Hospital Care reviews in Santa Fe Springs

    Saint Bernardine Hospital
I went into the tent with my wife. The did not take her temperature or check her blood pressure. Basic procedures when you go to the hospital. I was told to wait outside even though I saw multiple groups or family members/significant others with each other inside. We waited 2 hours before she was even seen. And another 2 hours before she got results to an X-ray that shouldn’t have even been taken. My wife has epilepsy and had a moderate to severe seizure earlier in the day. She was feeling faint and dizzy up till we went to the hospital. They tried to give her “ epilepsy medication.” Not checking off it was the right dose or if she was current on her medication. Throughout the visit the nurses were laughing and joking. Not paying attention to anyone and using profanities. Then to top of off the told her she was fine and to leave. No one helped her leave the hospital. I met her halfway to the parking lot and she was crying hysterically. I carried her to the car. This is the worst example of “professional medical treatment” I have ever encountered. I will NEVER visit this place again. And I encourage you to choose another place to be helped. They won’t do it for you here properly and will charge you an absorbent amount of money on irrational testings.

    Torrance Memorial Medical Center
The surgery department is totally INCOMPETENT. I was supposed to have surgery recently and it had to be rescheduled at the last minute because they found out, while I was actually on the operating table and under general anesthesia, that they did not have all the supplies they needed for the surgery. This is AFTER I went through all the preparations and I was under anesthesia. The administration is INCOMPETENT. The nurses are INCOMPETENT. The staff is INCOMPETENT.

I have waited to write this review until the first 6 weeks recovery was reached. I had surgery on May 22 2017 and today is July 5th and I have been pretty much pain free! After suffering for 10 plus years and in chronic pain since September 2016 when we returned from out River Cruise. I tried everything that had worked in the past from my Chiropractic treatment to spine injections, steroids that caused 30 pounds weight gain and a nerve oblation procedure. They eased a little of my pain but only for a week or two...when my pain returned with a vengeance. When I finally agreed to consider surgery I met with Dr. Burdi. He was thorough in his examination, X-rays, MRI that he went over the results with me. He showed me how my L2&3 disc had collapsed and were now bone on bone causing my extreme pain. He said I was a perfect candidate for XLIF surgery side entrance to remove the collapsed disc. I was more impressed with his explanation of my problem and how the XLIF side entry surgery could fix & relieve my chronic pain than the Neurosurgeon's back surgery I was considering. Not only am I now pain free but my recovery has been every bit as amazingly easy as Dr. Burdi described. I am moving with such ease it is hard to believe I had major back surgery just 6 weeks ago. My little scares are healing and very small. Mission Hospital"s Spine Surgery floor was impressive and the staff very caring. I know understand how people love their Doctors and Dr. Michael Burdi is the best!

He was very accommodating. A very nice man, and has left an incredible legacy to his coworkers to continue his practice.

The care, love, and quality of service that they provided during such a difficult time in the ICU and hospice for my 97 year old mother was just incredible. My mother and I are so thankful to have been in such good hands.

This appointment took a few hours. We started checking in at 7AM, then we waited to be called (around 8AM). I was called in to my husband's bedside about 10AM. We spoke to the doctor who had done the procedure. He explained everything that he found and treatment options. He answered all our questions. The nurse was great too. At no time did we feel rushed and we were out of there before 11AM.

Being by Beverly Hills it's a great hospital. They have very good doctors, a top notch staff and their nurses as well. It's clean, very professional and very attentive. It's well furnished and just a top notch hospital. I've been there myself to visit. They run it very efficiently.

It is very convenient because all different types of specialties are located in one area. They are all experts and well qualified physicians.
