    Great initial response and evaluation. The predicted 3-5 days without hot water turned into 10 days, not fully their fault as damage was more extensive and required furnace removal which delayed start once walls were open. Called project manager 5 days into project and asked for updates as this was in a second home out of state. He said he had just started remediation following furnace removal and would keep me posted. Project was completed 3 days later according to my daughter who lives in the home and still have not heard from them! Pictures of the project from daughter showed good work, just total lack of communication which is essential since they rip everything apart and do nothing to coordinate subsequent repairs. We needed to replace removed structures, hot water heater and furnace which is difficult to line up quickly (hot water and heat being big quality of life issues) if there is no information on when the project will be completed. They suggested we contact the person removing furnace to replace it, but did not provide any information on who that was.

    When I realized there was a water leak in my rental home, Mike at Connoisseur Carpet Cleaning introduced me to Dan. Anyone that knows Mike knows he does top-quality work. Well, it's true about the birds-of-a-feather thing: Dan is AWESOME! :-)

    Dan is top quality, and as honest as they come. He came in within a few hours of my call, and did a careful assessment of the situation, which he documented with photos that I could show my long-distance landlady. He took the time needed to clearly answer all my questions and strategize for best results. He was also able to explain everything clearly to my landlady, so she understood the importance of doing this right. I was able to contract him for the work, which he did on time and on budget. He was also really helpful in coordinating with other contractors to finish the job, after he tore out all the mold. I so appreciate Dan's integrity, intelligence, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality.

    I learned a lot about mold remediation as a renter in Campbell, when my home had a toxic mold infestation so severe that it nearly killed my entire family. Many people say they know how to handle mold clean-up (or worse yet, say that it isn't dangerous), but few do it right (a bad job can lead to contamination of the entire house and the articles inside, as well as decreased health for the occupants). Dan clearly demonstrated his expertise in following this important protocol for significant mold remediation:

    1) The area must be masked off;
    2) The work must be done under negative air-pressure with a HEPA filter;
    3) The technician should protect himself by wearing protective clothing and respirator; and
    4) The area should be optimally be tested post-remediation, to ensure it is free of mold spores before the masking comes down.
    5) Additionally, the mold tester, mold remediator, and build-back contractor should be three separate parties, to eliminate conflict of interest.

    Dan's strict adherence to these guidelines attested to his integrity and gave me peace of mind, knowing he would get the job done right and keep the rest of my house uncontaminated.

    And sure enough, we past our post-test with flying colors! I can't recommend Dan highly enough--from now on, he is my #1 go-to guy!

    The president of the company came out and did the inspection. He was on time. There were no signs of mold. My tenant said there was a musky smell every now and then. The house is close to the beach. He checked the outside walls, inside, water meter and under the house. He found nothing. He mailed me a report of the work and inspection.
