cheapest, how we lived in our home, and the pros and cons of each and expected pay back periods vs cost. We ultimatily selected a 2 stage gas and 2 speed blower furnace, but not one of the high efficiency models which would have entaiiled a lot of installation expense, was a much more expensive unit, .and was very unforgivening if any maintenance was missed. My on line research had indicated that a high efficiency unit would not pay for itself, but I had no idea of all of the other ramifications and maintenance headaches. High efficiency usits are probably worth while where you have cold long winters. AHR checked and the 2 stage furnace was not available from the local distributor and had to be shipped in.
    On Monday, AHR advised me that the shipping company dropped the furnace off in the wrong city and so a Wednesday installation had to be moved to Friday.
    On Friday they arrived as scheduled and completed the installation with the exception of the closet door latch which had to be moved to Monday because we needed to leave. They arrived back as schedule on Monday to install the latch and the building inspector they scheduled arrived a couple of hours later.
    Removal, cleanup, and protection of our home was great for all stages.

    This is a small company that I recommend with out hesitation.
