    Horizon Construction & Remodeling Inc
This renovation was a long time coming, & finding Horizon through Angie's List was a blessing. They had a great selection in their showroom of different products. We worked with contractor Mike Roppo, who immediately would answer our calls and was quick to fix any problems. The office was efficient in checking that every step of the renovation was completed on time. Our master bedroom is finally the sweet oasis we had envisioned.

    Cutler Construction Services Inc
I have used Cutler Construction Services, Inc for two major projects and have been more than satisfied with both experiences. The first was a complete remodel of the master and hall bathroom in a 65 yr old home. Because of the excellent service and great finished product I hired the company again to convert a patio to an office. Josh stays on top of his crews and the work. He is always courteous and provides very helpful suggestions. Being an old house there were unanticipated problems encountered, for which Josh offered multiple solutions. The office manager Ricky, is just as efficient and detailed. He was always right on top of things and easy to reach.

    MPM Enterprises Inc.
All of the work at the home went perfect and without delays.  The contractor and workers showed up when they said they would and cleaned up after they were finished which to me is very  important.  We knew there was a lot of damage to the home however we did not know how much until we actually walked around looking at the damage.  The house was built in the 60's and had not had any upgrades or any work like this done before so going into it we knew it would be a lot of work but thought it would be more costly and take more time.  We were very happy with the work.  Some of the damage was not visible to the eye but if you took a screwdriver it would just go right in.  Since dryrot spreads there was no sense in waiting so we went ahead and hired MPM to do the job.
This was not our first time using the services of MPM.  I first contacted them after they were recommended to me when we were thinking about having a patio cover added to another home we own in the same city.  I made calls and got estimates, however it was a little time consuiming because there was one company that didn't show up and another that kept rescheduling for one reason or another.  We decided to go with MPN because he was very personable, honest and up front,  was there on time, and provided a very reasonable estimate.   He actually helped us design the cover because this was new to us and my husband and I were not qutie in agrement as to whether it should be an open cover or a closed cover with lighting.  Bryan of MPM helped us out, we compromised and the patio cover tured out beautiful.  We love having the beautiful outdoor living space and are looking forward to the warm weather when we can spend even more time outside enjoying it.

    Above It All Roofing, Inc
David Brunn was our contact at Above It All Roofing. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He addressed our concerns and dealt with our requests. We were scheduled to begin work on this house in a few days when I changed my mind on the materials to be used. I picked a shingle that was a special order from back East and would take a couple of weeks to be shipped to our site. No problem for Dave. Excellent customer satisfaction was his priority. Job was rescheduled with no complaints or pressure.
Helio was the job site foreman. He and his men did efficient, quality work. This work was done on a home built in 1964 and required a lot of repairs before the paper went down.
The house originally had no fascia. After installing, this brought the roof line down, making the front of the house look out of scale. Even though Helio and his men were under pressure to complete repairs on the roof so that the inspector could sign off and paper could be applied, Helio immediately agreed that it didn't look right. They removed the fascia, cut back the rafters and raised the roof line about one foot. Looked much better.
This was the second house that I had Above It All Roofing replace within a few weeks. The first one was on a rental that I plan on keeping long term and this was on my home. Very happy with the results on both. All wood was supplied by a reputable lumber yard. Bring on the rain.

    Weather Proofing Experts LLC
They were excellent! The porch and balcony was never installed properly by the original contractors. They rebuilt the entire thing and weatherproofed behind it. I worked with Brandon Favano. He was the person you would always want to work with and is a great person. He is responsible, responsive, fair, and much more. They did a great job and are a great company.

    Approved Contractor Inc.
I am very happy with the end result!

My first impression was formed when Jared arrived to give me a bid to paint the exterior of my home with a lifetime exterior coating.  I had seen the coupon on Angie's List and wanted to have a bid on the total project before I purchased the coupon.  While the floor plan of my house is approx. 1500 sq. ft., I knew that the exterior wall space was much more than that.  Jared was very thorough in explaining the process and provided me with copies of the contractors license and certificate of liability insurance without my asking for them.  I did not want to start the project right away, and Jared was very flexible about scheduling my project.

The entire project went very well.  The crew was hard working, friendly and responsive to any questions or concerns I raised.  The project consisted of the normal uproar one should expect when having your house painted.  Windows and doors were covered, some plants got broken, overspray and drips appeared in unwanted locations.  All it took was a phone call to Jared and a team was out to fix any issues and concerns that I had.

I have not hesitated to recommend Approved Contractors and Jared Green to my friends and neighbors.

    Allstar Exteriors
They did a really great job. We have block wall around the house and we wanted to take away the block wall looks so we had it stuccoed over and it came out really nice. He knows people in the industry and they work through him. And the work that he did for us, the vinyl and the metal coating of our eaves, was the work of an artist; the guy is just phenomenal. We also had some windows installed. And they found problems that we had and they fixed those, and some things for free. We will be using them again if needed.

    Specialty Siding
They are a contractor and we had some other estimates that were cheaper but they were from handyman so it's a question of how good it would be done. They were a little expensive compared to other estimates we got. We haven't had the work done yet. They were high but other than that, the process of them coming out to give the estimate went well. They were very professional.

    GRAMS CONSTRUCTION
I spent close to $4000 on that service. I have had construction people in the past that were terrible. The guy I talked to spoke English, knew what he was doing, and is experienced. All the things you would want in a contractor, from answering calls to showing up, he did everything, he was very good. I would trust him to do anything and he is an older guy that knows what he is doing and he was excellent. He does quality work and does what he says. He can do windows, siding and remodeling, he is that good. The thing I liked about him was that he got a roofer to do some work for me and I was very happy with him. Her did an excellent job of replacing all the fascia boards and did a good job and he recommended a new material and all the fascias around the house look nice. His pricing was also fine.

    Horizon Construction & Remodeling Inc
We had been considering an exterior renovation for some time. Our mid 1970's wood siding was looking weathered and our old aluminum windows were difficult to open and close and not very energy efficient. We were also thinking about enclosing a 2nd story deck off the master bedroom. Rather than splitting these into separate jobs with 2 or 3 specialty contractors we wanted to find a company capable of doing it all. After reviewing Angie's List we found Horizon Construction & Remodeling in Orange, CA. They had a lot of recent positive reviews covering a broad range of different projects. We spoke by phone with Enna Eskin, Horizon's office mgr, who spent quite a bit of time getting an understanding of what we wanted done. Shortly thereafter, we met with company owner Mark Besnos and discussed options. Mark was very informative and offered a lot of design advice in addition to his contracting know-how. At a 2nd meeting we reviewed Horizons quote and agreed on the scope of work and price. This was presented in a very professional written format. We did decide to exclude the 2nd story deck enclosure. Horizon had a crew ready to work 3 business days later. They removed the old siding and unfortunately did not find any plywood sheathing underneath. This, with a couple other things became Change Order No. 1. We eventually had a few more change orders for changes we requested or Horizon suggested but Horizon was able to stay within their original schedule of 4 weeks even with a few lost days due to weather. The crew was always at work early, every day. They were pleasant to be around. They were eager to make sure everything was done correctly and to our expectations. They did a pretty good job of managing the debris and cleaned up everyday. You could tell these guys took pride in their work. They spent 10 minutes on their final day taking pictures of themselves in front of the house. Window installation day came as a little surprise, about a 15 minute warning. It was a surprise because Enna was always checking in to see if things were going well and to let us know what the next stage of work was going to be. We would have preferred a little more advance notice and Enna apologized for that, but in hindsight, it was just as well we didn't know. They came, they installed and they were out in one day. No worries. We want to point out that we were so comfortable with Mark's soft-sell presentation, the Angie's List referrals, our gut feel, and the competence we perceived from Horizon that we accepted their proposal without any competitive bids! Could we have gotten better pricing? Possibly. But the fact that the house now looks great and the whole process was virtually stress-free made it well worth it. And while the cost turned out to be a little more than we'd planned to spend we feel we received a good value from Horizon. We'd recommend Horizon and would use them for any future work we need done.
