    Marsden's Foot Comfort Center
Service went very well. I've been patronizing this business 5+ years. Getting to them means a long unpleasant drive through Los Angeles area traffic, but this business is worth it. They know their product lines and customers well. Podiatrists send patient referrals to them. I have a problem caused by a shifting bone in one of my feet, and must wear corrective shoes. The shoes eliminate the need for surgery. Cost of services is not cheap, but I'm not complaining, the results are worth the price.

    Scott Forman MD
To deal with the torn tendon, Dr. Forman explained how to avoid surgery (even though he is a surgeon!). He recommended the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment and follow up physical therapy. The PRP treatment is working pretty well as I can now walk normally. Also, he is a nice man who takes time to explain things. If I weren't moving out of California, he would forever be my go-to doctor for any feet problems.

I got an appointment and was soon in their office. I was immediately diagnosed (hardly a wait!), and given a cortisone shot to reduce the inflammation. I had casts taken for custom orthotics, which were delivered to their office a few days later, and have been using them since. So far, so good, the pain is gone, but I know they'll be there to take care of me if something goes awry. They turned out to be in my insurance's physician's network, and my out-of-pocket expenditures were trivial. Caring and professional doctor (Dr. Fransen), friendly staff, and a very clean facility. The location had plenty of parking and was easy to get to.

It went very well. These guys are far more than just "shoe salesmen." They are trained and certified pedorthists who work closely with podiatrists to make shoes for people with medical problems, including diabetic amputees. My pedorthist, Benjamin, always remembers me and my situation very well. He obviously identifies with his work and takes a great deal of personal satisfaction in doing a good job. The doctor who referred me to this shop commented that many other patients have made similar comments to her.

Every day, I become more content with my decision to trust Dr. Campbell with my health and well-being and to trust the UFAI with the billing/insurance! My pain is gone. My toes are straight - as if I never had bunions. My scars are faint; some are completely gone. I can walk, run, jump, skip. I can do anything! The UFAI is everything one could dream of when seeking out any kind of podiatric care. They are seemingly magical when it comes to handling insurance claims. They have successfully, immediately, reversed several claims my health insurance company attempted to deny. I was never asked to pay a penny more than I agreed to at my pre-op appointments. Even more magical than the perfect management of all financial aspects of treatment is the treatment itself. The UFAI has made incredible discoveries through their research, and those discoveries have led to amazing treatments of many foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Campbell is an amazing surgeon and podiatrist. He is very knowledgable, skilled, thorough, and patient. His warm, friendly demeanor always keeps me calm - which is amazing for someone who gets as anxious as I do. He sincerely listens to any questions or concerns I have, and he calmly, thoroughly, and immediately addresses them. During my first appointment, he thoroughly explained my diagnosis (bunions) and discussed conservative and surgical treatment options with me. I appreciated that he provided me with information about all of my options without pressuring me into any of them. I eventually decided to pursue surgical intervention. He made sure that I was prepared and well-informed, did a phenomenal job on the surgeries, and ensured that my recovery was comfortable and successful. One of his fantastic qualities is that he ensures the wellbeing and comfort of his patients from the first appointment indefinitely. A note for anyone who is deciding between a podiatric surgeon or orthopedic surgeon for a foot surgery: I ultimately decided that I wanted a surgeon that is an expert on feet - rather than a surgeon that focuses on the entire musculoskeletal system - to operate on my feet. Of course, Dr. Campbell being so fantastic made that decision easy! On July 31, 2015, he performed a Lapidus Bunionectomy on my right foot. My hyper-mobile 1st metatarsal-cuneiform joint was removed and the bones were properly aligned. 2 screws were used to hold the bones together and a titanium plate was fixated to the fusion site (by 5 screws) for stability. The UFAI also utilizes other modern techniques that help with the healing. For example, Dr. Campbell extracted bone marrow from my calcaneus (heel bone), which was used to make a stem cell concentrate that was placed at the fusion site. The many techniques the UFAI use are one of the reasons that they have such an amazing success rate. In addition to general anesthesia, I was given nerve block that that prevented me from feeling any pain for a day! By the 7th week, I was able to walk normally and painlessly. On December 11, 2015, Dr. Campbell performed a lapidus bunionectomy on my left foot and bilateral akin osteotomies. He had proven again to be a top-notch surgeon. Moreover, Dr. Campbell also performed my ORIF to repair a fractured hallux and my bilateral hardware removal. I would never let any other doctor work on my feet (especially now that they are so perfect)! Since the day I met Dr. Campbell, I have only worn supportive shoes approved by him (e.g., my Birkenstocks), and I always use my custom orthotics when my shoes can accommodate them. I am immensely and eternally grateful that Dr. Campbell and the UFAI have given me the gift of painless and effortless mobility!

    Kobayashi, Dr. Wesley M.
You will see nothing but raves about this man because he is the best. I can't even tell you how good he is. He is brilliant. The people he works with are pretty good. The front office leaves a little bit to be desired. He will get new staff eventually, I think. I have been going there for 25 years.

He told me he was going to help me get my medical condition solved and would not let me fall through the cracks. He has a wonderful staff and his follow up great. I am still able to call him if I have any questions, and he will answer them for me. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was in a lot of pain from an ingrown toenail. I called Dr. Liebeskind's office and he was able to see me the next day. When I went in he and his staff helped me through a very painful experience with care and humor, which I really appreciated!!

    Wickman, Dr. Amy M.
I fell at Christmas. I've gone 3 months without walking. She is a woman, she is very personable, came into talk to me the night of the surgery, as well as the morning, she is very easy to communicate with, and you feel she has your best interests completely at heart. She told me all the possibilities of the surgery, she's been amazing, the last time I hugged her, I have metal in my leg, and I might have to have another surgery. She is so professional, she walks into the room, she has a commanding presence, she is very intelligent, and she knows her stuff. My surgeon was out of town. Someone recommended her to me because she does spinal surgery. I can't praise her highly enough.
