  • Great company to deal with. Excellent communication. Beware of companies that advertise that they are licensed and insured. This one is. The CPUC is the licensing agency (California Public Utilities Commission). I think you will be very pleased if you decide to deal with this company.

  • Failed to honor insured damage claim During a move, Meathead employees severely damaged a teak library unit with an original cost of $16,000. But, I thought "No, worries, I bought their REPLACEMENT VALUE insurance." It has been 66 days now and I still have no resolution. Meathead rep will not turn my call over to a supervisor. I have requested numerous times to be provided with the insurance carrier name and have yet to receive it. Below is an abbreviated version of my complaint. 9/26 (Day 1): I contacted Meathead, provided a completed claim form and photos and was referred to their concierge service to help me find a place for repairs. The concierge was a joke. They gave me a list of 3 places. #1 was a company that only did business by email--no physical address or phone number. #2 was a furniture upholsterer that did "refinishing on the side." (Oh sure, I'll hand over my gorgeous upscale library to a guy who specializes in upholstery.) The third company said "we won't do business with Meathead Movers." I called the rep at Meathead to complain. He said "go get a bid." (At this point I requested an insurance adjuster -- which was declined). I started researching companies qualified to do restoration on a high-end piece of furniture. What I found out is that quality companies charge to come to do an estimate (otherwise they'd be wasting their time giving out estimates instead of working.) I called Meathead back to tell them this and the guy said "my supervisor said he needs one bid." So, because they would not pay for a bid, I paid $150 for a restorer to come look at it. The quote was nearly $10,000! So, after a couple of weeks the rep told me the boss wants 3 bids! After a couple of weeks, I get a call from the concierge service with some companies to contact. Most of them did not have websites or photos of work to look at. Mostly, they were a bunch of handymen who do minor work and not specializing in restoration of fine furniture. I complained to the rep. It took him 10 days but he came up with a few more companies. I finally was able to obtain another estimate without paying them in advance to come out -- the company looked great and their bid was substantially less. I sent Meathead the bid with the caveat that if the damage is worse than detailed on the bid, there may be a revision. I sent that bid to them on 11/15. 12/1 (Day 66 with NO RESPONSE): Two more weeks have passed and I still have no answers. After countless email conversations, telephone calls and the usual canned response "I apologize for the delay ... I realize you are upset ... and blah blah blah," Please note: This is an abbreviated version that hits the high points only. I have a file that contains 54 email conversations documenting my claim along with numerous phone calls – all of which have resulted in not honoring the claim. It’s my feeling that they are not intending to resolve this issue or want to wear me down until I give up.

  • They started working immediately. From the very first minute when the crew arrived, guys disassembled our bed, secured and hauled out all our furniture, then they transported everything to our new place, put back together our furniture - it took less than 1 week. The stuff arrived in great shape. The movers are the real deal. Can't say enough good things about them. Thanks again !

  • I had 4 good looking and strong guys and have never seen anyone move so fast and efficient. For all fragile items, they took great care in securing it with their blankets, tape, etc just for free to prevent anything from being damaged. They did everything so professionally! If you want fast, efficient movers and don't want your things to get damaged or your time to be wasted.. call royal moving!

  • Art, Andrew, Nick showed up early and had my entire apartment packed and ready to go in an hour. They brought their own tools/supplies and wrapped all my furniture in plastic wrap combined with blankets. I was really nervous about my stuff, so I decided to double check how safe was the wrapper and it was actually a solid padding between the outer(blanket) and the inner(funiture) parts. Not one thing was mishandled or broken or damaged in any way. I'm very thankful to this company making such a great job for me.

  • The move went quite well. Frank and Chewie worked extremely fast, but at the same time were friendly and complete professional. Given the heat (over 100-degrees that day) I was amazed at their efficiency. In fact, we had enough time left over from the four hours we contracted for that they assisted me in re-assembling some furniture that needed to be taken apart prior to the move. There was a small scheduling snafu that was immediately rectified by Daniel (All Star proprietor), which my wife and I were extremely grateful for. Hopefully we won't have to move in the near future, but if we do we won't hesitate to contact All Star.

  • The guys arrived exactly on time. They were extremely courteous, professional, and efficient throughout the entire move. They had absolutely no issues quickly disassembling the furniture, loading the truck, arriving at the new place, unloading and assembling everything in the most careful and professional way possible. They were done ahead of the predicted time. Overall a seamless move with no hiccups and no issues whatsoever. We would definitely use this company again.

  • They were prompt, courteous, and very professional. They came into my house and immediately started to take apart the roll top desk. As one person was removing the parts, the other was carrying out the pieces to the truck. Very efficient! I will definitely use them again. My mother has items that need to be removed, so I will call them as soon as she is ready. They offer great coupons,
too! My coupon was $49.00 to remove one bulky item, and they offered another coupon for $50.00 off on their next visit!

  • Pro Movers live up to their name...they are truly PROs!!   They called ahead with arrival time (and were exactly on-time), they were friendly and efficient.  I felt like they cared for my stuff like it was their own.  Everything was wrapped and a wheeled on dollies very carefully.  Stairs were no issue.  These guys never complained and not one scratch or nick on the furniture or any walls.
They are reasonably priced, give excellent customer service and are efficient!  Excellent all the way around!!!

  • The entire process was smooth; they arrived on time, were adaptable and handled all of our requests.  Many of our items were heavy and bulky and had to be moved down a very long flight of stairs.  No complaints at all.
