Offer top quality home comfort system equipment for purchase at competitive pricing, while providing you with outstanding and professional care from our entire staff Do not do business with this company, they take advantage and prey on people who are not familiar with an AC system and in our case as well, the elderly, they overwhelm you with information that is just salesman double talk. It all starts off with Mitchell, came to the condo on a Saturday, promises you the world, and then tried to sell my dad a condenser for $10,000. Luckily I was present and I didn't let that happen. Mitchell pointed out how old the AC unit was, I was aware of this, the blower is an inside blower/air handler, and I asked Mitchell “Shouldn't the air handler be replaced as well it’s just as old. His reply "Oh no that's been replaced so don't fix what aint broken". This was not true, I’ve since looked up the model I have and the blower is as old as the condenser. Settled on a price of $6,700 which I knew was high but it's the middle of summer and I understood the higher price, come to find out that price not justified. Set up install for following Monday but didn't happen for 1 1/2 weeks because of HOA protocol. Being a condo I’m sure Avis knew it would take some time to setup the install, but Mitchell sure was in a hurry to get signature and gladly took my $680 cash. Once installed Mitchell assured me any problems let me know you have a 10 year warranty, more BS its 5 according to the paperwork that another tech found inside the unit. AC has been blowing air but it has never been cold, first time I had on for an hour and a half, got down to 83 degrees, was in my office sweating while working. Oh yea Mitchell you never took a supply reading to see if it was at least 18 degrees lower than the return, I text Mitchell many times no answer. My dad has been leaving messages to the owner Craig Smith's own cell phone who prior to the sale would call right back or answer, now done deal no call back, no text back either. This has been going on for weeks still haven't heard from either of these individuals. Just so happened that my neighbor was having something done to her AC and they had to access something in my condo because we share the same condensation drain. Their AC tech comes over did what he had to do and says BTW see you had a new condenser installed, yes, he then asked why wasn't this 1970's blower replaced? I answer, I was told it had been, he replies, any reputable AC person in the business can tell you hasn't. He asked, did you pay over $4200 for just the condenser, yes almost $7000 I answered, he informed me for that much money at least the blower should have been replaced as well and be matched to the new AC unit otherwise won't be as cold and run as efficient as it should. He told me his company does these condos and you get everything that is needed including a new blower/air handler, whatever it takes at $6400-$6800, "Including return air filters read that Mitchell?" Turns out this tech was more than a tech, he said to me very politely, "the company you dealt with really wronged you and they and the pitch man (read that Mr. M) made quite a profit off you. Basically you have a $7,000 fan that will blow moderately cool maybe but mostly blow room temp." Boy was he right! Thank you Mitchell and thank you for still not returning calls or text, you as well Craig Smith I understand you still have not returned a call to my father, sure got busy all of a sudden. These people will promise you anything prior to the sale, once sale is made they're in the wind and good luck trying to get them to back up their promises or contract. Finally a tech from Avis showed up did his best by adding more refrigerant, which by the way was low, (brand new unit leaking already, who knows), to the AC but, yet at a cost of $6700, as I sit here typing, AC has been on an hour, condo is 85 degrees and I'm still sweating! Condo is less than 900sq ft., installed a 3 ton Lenox, it should be freezing in here why I am sweating. My dad a former Marine, trust people, gives the benefit of the doubt, and takes people at their word on a hand shake, I don't, this is a perfect example why. I feel that the administrators along with certain personal at Avis Heating and don't abide by the mission statement, thanks for the lesson. I have learned a lot in the past few weeks about HVAC systems and what they should cost, what they include and what they actually cost from legit companies. Since I haven't heard back from Avis, I've been taken! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AVIS HEATING AND AIR, THEY ARE SHYSTERS, MITCHELL WILL SAY ANYTHING, TALKS NON STOP WITH HIS FLOW CHARTED SALES PITCH, AND THEN HE PROCEEDS TO TAKE YOU FOR AS MUCH MONEY AS HE CAN, BELIEVE IT, IT HAPPENED TO ME!

  • We've been using Mighty Ducts for many years now as Andreas has worked his magic in keeping our very old HVAC system running way beyond its normal lifespan. Our family refers to him as "MacGyver" since he was always able to work the impossible. Marie and Andreas are very professional to deal with, always fair and honest in their work and often go way beyond the call of duty to please their customers. When the time came recently for us to invest in a new full replacement system, we wanted the Mighty Ducts (MD) team to do the work. We received three different quotes and chose MD because their quote had the smartest solution to all of the things we wanted (other companies didn't bother to learn what we wanted). Since we've never purchased a new HVAC system we had a lot to learn about the details. Andreas took his time, explained everything in as much detail as we needed and gave us his professional opinion whenever we asked --- even if it meant less money in his pocket. He's a stickler for the details and we like that. The actual work took three days as it was a big project in the middle of summer. The MD team was amazing as they were incredibly clean in their work, always professional and respectful of our home while working long, hot hours to get the system completed on time. We were amazed at the many details that the MD team did to make our new HVAC system a great investment. They didn't just slap in some new equipment and move on (like other companies wanted to do) and Andreas knows his stuff --- which gave us great confidence. We're now enjoying the fruits of their labor as our house maintains a very comfortable temperature thanks for the dual zone Lennox system we had installed. We will continue to refer our friends to this highly professional company and we can't say enough positive things about our experience in working with them. They were there for us when we needed repairs to our old system and they were there for us in helping find the right HVAC for our needs. We're very happy!

  • One system was going down intermittently, 2 other guys told us nothing was wrong with the system and it might be freezing up over night.. it's SOCAL and 101 degrees this week.. Yeager came out on short notice, showed up early actually.. Figured out a capacitor was faulty and causing the issue.. They also noticed no filter was on the AC unit, and all the other units had dirty filters.. they replaced the missing filter, cleaned the other filters, and cleaned all 4 systems, checking the tube seals, and top off with frion.. all for the same price as the other guys charged me to look at it for two minutes and say nothing was wrong with it, and it needed to thaw. Just a great experience, prompt, responsive, detailed, knowledgeable, polite, cleaned up after themselves, and great value for the price they charged.. this is the only company i plan to use for both my home and company..

  • My husband and I were very disappointed with the work a former company had done installing new duct work and removal of asbestos in our attic. After this job cost us a lot of money the air flow from the vents was terrible. By the time we realized how bad the problem was when the weather became unbearably hot, the company said it was past the 90 days and would not fix the problem without costing us more money. We were weary about calling out another company for fear of having the same problems. We saw an add on a little sticker that came with our paper and decided to call to have a tune-up since it had been over a year since the last disaster. We called Home Comfort and had the maintenance and a new air scrubber installed to help purify the air in our home. It made a huge difference. We also paid to have the yearly maintenance performed. At that time Chris was the technician who quoted us a price to have all the duct work re-done but we thought it was too much money to spend and decided to wait. Bringing us to the present day, Home Comfort had been calling us for several months telling us that we still had one free maintenance visit left that was already paid for. Unfortunately we were unable to make the time for the visit due to many medical problems my husband was facing and with many scheduled doctor appointments. Finally I convinced my husband to let us make an appointment as we were facing another hot and uncomfortable summer and the work needed to be done. At first I was not happy as the first appointment I had scheduled was cancelled and changed to later that week then they tried to cancel that appointment again. I got upset and said I wanted them to send someone even if it was late afternoon. I told my husband here we go again with yet another company that was going to give us the run around. We were pleasantly surprised when a young well-groomed, well mannered technician name John Ruiz showed up to do the inspection. He was very friendly but professional at all times. He checked everything out and then let us know what was needed. Even though he had already cleaned the unit outside he convinced my husband for us to sit down with him and take a look at what he had to offer in the way of a new unit. He thoroughly explained everything with pictures and helped us decide on a unit that best fit our needs as well as being affordable. He answered all our questions and to our surprise was even able to schedule us to have the new system installed the very next day. The installers showed up the next morning on time (Enrique Ceja and his nephew Enrique Ceja) (all in the family) ready to work. They were there 9 hours and I never saw them stop working except for a short lunch break. The Enrique Sr. was very knowledgeable and said he had been in the business for over 20 years. They did an excellent job and stayed make sure the system was working before leaving. John followed up with another visit on his way home several days later to check out the system and make sure we were satisfied with the work that had been done. He even took pictures up in the attic to show us the difference. Now I can honestly say we have a very comfortable flow of air coming from all the vents – even a little to cool at times, but we are very pleased. We would highly recommend Home Comfort USA to anyone looking for quality affordable work done by people that really care. Thank you John, both Enrique’s and Home Comfort for a Job Well Done!   • Terrible, supervisor said he could not find the problem, and gave us estamate for $16000.I found the problem, it was just a bad plug in. That is wrong .I will be contacting the better business bureau. I do not appreciate Javier trying to rip off senior citizens. Very dishonest company. We will be spreading the word all over social media about our experience.

  • The process went well overall. The only glitch was that the installation crew (not just one person) called in sick Monday morning after MLK day. Maybe they got the flu or something. Sherlock managed to get another crew to the house at 1pm, which still gave it a 5-hour late start. Once they got there, the work was done carefully and professionally, including negative pressurization to make sure none of the asbestos got loose while the old ducts were removed and packaged up for hazmat. The work was completed properly, there were *no* issues with inspections, I had access to a lot of help and advice from Sherlock, and I feel comfortable with the process and the results. They seem to go the extra mile to support their customer set. And of course, the replacement furnace works perfectly. Mom is happy with it.

  • We've been using Air Care for years now. They always do great. Not to mention everyone on their staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. At our previous home we used them to install an air conditioning system as the home only had central heating. They did a fabulous job then as well.
