  • They've doubled since I started with them, so I was debating, I'm due in March to renew but I was debating.

They're punctual, they set up an appointment pretty much right away so now you have to wait two weeks to get the order you know if it's a part that it got orders you got to wait that time period. Most of the time their professional, there's only one person instead of, couple of times you know I don't say anything I would like to shake them but the rest of them have been very professional, very very pleasant and stuff like that.

  • I called the Home Warranty company. They dispatched my claim to a local Garage Door Opener company who called me to set up an appointment to diagnois the problem. They were out the next day and determined the Opener needed to be replaced  and it also needed to be upgraded, as it was very old and didn't have the reverse return (which is a code issue)  and they had to instal a totally new system, because the one in my garage is no longer available. The next day they arrived with all of the equipment they needed to replace and upgrade my Garage Door Opener.
They removed the old equipment and cleaned up after themselves.
The Warranty worked exactly as I had hoped it would!
The actual Provider of the service is: Tru-Pro Garage Door Opener

  • The contractors they use don't reflect well on the warranty company.  Out of the 6 service calls I've made in a short time, only 1 company did a good job.
They go by the techinician's notes and are unable to verify.

  • This all began on 11/25/2011. The kitchen drain became plugged. First Amercan sent a "plumber" out a week later to clear the drain. In the process, he managed to break the cleanout. He did a sloppy job repairing the damage he caused and refused to complete the repairs. It took another two weeks to get someone to patch the wall. This work was done in a very sloppy manner. A month later, the drain became plugged again. This time, a serious leak had developed. Since it had been more than thirty days since the previous repairs had been done, we had jto pay an additional service fee. First American sent another plumber out this time. We are supposed to pay $60.00 service fee for each incident. This time, they demanded $100.00. The plumbing repairs were completed, but it took until June, 2012 to get the wall repaired. They still refused to complete the repairs the first plumber had left undone. Anyone using First American, my opinion is that most of the service people they use are incompetent and unprofessional.

  • In one instance, I called Old Republic and they scheduled a plumber to visit. The plumbing company responded as promised and we found the plumber very helpful and efficient. He fixed the leak which was caused by corrosion of the bolts connecting the tank with the stool and recommended that the internal components also be replaced, which was approved by Old Republic. In the second instance, the washer quit spinning. We booked a service call online with Old Republic and the technician came the next day and fixed the problem. In each case, we paid the $55 service fee.
