    Everlast Construction
I cannot say enough great things about Everlast and their team. We had spoken with 4 or 5 different contractors before deciding to go with EC, and we are so glad we made the choice we did. From Day 1 (demo day!), their dedication to making sure everything was done right was clear. They work hard and fast, and they are literally some of the nicest guys we've had the pleasure of being around. My husband and I were fortunate to work from home throughout the reno, so we got so spend a lot of time with the guys. David and his team are friendly and respectful, and always had our best interest as the focus of their work. They always had great suggestions and ideas, and we were able to call and text Ariel any time we had questions about anything. At the end of our project, David even sent a cleaning crew to come and spiffy up our place so we could get right to enjoying our new kitchen. Their work is guaranteed, so they also ensured if any issues come up with anything that was done, we could always reach back out to him and get it fixed. We could not ask for more. Amazing, amazing, family-run team and we are SO HAPPY.

    AV Cabinetry
We had a great experience working with Ariel and AV Cabinetry! We did a complete remodel of our entire kitchen and Ariel help us with the design and layout of all of our cabinets and an island. Ariel was instrumental in helping us to maximize the utility and storage of our cabinets. Having just demolished a horribly designed kitchen, we were really concerned about designing a kitchen that had plenty of drawers and pullouts and gave us easy access to all of our "stuff". Ariel was definitely up to the task. Ariel was very responsive to all of our requests and provided excellent feedback and opinions when needed. His team was efficient, courteous, and clean. We would definitely recommend him for another kitchen remodel.

We are really pleased with our new kitchen cabinets. Vince's work is superb in the construction, detail and design of our cabinets. He was very attentive to our requests, and worked closely with us to ensure that all of our needs were met. We would definitely use them again!

    Gilmans Kitchens And Bath
Im honestly not even sure where to begin with this review, given the amount of issues we had working with Gilmans. We had singlehandedly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We had a large kitchen cabinet order that was misordered several arrived the wrong size, including an entire section that was based on a design around our fridge and microwave fitting into them neatly. Gilmans admitted they did not even bother to check the dimensions of our appliances, despite me having asked them to multiple times and having our appliance store contact them directly to make sure everything was going to work well together. For one kitchen, we had a total of 9 re-orders of materials that were incorrect. We were previously upset at the cabinet manufacturer (thats an entirely different review, and I still believe their quality is horrendous), however upon research, our architect and several other experts in the industry have said that for an order this screwed up, it cant just be the manufacturer, it has to be how it was ordered and planned out (i.e. Gilmans). To make matters worse, we had to threaten going to the California State Licensing Board to get them to fix these mistakes. Otherwise, their response was literally to choose new appliances. This was after coming to our house, admitting their mistake, promising to replace it with the proper sized cabinets, then calling a few days later to renege on this. Another one of my favorite responses was in regards to the rollout shelf that ripped out of the side of the cabinet upon first use. Their response was to tell us to move it to another level (i.e. dont deal with the ripped holes in the side of the cabinet, dont address what caused it to rip out and perhaps prevent it from happening again). For all these replacement orders, there was no rushing, there was no professional communication of when things would be delivered, there was no delivery to our home as soon as the replacements were into Gilmans, everything was at their convenience. We had an unfinished kitchen (where everything else was entirely done and finished) from March through today, when I am posting this review, in July). (By the way, theres still one order outstanding that somehow disappeared and had to be reordered. Thankfully, its not an essential piece to our kitchen, as who knows when well actually receive it Ive asked for an ETA a few times to silence). Myself, our contractor, or our interior designer had to fight for almost everything to get our kitchen the way it should have been. The customer was never right. On top of all this, during the months (February July) of dealing with the order issues we had, never once did we hear from the owner of Gilmans to address our concerns, apologize, or issue any sort of attempt at mediation to make us, his customers, feel at all better about the situation we were in. I personally emailed him a few times and received silence, despite the fact our rep told me he received my emails. Our interior designer also met with him in person about our kitchen problems and still, he didnt bother to even send us a courtesy email. That is not the behavior of a company that cares about their customers or their customers experience.

I submitted a sketch drawing of the room and there were some misunderstandings, but it would have been easier for them to understand in person. The delivery time was adequate and the cabinets were as advertised. They kind of have a white plastic finish to it. It's not natural wood, but due to this the cabinets do clean very well. The finish doesn't adhere as well to the wood as it should, but overall the finish was good for the first 6 months. It wasn't until after that time that they showed wear. Initially, I thought the cost was a good deal. Now, I wish I would have gotten a higher grade.

I interviewed three custom cabinet makers before settling on Neves Custom Cabinets.  Tony's price was much better than one of the other companies and comparable to the other.
What set Tony Neves apart for me was his meticulous attention to detail.  When you are making lots of non-standard cabinets there are all kinds of unexpected ways things can end up not working.  Tony thinks this all through and anticipates problems.
The kitchen Tony did for us was a smaller one with cherry cabinets and non-standard 38-inch counters.  We also had Tony create a stunning cherry-wood bar between the kitchen and the family room.  (Wood bars are so much more inviting that granite ones!)  Tony helped me squeeze in things I wanted like a pull-out trash container and a spice pull-out with the help of an awesome "magic corner" cabinet and creative use of the space accessed under the bar.
The cabinets and installation were perfect.  When one of the cabinet faces was scratched during installation they took the door with them and replaced it a week later with an undamaged one.
Tony also did a painted vanity cabinets in one bathroom and gorgeous rustic maple ones in the master bath.
This is the second time we have installed custom cabinets in a remodeled kitchen and I highly recommend custom cabinetry to anyone who cooks frequently and isn't planning on moving anytime soon.  They are such a pleasure to use and hold up much better than even high-end semi-custom cabinets.  And I also highly recommend working with Tony and Neves Custom Cabinets.

    Fisher Construction
Their work was excellent. They did make a mistake on the size of the doors for the cabinets. However, they immediately went back and had the doors done right. The only negative thing is, they had one man assigned to it and he was doing multiple jobs, so he wasn't necessarily here every day and I didn't particularly like that fact. It took a little longer than we thought because they had this one man doing multiple jobs and he wasn't here full time everyday. Otherwise, the materials they used were first class.

From the start of the project all the way to the end, it was an absolute pleasure working with Young, Mina and their team. The quality of their craftsmanship is outstanding and they accomplished everything they committed to exactly when they said they would do it. I was amazed that I could get full custom cabinets installed in less than 6 weeks. Their shop is located in Hollister, California.

We had looked at cabinets through the home improvement stores (Lowes, Home Depot) and some other custom solutions and had obtained quotes.

A friend referred me to Niviya after being delighted with their work in her kitchen. They have a pretty extensive showroom in Cupertino so I scheduled an appointment and we met with Young. I had an idea of what I wanted, and Young understood pretty quickly the look I was going for. He was extremely generous with the knowledge he's accumulated over the years and offered wonderfully helpful suggestions and ideas. So much so, that I started referring to him as and quot;Mr. Solutionand quot;.

I love his recommendation on the under cabinet LED lights - they are absolutely stealth and not noticeable. He made the bottom of the upper cabinets flush with the frame and installed the LED's inside the bottom panel so the round LED is also flush. It's gorgeous. I've seen other solutions where the workings are in full view once you look under the upper cabinets.

I also love his recommendation on lazy susan type of mechanisms to make the most of my corners in the kitchen. They are pretty high-tech and unique and they work flawlessly and look stunning.

At my request, he made a couple of slide out, open faced drawers so I could use baskets for items I didn't want refrigerated like tomatoes, potatoes, garlic, bread, etc., but didn't want to clutter up my counter tops. I'm thrilled with them and use them several times a day.

They only use top of the line hardware on the doors and drawers. I went with a pull out pantry and we've always got it loaded up. It glides as smoothly today as the day it was installed and soft-closes like all the other cabinets. I can't tell you want a pleasure it is to not hear any more banging!!!

These are full custom cabinets and I got to specify absolutely everything - including the edge profiles. I got to select the exact color I wanted based on Sherwin Williams entire collection of whites. I got cabinets for all three rooms for not much more than the price of the stock cabinets we could have purchased at Lowes.

Young and Mina are absolutely great to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for cabinets.

We needed install cabinets that are wheelchair friendly. They sat with us over two afternoons and asked hundreds of question for how wheelchair-person go about cabinets, size, distance, height, material, opening and closing mechanisms, handles, etc,, and produced an amazing computer-generated design. We modified a little for the final design, and here we g:o we have cabinets that are wheelchair friendly, made of top quality bamboo and maple, modern European looking and very functional. That alone was a very pleasant experience. The price tag was very reasonable as well, as 3 of our friends installed new kitchen cabinets about the same time. The most impressive aspect of Woodenbridge was their attitude toward the customer service. They seem willing to go extra miles to satisfy us in every aspect of the project. Numerous talks and visits to make the cabinets more wheelchair friendly and more functional without a single complaints pleased us enormously.
We used 16 different contractors recently to remodel our house, and Woodenbridge definitely stood out among them in terms of quality, pricing and customer service. We recommend them highly to whoever needs high quality functional custom cabinets.

The job step-by-step: they fixed a temporary kitchen for us in the garage. We lived here during the entire three-month construction period. The contractors were very clean, on time, and respectful of our privacy. They listened to our wishes and finished the job on time. They have been very good about adjusting small problems such as a broken floor tile.
